Medal of Honor was the 2010 reboot to the storied shooter franchise. We played it on PC on maxed out graphics. This was the second to last Medal of Honor game before they gave up on the series. While this game doesn't quite have the magic of the early MOH games, it is definitely one of the best shooters that was grounded in real world events. It feels authentic and realistic, at least as realistic as a video game can get. The game was a minor success, and did spawn a sequel, but unfortunately this was one of the last hurrah's for the legendary franchise.
The story begins in late 2001 during the opening days of the invasion of Afghanistan. Tier 1 operatives of a Navy SEAL squad from DEVGRU, call sign Neptune, composed of operatives code-named Mother, Voodoo, Preacher and Rabbit are sent to meet with an Afghan informant named Tariq, who has intelligence on the Taliban. Neptune is ambushed by Chechen forces, and fights their way through the village to recover Tariq.
As always we used relevant dialogue, important gameplay and all cutscenes to create a fluid cinematic experience. We hope you enjoy!

This was the most moving shooter game I've ever played, just seemed to hit home a lot harder than any other games like cod modern warfare.

The first modern warfare was amazing but your right, MOH in the modern setting hit differently and hit hard. It felt authentic and few shooters left me loving the campaign more than the multiplayer

Special Forces are trained differently. Once those bullets start flying and the adrenaline starts pumping their survival instincts kick in. When someone starts shooting at you, you become utterly fearless (mostly) in the face of danger and experience what's known as a combat high. Most people know they'll survive a fractured leg. A bullet isn't as easy to survive.

@@mitchconner2021 Yeah, the multiplayer was Damn good, unfortunately, spawn points weren’t really randomized, which made it easy to spawn camp. First team to get set up to camp first usually ended up being the winning team

The level Neptune’s Net is based on the real events of Air Force Combat Controlman John Chapman who’s awarded the Medal of Honor for courageous actions and sacrifice saving the lives of his Seal Team and a Ranger QRF (total of 23 people). All of it is caught on drone camera and the footage is on RU-vid.

Gamer's Little Playground I can't help but think an old WWII reboot would revive the series, though. Going back in time might've been what the series needed if it didn't buy the farm. Ahh well, at least it went down with a Linkin Park music video behind it lol

Yeah could be, but I think they would have jump on that train quick, before COD goes back to WW2. I think if they can get it out before COD then they would stand a chance to revive the series

Gamer's Little Playground For sure. But knowing CoD, one of two things could happen. they'll either: Take the reception of Infinite Warfare and attempt to jump back to WWII, or they'll run with whatever millions of sales and attempt to milk this futuristic stuff more, and even Modern Warfare 'cause we all know the remastering won't end with just CoD4. No massive series has dusted off WWII as of yet, and in the case of CoD, going back without butchering it all will prove to be a great challange unless they do a remaster (which is the safest approach). MoH has the advantage in making a new WWII game since it still obviously has that formula, and I feel that if they ran with it, they could make an absolute masterpiece of storytelling. One last note would be that no WWII game truly featured the perspective of the German soldier, and a mission playing as a German soldier helping sabotage and undermine The Reich from the inside and attempt an overthrow, as they have during the war, would blow everything clear out of the water.

Excellently done game movie, wasn't bogged down in gameplay, didn't let up on the story, very well done :D Many game movies seem to just showcase on how well people can play specific games, so you wait 30 minutes in between cutscene. This is done such that you get a taste of gameplay (from a good player) but are ultimately focused on the story. Very well done

I remember this game catching a lot of flak when it came out. Everyone thought that you played as terrorists, when it was just soldiers in disguise. You could tell those who talked about it had never even played it.

I know this is a bit obvious but I like the call sign names,vodoo,dusty,panther,etc also with the personality as well with Neptune team (voodoo,mother, preacher and rabbit) being more personal and emotional as a team contrast to Wolfpack (dusty,Duce,panther and Vegas) being more professional and always on task (not saying team Neptune isn’t just more noun emotional on how they do it) and there characters show it off greatly with there voice lines with the ranger team feeling more bigger piece to the military with a big group (in a certain way)

Gotta love this game. No offense dude, but doing the gunner of the chopper mission, I don't see why you not using rockets more often. Not the "guided rockets", the regular one. When you attacking the village, you didn't use more often.

35:05 Not a military person but I’m pretty sure shooting on unknowns is a bad idea. Not sure what the dude is on the monitor but being bloodthirsty when you don’t even know what you’re firing at isn’t a great strategy to win wars cause like in this you could be shooting on friendlies or the local rebels fighting the same enemy. You already have one enemy in the mix adding a second one don’t sound like a great plan.

I really love how this game is so authentic to military stuff. The establishment of Bagram Airbase through the XFA system of the DOD, the tactics, everything. Ending was very sad too...

The fact that this game had great story and gameplay but kinda mid multiplayer mode and also the game released at the time when Cod Mw2 and Cod Black Ops 1 were the more popular fps game at that time, so MoH 2010 in terms of modern warfare fps was kind of in the background when it came out

Unlike COD, the story of this game was based on a real event that happened in Afghanistan, called Operation Anaconda. The final act as well, with Rabbit and the SEALs on the mountain top, is based off of the Battle of Takur Ghar, which took place during Operation Anaconda.

Yeah the game itself went up to 4k for us. We didn't bother to record in 4k though because the game didn't look too much better than on 1080p. It wasn't worth the extra hassle of longer render times and longer uploading times. There aren't many advanced graphics options int he game, but overall it does look good, especially for a 2010 game
