That was the part of this game I think everyone remembers the most and how intense it felt 😂I even had my Romanian dad playing this bc he loved the history it gave as Germans took over parts of Romania
I remember my dad getting the PS2 with income tax money and then we picked this game. As I was playing the D-Day landing mission, he called my uncle and said "you got to get over here and see this!"
I know this is an old comment but it's the same with me. I played the game & it enthralled me, the beach scene, the music, the settings. I started to study ww2 & it's my main interest to this day
This game was an absolute groundbreaking masterpiece not only for the WWII themed gameplay but the music and the historical aspect with an experience (in a vicarious way of gaming) of what it felt like to be an American/Allied soldier in that time... It was not about the violence or being eerie or edgy - it was purely simple and straightforward to the point of being a World War II soldier. A true work of art that honored our heroic veterans and Michael Giacchino’s music was a masterpiece (I’ll go as far to say as transcendent).... True nostalgia and memories. God bless the people who made this game and America 👍
I played this to death on my pc but I never played it on PS2 which has some similarities but quite a few differences it seems. Anyway I know have it set up with an emulator so MOH has a whole new lease of life.
Thank you for this, a literal rush of warm nostalgia just took me back to my childhood nearly two decades ago like I'm still there😫a simpler yet seemingly more fulfilling time. The music and menu sounds really hit home.
Nightlife Vegas Like the guy underneath your comment said, America didn’t really particularly much in the war nor gave a shit about Nazi until Japan decided to attack Pearl Harbour.
USA did not save Europe. UK and Canada provided Europe much more than any other country. All US did was send supplies and feed poor russians, to wake up and go again to war. And Nazi's weren't out of supplies, they just had no clothes for winter and their tigers were too heavy for russian lands. Please check yourself, I know you may be young, I'd love to think everyone did their best to stop war, but It was not case in WW2, in WW2 victim was Europe,US was watcher and Germany and Soviet Union were the aggressors, Don't buy these fairy tales. I love this game, I love how much passion It has, but from historical development this game Is not accurate at all. Speaking of war crimes, you think they would Invade Vietnam, Afghanistan,Iraq,Syria, If they were so all about good? US Is greedy country, face It dear yank.
Everyone has their memories with this game. The older gamers are here for nostalgia lol. I remember the 6 weeks holiday in 2002, being around 15. This game was one of the backdrops for the summer that impacted my family forever. RIP JJ.
Fun fact, the development team actually got Steven Spielberg to help with creating the game, and he was quite enthusiastic about helping them. It's in the behind the scenes that came with the game.
I was a sophomore in high school when the game came out. I literally was learning the exact historical war lessons just as I started playing the game. I would ace tests purely based on playing the missions on this game. MOH is one of the greatest games I’ve ever played and it means a lot to my childhood memories
I remember getting this from my parents when I was younger and wanting to show my grandfather who was a Vietnam Veteran this for the very first time. He said it was the most realistic depiction of war he’s ever seen in a game up to that time. He bought his own copy of it and said it helped him cope with his service. I’ll miss him dearly. I love you Grandpap Manzini!
First FPS game I ever played, back in the ancient days of the PS2. And then I played it again years later on PS3, downloaded it from the online store, just for the nostalgia. An absolute classic.
My dad started playing this game when was younger and i remember when i was 7 years old playing this game with him and telling how to play it ahhh..... i still having the same ps2..., nostalgic *(sorry for the grammar, i dont speak english)* i cant describe how much this game means to me
SNIPEYOUNOOBS M that meand the old games sucked so much during the days when it was released? Lol that's fucked up. I bet you kids would always hate infinite warfare even by 2026 you kids would hate it. It's just too hard
I love the music and I love that first line before the action revs up at the beginning: 'And when he gets to Heaven, To Saint Peter he will tell: One more Soldier reporting, Sir-- I've served my time in Hell.' Such a powerful game. Back when games delivering a message and giving you real feelings was a far newer concept than it is now. Love it.
They don't make them like this anymore. Quite possibly one of the best games ever made. So many great memories and countless hours sunk in. Damn, wish I could go back in time!!
The simplicity. No micro transactions. No p2w guns. Just the story of the bloodiest war in history told right. This game brings back so many memories. I remember hoppin on this when my dad went to sleep. Absolute masterpiece
Man i remember playing this as a kid. It was my older brothers game and I didn't know how to save my game, so every weekend I'd make it as far as Arnhem Knights and have to do it all over again, until he showed my that you can SAVE AND LOAD your game. It was like the discovery of fire to me. But asides from that I really love this game, it was my childhood and really was a major player in my interest in history and attention to detail. I always like how there was so much variety in the enemies uniforms, equipment, and faces. It wasn't like in other games, how a certain enemy all look the same and then the next enemies all look the same, like in Medal of Honor Airborne. I also loved the soundtrack in this game. It seems like the older games all had the best and most memorable soundtracks, these days I can't really think of a game that has a consistent theme song that everyone knows.
i remember i spent 2-3 hours running around in first stage cause i didnt know what to do there LOL until i found a thompson gun but still couldnt see whats the objective.
Speed Flexie I just can't forget this moment when I had no idea what to do on a first level and my dad said : shot the bunker!!! me : dad, this won't work, Im not a tank... (Dad takes controler and starts shoting at machine guns in bunkers.) I could not belive that actualy worked XD.
