Back in the day I really wanted to get those Mechanoid books, as I was heavily into Palladium, but was never able to find them. Eventually they released the Mechanoid invasion for RIFTS, which I ran my groups through. They had a blast with that one. I liked the concept of psionic cyborg invaders.

I always loved the Last Stand desperate survival horror/apocalypse setting of Mechanoids. I like the nihilism nature of the setting.

I actually like the meccanoid invasion trilogy of course I like running campaigns where the first session starts with abandon all hope ye who enter my game

I guess I can beleive it.... but, damn, I can't believe Kevin hasn't released a new, updated Mechanoids RPG book series yet!? Rifts Sourcebook 2 was such a good start. It stirred up a ton of interest among the Palladium fan base. In a recent interview, Kevin said that the new Mechanoids is so good, that it could outstrip Rifts in popularity. Maybe it could even be the space opera RPG that you've been craving, Max.

I love that they included MDC rules for The Mechanoid Invasion in the Mechanoid comic books, but it was cancelled before they actually got to the Mechanoid stats! : (

Yes, the focus is on men at arms, but any competent GM could expand the setting to include scientists, scholars, mechanics, engineers, and such, but every survivor better have weapon skills so they can contribute in combat instead of just being victims. But by providing non-combat skills like Mechanics and Engineering as base skills you provide for more than just combat scenarios.

I always wanted to do a Robotech/Mechanoids crossover where a REF/Sentinels Fleet encounters a Mechanoid fleet attacking a Earth/Sentinels Colony World. The world is doomed, so the Fleet has to infiltrate the Mechanoid Mothership to survive. The Mechanoids Invasion reminds me of the Invid Invasion.
