Media BLAMES Nerdrotic For Gladiator 2 HATE 

Gladiator was a stand alone movie which doesn't need a sequel. This just shows how creativity bankrupt Hollywood is.

A major reason why Gladiator worked was because as of the first second Maximus oozed respect. You see someone who is respected yet humble. You care for him even though he is a general. And then all this injustice that is done to him. You really stand by him. I'm convinced that this movie will lack this kind of emotion that it brings to the audience.

Denzel Washington is a great actor. But he doesn't exactly fit into the roman era. Talk about disastrous miscasting.

Saying Ridley Scott deserves another chance after Prometheus, Covenant and Napoleon is like saying Brandon deserves another 4 years in the White House.

I hit dislike as soon as the rap music came on didn't even see nerdrotic response before then, the first movie trailer for gladiator 1 used hans zimmer score, one of the best film score composers and my favorite. I'm big on film scores and trailer music this trailer was crap. If you guys want to learn more about film music and how important it is for trailers and movies recommend the hans zimmer documentary whoever made this trailer is not skilled in making trailers at all , and revealed the whole movie even showing the bad guy get killed at the end, and the outcome of the rhino battle. Also hans zimmer is not returning to compose this film which says a lot in itself. Hans Zimmer recent master piece was for dune 2 , he composes for good movies and was actually a dune fan. Just with that I'm betting hans zimmer doesn't like this movie and declined to do the music.

Also WTF is that whenever there is a black character in anything, hip hop is the first thing that comes to their minds? If they'd played some sort of ethereal world music, it would confuse and turn away the black audience?

What you'd expect from the score of a movie taking place in Rome: beautiful orchestral score with an operatic voice belting in Latin like it's a Souls game or something. What we get: modern rap cuz there's a black dude in it. Black people like rap music right? Let's put a rap track over it. It's AC Shadows all over again... and we get called racists for pointing it out.

A movie with a perfect ending is getting a sequel? This is the most numpty brained move in existence.

How TF do you make a sequel for The Gladiator?? It had the epic beginning war, the betrayal and great revenge plot, the engaging "slave standing up against the emperor" angle was great, and it had the most satisfying (the feels!) ending ever. It was a great "One-and-done" year 2000 movie. WHY TF DID RIDLEY SCOTT even consider making sequel for this?? IT WAS ALREADY PERFECT, it didn't NEED a sequel SMH

What’s funny is I watched Gary and a bunch of the guys react to the trailer. They were all positive. All all of them said they were gonna go see the movie. The only thing they didn’t like was the music choice.

one major upside, this movie is so detached from the original, for the aesthetic, to the music, and to the character design, that we can literally count this as a D rated movie that just happened to have the name Gladiator, kinda like Jarhead 2

It's a completely unnecessary sequel made by someone set on destroying his earlier work, the actor playing the main character looks as exciting as vanilla ice cream and the cRap music is completely out of place.

My issue with Denzel is the accent. Sure, these people didn't have English accents, but it really stands out.

I feel consumers just want something new. They are bored of sequels and remakes. This was a sequel nobody wanted, expected, or asked for to a movie that didn't need one. Hollywood needs to go back to original writing and they positive reviews they want will come back.

im gonna skip it, what made the og movie great was it followed the career of one guy, im sure this is the typical modern crap with no main character but several with a little story for each of them and they come together in the end in a stupid way. this is a sequel no one really wanted.
