@@Quality3rr0r I've course it does, to me it doesn't really matter if you played this on either the PS2 or Xbox PS2 & Xbox MOH veterans are united in our love for this game
Its criminally sad that this piece doesn't have the recognition it deserves. Because if it was from some HBO series or movie it would be one of the greatest in history and be played at numerous concerts
Military themed orchestra music are my favourite. The original SOCOM theme and SOCOM Combined Assault were my favourite as they resonated so well with the game. Sad to see these games aren't being made anymore with amazing orchestral soundtracks. :/
Skyler Rodgers YES! It's so sad that they've brushed the series under the rug. I was hoping for a new SOCOM game for the PS4, but it looks like we won't see it anytime soon. :'/
I would die the happiest man on earth if they brought back the OG medal of honor games and ESPECIALLY Socom. Preferably combined assault. One of my all time favorite games :'(
Friedrich Gutenberg such pure class and im not the only one age 9 i remember i bought it in game with my mum it cost like £35 when it first came out but brilliant game and rising sun and frontline

My father and I would play this game when I was really young. I remember sitting at the menu alot listening to this song because it sounded nice. I lost my father in 2005 when I was 7. To this day I cant listen to this song fully without tears coming to my eyes. I miss you dad
I just came here to remember this game and I just about broke down. I played this game so much. I played with my Dad and alone. I played the campaign, I reckon I can recall the missions down to the smallest detail. I miss this old gem...
Dude, this song means so much to me. Me, my father and a bunch of family friends would come over when I was really young and we would constantly play Team Death Match on the new PS2 console. So many good memories. This song brings back so many emotions.
@@DreadPirateRoberts121 But new games aren't good, developers don't make them like they use too. It's a whole different way of thinking nowadays and it's sad really. Older games are worth remastering because honestly they're far better than modern games.
@@スペース-o2h idk if your a techboomer but modern games are more creative than remasters, mostly due to the fact that remasters don't take a lot of effort. So we have this result where a lot of shitty remasters like Silent Hill HD, MW1 remastered, Crash team racing, goldeneye reloaded, skyrim so on and so forth. Pessimism is not reality
@@DreadPirateRoberts121 Creative is NOT a word I would use to describe today's game landscape. It's boring and riddled with pay walls, it's all you can do to stomach the shitty stories let alone the gameplay that leaves you wondering who let the autistic kid log into the programmers PC.
@@TheDrakorSynn Both the old and the new have their own follies. Past games are memorabilia to us, I would love to see a return of this game too. I want to see the PS2 Battlefronts remastered. But I can’t ask that bc the Game Industry itself is mostly negative. Look at the remaster of CTR from Activision, Microtransactions that aren’t needed. Cyberpunk being just as broken as Sonic ‘06. I dont disagree with both points made. I agree to extents, all I want is a game I would enjoy without a catch behind it.
“When people ask me what I did in the war, I tell them I did the same thing we all did, we fought for what was right. I've come to realize that there's nothing good about war, but there is good in why you fight wars, and we were all fighting for the same thing.”
War is a necessary evil, that's what happened to the Nazis, the British, the USA and several other nations, in the end everything worked out the Jews can be freed

The song made me cry and makes me remember myself when I was young in the winter, covering myself in bed and next to the heater, playing this game, God of War, and others. It was a great childhood that no one will feel like in the future. Thank you to the makers of this game
Good old times When I was the only kid in iraq who had this game And used to do sleepovers in my house every single day Every day,.. three different cousins come to my house so we can play this game for about 10-12 hours daily Having like 20 cousins I had a schedule book Of who is allowed to come Like : Friday is for fadhil and amer and ali Saturday is for dhiaa and karrar and jaffar etc We had the best fun of our life playing this game We skipped school for it We crushed joystick bcs of it It was truly the best days a human could ever ask for Despite the wars in iraq The terrorism This game made my childhood great Thank you so much
Littlebp They don't make great shooters like this game anymore. Great music, excellent story, excellent maps. It was my first like competitive shooting game.
+Scott Behnke when i was a kid i played the shit out of these games and i loved them so much now i see kids playing cod and saying its the best game ever and i just wish they could experence this franchise like we did
+Byron Blyth Amen. This was my first 4 player split screen game that I owned. Absolutely loved this and Rising Sun. The reboot was a classic. But the sequel to the reboot was terrible

