Grace Li is a Stanford medical student whose debut novel, "Portrait of a Thief", was an instant New York Times bestseller. She is passionate about creative writing and medicine, as well Asian representation in the arts.
"So much of medicine is talking to people - it's experiencing all the highs and lows of life. And so for me, I hope that everything I learned from writing can, in some way, be transferred over to medicine and learning how to communicate more clearly to better tell patient stories and to use that to provide them the best care possible."
