MechWarrior 5 launched a year ago to mixed reviews from all across the community. The new DLC, Heroes of the Inner Sphere, looks to be a real game changer. Let's take a quick look!
Excellent first video Kyle! Really enjoy your writing style, kept things fast paced and interesting throughout. My only critique of your video is that it comes across a bit more like a presentation of the game rather than a full review. A more in-depth analysis of the game with your writing skills would certainly be an enjoyable watch! You’ve earned a happy subscriber. I look forward to your future videos!
I was actually shocked that you had so few subscribers. Your script and editing style are amazing. You should probably stick to this type of content (funny "reviews") maybe how maxor does it. Or basicly some condensed highlights with funny voice over. Anyways I wish you the best of luck and keep it up!
Hi! first off great vid! love the way you approach making vids. keep going! would love to see a bit more of a breakdown of how coop works, things you can and cant do etc as there isnt really anything out there detailing this that i can see. new player here and looking forward to blowing shit up!
Thank you so much! I hadn't considered doing a co-op breakdown before even though a lot of my footage shows me playing with friends. There are definitely a few hurdles to overcome when playing with friends, but I would say it is definitely worth it to stomp around with a lance of pals. I'll think about how I could explain that in greater detail, perhaps in its own short video.
Americans, if a Corsair is a Corsair and horsehair is horsehair and a crosshair is a crosshair and air is air then why is a lair a “layer”? And to just Kyle Again I couldn’t believe this was your first effort! It was slick and humorous and well put together. Sometimes I think perfectly great youtubers are successful or not at the random whim of some mysterious part of the RU-vid algorithm. Or maybe God gets angry at Americans for pronouncing lair as layer? I’m totally kidding. You’re great.
Kyle your writing style is an undiscovered gem. If you can keep doing this you need someone to pay you. I was laughing so hard I was choking! "You'll be hired to kill Mechs, buildings, and any hope humanity had for the Geneva Convention." "And you, my friend, are the pot roast!" Pure platinum, Kyle. Pure Platinum!
You seem to learn pretty quick. I thought you done a jam up job on the video and Mech should give you a credit because you told the truth, the good and the bad and I have decided to buy it. To me if you can make these guys money then go for it. Well done, well put together, keep up the good work. Just don't get stuck on one game to long. Like me I go on binges but I do burn myself out after a while. Again thanks for the info and yes keep going. You're not bad now and you want do nothing but get better with time.
HOTIS to collect all the hero mechs then do kestrel lancers in my opinion. I loved HOTIS and the pirate mission chain was really good but so was stop the launch. Both give awesome hero mech rewards.
It's difficult to separate the core content from the DLC because it is largely just expands on what's already there. The additional content includes new mechs, weapons, and mission types. The base game feels a little barren without the extra content so I would absolutely recommend the DLC.
You're looking at the jumpship edition, right? If so, then that should net you the base game, Heroes of the Inner Sphere, and Legend of the Kestral Lancers. Honestly, that's a pretty good amount of content for $60. The only major downside i can think of is that Playstation isn't a fan of mods, so you'll be limited to official content only.
"You do know that this game is very old and it came out in the 90s right?" You do know it's actually a decade older than the '90? First battletech was 1984, Battledroids, by the good'ol FASA. The '90 era was expanding on the concept... fun and fond memories of my pre-teens years.
