Yep, the AFO teams were a real concept in Operation Anaconda. They were a small conglomerate of reconnaissance guys from all across the JSOC SMUs, who were highly senior and experienced even already being Tier 1. AFO Wolfpack with Dusty and Deuce was based on the 2 man AFO Juliet team with legendary Delta Force operators Bob Horrigan and Kris Kossem. The AFO Neptune team lead by Mother was based on a combination of Mako 30 and 31 teams, lead by DevGru team leaders Brit Slabaninski and a legendary DevGru Sniper named Mike “Goody” Goodboe.. He was killed in Africa while doing contract work for the Central Intelligence Agency.

Love the references and tributes in this game to the battle of Takur Ghar. Very surprising that this story had yet to be told in a videogame. Only thing I wish is that they would do it again now with more refined and possibly tactical gameplay. I feel like a game based on real DEVGRU missions with a realism element to the gameplay experience would hit now a days.