To everyone that played this game, and any other game from that era, that were just like this one: You, my friend, you are the real gamer. You're a true fan, a true 'soldier'. I may not know your real name, but I know who you are, you are "Player", you are the man that lead your squad to victory, you are the one that has been through Hell, the one that spat on Death's face multiple times, and that did way more than what you needed to, just because you felt like it. Through this long journey, we've lost many friends, people that mattered a lot to us, almost like a brother or a sister. But we kept on advancing, pushing through, even at the gates of Hell, we still kept going. Why? I'll tell you why: because deep down, we wanted to complete the mission, to defeat the enemy, but mostly, to take our whole squad home safe and sound, back to their women, to their families. I salute you all, all of you that finished this game, not once, not twice, not thrice. But many times more, even more than you can count or remember. I salute you, my brothers and sisters in arms. Another fellow "Player"

***** I know, that would be cool if the Medal of Honor series returned to a WWII setting. The Call of Duty series should do the same as well I think-return to a WWII setting (or return to a Cold War setting).
Ratrone123 yes it does. not one game has been closer to my heart than frontline but European assault main theme is purely awesome. damn, I miss these type of games.
Ratrone123 "All of the 22 original team members of Infinity Ward came from the team that had worked on Medal of Honor: Allied Assault while at 2015, Inc. Activision helped fund Infinity Ward in its early days, buying up 30 percent of the company. The studio's first game, World War II shooterCall of Duty, was released on the PC in 2003."
I grew up playing Medal of Honour. While Frontline was my overall favourite, this piece from European Assault stuck with me the whole time. So few people know of it yet it is an unparalleled anthem to the sorrow and sacrifice the world experienced in world war two. Even still it captures the heroism that the world demanded of an entire generation.
What heroism? Both the allies and the axis committed their war crimes. Those who win the war end up as heroes and those who lose it end up as villains. The Allies are more responsible for World War II than the Axis. The game is good but it falls into American propaganda to see the heroes where they omit the crimes and misdeeds they did.
2020 e nosso querido medal of honor será sempre lembrado! 2021... 2022... 2023...( Enquanto eu estiver vivo sempre lembrarei desta trilha rapazes...) 2024...
Soild paras you are correct my friend but sometimes you get the answer " i fought for the people not the government" and during WW2 was the closest we got to a actual needed war to preserve freedom. Now its just for power.
@@rhinestonecowboy4689 true that's kinda what I meant people mow are told that they fight and die for the freedom of the world or to stop "terrorists"(a remainder that hitler called his enemies terrorists) from using chemical weapons While in reality they fight for oil and power
@@solidparas1925 Either way, we were brought together for a purpose. We became brothers in arms, in a fight for something greater than ourselves. We fought for the world. The Third Reich has been overrun. We don't need to be told what is right after that.
Cómo me encantaban los call of duty y los medall of honor que te contaban los acontecimientos de la segunda guerra mundial,me parecen mucho mejor estos juegos que los nuevos, fue mi primer juego de la mítica ps2 Slim.
Draϟa cod 3 when sargent dixon died and cod finest hour the russian oppening theme were the best in the series. (and yes i agree with your comment entirely!) all the fps/shooters are all about "save the world from a terrorist" why cant it be like this.
well you could call the call of duty series the son of the medal of honor series. after the first moh game, som of the developers made a new game company called infinityward.
My friend and I played this a lot. One day, we were playing while his grandad was watching in a chair. After a few minutes, his grandfather slowly got up, walked to the TV and turned it off, saying "That's enough for me" then walked into another room. I'll never forget that moment...how the war left these poor souls scared and broken 😥
And it breaks my heart man, in 30 years these games are gonna be seen as relics. Just something we played to entertain ourselves by turning history into a game. By that time there will be no more grandpas to watch their kids play these games, get up and walk out. No punch in the gut of reality that this war was a thing that happened and men had to wake up and fight in it everyday.
I'm about to cry this is amazing. I loved it when these games would use full orchestras rather than computer generated music... Nostalgia at its finest.
I'd absolutely love to see old WW2 shooters like this remade with modern graphics and controls, as long as the atmosphere and soundtrack were preserved. Nothing quite like them comes along anymore.
Congratulations soldier, Take this medal. cbsnews3.cbsistatic.com/hub/i/r/2015/11/12/0a3da14b-b9b0-45e7-b982-3e1e32790fa5/thumbnail/620x350/0d8aa982e2e2025fbfef60fc8c19dd2f/2015-11-12t164540z1193514035tb3ebbc1aju8vrtrmadp3usa-medalofonor-groberg.jpg
I really don't undestand how Christopher lennertz doesn't have the recognition he deserves, this theme is a Masterpiece as well as others Like the GUN ost.
Story: 9/10 Characters: 10/10 Gameplay: 10/10 Music: 100/10 The most memorable soundtrack in videogame history How memorable this game is on a scale? About 1 000 000 / 10 How many times do you cry when you hear this theme? Everytime
Actually, I'm not crying. I had the pleasure to play with all Medal Of Honor games of the franchise so I'm happy. "And when he gets to heaven, To Saint Peter, he will tell One more soldier reporting, Sir I've served my time in hell."
I played all the medal of honor with my father, I thank him for making me play these masterpieces, now playing battlefields and call of duty today, I understand that they are nothing compared to medal of honor
André Schulz How does that sound sick? All of those games kicked the living shit out of the ones we have now! I'd say it's anything but sick! I'd say you were sick if you DIDN'T want them back!
i loved them all. front line was a bit dull. but i loved the missions they did really tried but a somethi g was missing. now all other games were good. rising sun was my first one and it was really fun. now vanguard and EA are tied for me. for EA what i love was the russian mossions and the one battle of the bulge mission were you defend the one house and rescue the chick. vanguard i love the airborne jumps and all missions were really good.
+JTanner900 The game had a good song, that's it. Other than that it's relatively mediocre compared to the other Medal of Honor games. There's a reason this was getting 6/10 on average while Allied Assault and Frontline got 9/10 across the board.
Seriously, this is the best main theme I've ever heard for a FPS. So sad Medal of Honor has been turn into a generic FPS-COD try, with all this "modernwarfare" shit, now MoH is a soulless game and really piss me off we are not able to listen to such a magnificent track again, what a waste of talent...

