I live in Washington but I’ve gotten gas in oregon plenty of times. I always start doing it myself and an attendant comes over and stops me. One guy even said it was illegal to fill it myself!!
All gas stations in Texas are self-serve and we would be able to help you there's a button on the pump it's either called a help button or assistants buttons and a cashier will come out and help you pump no need to worry that that's being taken away from you your good I pray for healings for you🙏🏻
I seriously had no idea this was a thing - I have never been to a gas station that told me I could not pump my own gas. Then again, I have never been to the state in question.
I'm a wildland firefighter and just had a hate crime committed against me in oregon. Then the local cops tased me until I went into cardiac Arrest -COMANCHE NATION

😂..... I've never heard of this in my life, you can't pump your own gas? Here in Texas they give you a free silencer with a full tank of gas for your automatic weapon
I've pumped my gas for 47 yrs and worked in a full service gas station The only problem is folks hop out with a cigarette and want to pump gas or look over the shoulder of the attendance I've bin hit a couple of times pumping someone's gas
I understand the need to help the elderly excetera but that's why gas pump have a help button or assistance buttons then the cashier will come out and help you or at least that's the way it is an Texas we haven't pumped our own gas since the 50s refresher course usually you'll prepay the cashier or you have the option of paying at the pump paying at the pump is pretty simple follow directions after you paid step one undo your gas tank cap Step 2 pick the grade of gas you would like pay attention to cost after pushing the button to select the grade you want start pumping it will automatically stop pumping gas when you reach the amount you paid for bonus if you're pumping a lot of gas there's a little lever you can hook to make the pump lever continuously flowing with your hands being free you're welcome😁
I've lived in a "pump your own" state since 1976. On a trip to NJ in the 1980's I got out to fill the tank and was attacked by attendants. Thought they were going to kill me.
You live an odd paranoid life if you think station attendants there to provide you a service are going to attack you! 🤣 You're probably too young to remember when "Service" is what you got from a Service Station! Now we work for them....
If a car jacker ever tries steal my car hel probably get angry it's a 5 speed ranger. So far I've been safe. Parked it in the hood a homeless guy washed it for me. Gave him 5 bucks lol.
Those people are mental health.. They would be fine with giving the gas station a copy of their car keys just in case when they pull up. 😅😂 They would willingly give big bro info😮😂😅 They would allow themselves to be kept safe, even tho they are neagon (walk dead)😂😅
It’s not cheaper they just don’t pay someone to do it. It’s better for them. I’ve been pumping my own for 20 years in Arizona but I used to live in New Jersey where they had to do it. Sometimes you have to wait. I don’t like that. I’m glad I can pump my own.
I've seen a video showing a person pumping his own gas, smoking a cigarette. Yes, everything went up in flames. There are too many stupid people out there.
A lit cigarette wont ignite gas, the ember isn't hot enough for autoignition. Unless your talking about sparking a lighter which is different. You're more likely to get ignition off a static discharge spark then you are a lit cigarette. That aside self service is standard practice in most states, its a non-issue.
I'm in Arizona and I want some FULL SERVICE gas stations!!! I haven't seen one here in at least 25 years! 😮 The pumps are now a target area for criminals to rob you, steal your vehicle, and trafficking. It's not safe to go anywhere as a woman where you have to stand about. Smh
Oh darlin, we're the one's who should be shaking our head at you. If you can't pump your own gas, you don't deserve to be on the road. Your state is not a justification.
I always got a kick about living in a pump your own state, then driving though Oregon and paying less per gallon to have it done for me. Always loved Oregon for that. Sad to see more and more people sent to the unemployment lines so gas companies can bump their profit margins even higher. Now you're paying more for less, all while taking food off a minimum workers dinner table. Kinda hard to feel proud about that in my opinion,
Live in Oregon thru the 70's and half the 80's I traveled a lot up and down the west cost, I started pumping Gas as a summer job back in the 60's, And every time I'd come back thru Oregon, I'd stop for Gas and someone would has to tell me NOT to pump my own Gas in Oregon⛽. At-lease now they are on the same page as the rest of the country. ⛽🚚🌞 I think...!?
SERIOUSLY ⁉️ Illinois resident’s have been pumping their own gas for as long as I can remember I didn’t know that some or one state still have attendant’s who still pump gas for customer’s ‼️ if a attendant is busy pumping gas for someone else and they don’t have many attendant’s out there doing that and you have to wait until all the car’s before you have had their gas pumped it’s faster to just get out of your car and pump it yourself. winter time isn’t much fun pumping your own gas but it’s winter not much of anything like that is very much fun unless your sledding or skiing or activities like that ‼️ Lol