This game was pretty amazing for its day, I spent countless hours playing the campaign over and over again and just having a blast, I always loved the funny Easter eggs and dialog they hid in the game
My love for FPS started with this game. I have to say it also started my interest in WW2 history. It may not look great by today’s standards but to anyone who wants to play a great WW2 shooter try this game.
Posting this on the 75th anniversary of d-day, we are able to live the life we do now because of these guys sacrifice , I remember playing the 1st time I played the level of the landings and the heart racing , panic inducing feel of it and people like my grandfather did it for real, we have no idea of the price of our liberty.
I still have a copy of this game for my ps2 that used to play in the 2000's, loved it! I tried to play it again recently and i started to get motion sickness/dizziness, guess im getting old
sir, i need medal of honor frontline game zip folder, if you have this game folder please give me your game copy by google drive, i tried to find this game but did not found any where.
I love how creative and visually interesting the main menus of the Medal of Honor games are. I don't think any other series had such cool main menu screens. The soundtrack too is unforgettable.
As a child playing this on the first Xbox, I was a master of this game. I replayed it over and over so many times! It’s so humbling knowing that back then, we were experiencing awesome gameplay and graphics a new system that was out of this world. I misss those times
I could literally cry watching this gameplay.....this was my very first shooting game ever! My uncle who passed away from cancer bought me this game when I was 11 years old, I played this game non stop on my moms tv....I look back at it now, and it's almost crazy to me that I'm about to be 32 years old with a 6 year old of my own......wow this game is literally a piece of my heart forever.....
Agreed, the developers would in turn gain profit from it as well as remastering it as well as doing the same to the later future consoles also, though I would like that they give you the option of changing between remaster and original graphics if possible.
The memories.. Back when I was 8 or 9 and played this game all day and night, this game and Socom made me love shooting games. At 23 now, just makes me wonder where'd the time go? 😭😭
Still to this day Frontline remains my favorite WWII shooter, the OST lives in my head rent free. I remember this game and Rising Sun being two of my favorites on my Dad’s old PS2 back in the day.
I feel your loss,i lost my mom one year ago (22/1/19) I remember whe she was saying "close your ps2 for dinner or if I have played many hours so she gonna close it by herself" I wish to return on my childhood days :'(
The music in this game was absolutely amazing. Every level had it's own memorable score. It wasn't just background music. It all tied in perfectly with whatever tone and theme of the level.
Just found this game, 20 years later! I’ve been looking for this my entire life. My step brother and I used to play it and he died years later. It’s weird because Call of Duty 2 has something similar, buts it’s not the same. This is def it!
The greatest WW2 intro and campaign mission in video game history. The music, the Eisenhower speech, voice acting, sound effects, the immersion. I’ll never forget playing this as a kid.
I remember borrowing this from a friend that kinda had an obsession or at least a fascination with war. Low key blew my mind. It was more unique and real than basically any other game I personally remember playing at the time. Great game!
I was watching a video about world war 2 and it reminded me of this game and so many memories I had, shooting the captains helmet off and such. God I love this game
My dad got me this game for my 15th Birthday (June 7th, 1987 is my B-Day) and it was very shortly after this game was released. I was SO captivated by this. I felt like I was playing Saving Private Ryan at the time! My dad always got me the coolest games...
I remember the first playing this game when I was like 9/10 and I remember the one dude who ran behind the boat gets blown up and his body went flying and I went up and down the beaches and the bodies were just laying everywhere...I remember crying my eyes out while eating a bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream at like 8pm lol memories...this game was amazing.
I remember the 3rd mission with the 101st airborne. I remember when I got to the end I didn't know I had to get in the box so I just kept walking around trying to figure out what I missed or something. Lol I was so frustrated.
in 2003 I traveled to London. I found the game on offer and bought it immediately. unbelievable after about 15 years to see it again. awakens old memories in me. Thanks for the video
Hope you'll try doing the "stealth" missions in a stealthy way. I recently watched another walkthrough and the guy just didn't bother: he immediately started rampaging his way across and murdered everyone all guns blazing.
i remember when i was 7 years old sitting next to my father watching him playing this first beach part... the tension and silence mixed with a sense of teamwork between us and the game consume us for hours and hours... everything in this game is special: soundtrack, hud, all the menus... i just cannot explain what it means to me.
Man this game looks amazing. So immersive. I'm impressed by the amount of detail in everything. The soldiers even when idle look like they are panting from running around. Enemy soldiers try getting back up when shot down. You can catch them off-guard and they raise their hands to surrender. The waves splashing around and dust flying everywhere sells the setting too.
Man these old MofH games really makes me feel nostalgic... Hey, are you going to do a full walkthrough of Medal of Honor: Rising Sun? I only found one video on your channel so if I somehow missed the rest, please let me know :)
AFGuidesHD all I used to do in this game was not use any guns and just go through the game only backhanding the infantry and submariners with a pistol lmao damn it was fun
I'm watching this today, as It's exactly six months since my father died, at only 46 years old. I remember we used to play this together all the time when I was little. I'm sure he played through this entire game at least 15 times. I also remember we used to play turns, since the game didn't support splitscreen. We played on the hardest difficulty, and whenever one of us died we switched until we had completed the mission.
seeing "D-Day" really took me back. i remember playing this game several times over and absolutely LOVING the first mission every time, lil 9 year old me was so fascinated :')
Great game. Why do shit games that are only 5 years old a remake, but old masterpieces like thisdont? It wasnt a regular shooter, it was a cool spy game basically. Behind enemy lines and shit. Id pay lots of money to get this with modern graphics. Like the Halo remake. Just a graphic touch up.