No more modern or future shooters! I have too much fatigue for these kinds of games! Bring back World War II or at least World War I or something else that's historical!
This isn't just music, this is Art for the ears. This is just too beautiful to be believed that is came from an early 2000s video game. It just prooves how committed people were back then.
If medal of honor came back now with the same caliber as it was back then, they'll crush other companies such as COD and Battlefield. Because guys like us who played these as a kid will buy them without hesitation and we have the numbers to prove it
+pieterjan willems I cry too!!! It's a song that reminds me of what my grandfather went through. The honor men had for one another. They had each other's backs.
The response to the game is actually surprisingly good, however there is still a ton of politically correct stuff in it. The WWII games made from the late 1990s to the mid 2000s were the best, playing COD WWII doesn't feel the same as playing COD 2.
I played all the MOH games with my Dad too. First ever game I played was on the PS1 and it was MOH Underground. My favourite childhood memories are from playing the MOH games with my Dad ❤️
Hoje tenho 30 anos, e estou bem. Obrigado, Deus.
2:23, it made me remember all of the russian campaign, road to stalingrad, the night, the doves, the church. and mamayev hill, the morning, the snow, katyushas, the radio, oohhhh mmyyyyy ggooooooooodfddddddd
It's a great shame the medal of honor series has died. But they have left behind some of the best game sound tracks of all time. Their games may age and be forgotten but this music will live on forever!
Its better that it died while it was still respected, than to have lived on and on, becoming what Call Of Duty is now. Medal Of Honor is _ours_ to cherish. Yours. Mine. My sympathies go to those who've not had the privilege to experience this still-great franchise.
When people ask me what I did in the war, I tell them I did the same thing we all did, we fought for what was right. I've come to realize that there's nothing good about war, but there is good in why you fight wars, and we were all fighting for the same thing.
"That was a long time ago. For a lot of my buddies, the war was over. Some of them went home. Most...didn't make it. When people ask me if I was a hero in the war, I think about the ones who were left behind...They were the heroes. I don't know how I survived, but I did. So I keep their memory alive. I owe it to them. We all do. For what they did"

this was the song I listen to when my grandfather who fight in ww2 died I rarely cry but that day to this song I remembered him and his valor thank you Grandpa Dale for your sacrifice

Medal Of honor European Assault is way better than the exo jumping shit today from COD, i believe BattleField 1 is gonna be the best, probably have the same simplicity as MOH: EA but just with better graphics
