Let's admit Shekhar Gupta has brains.

So Shekhar got visibly and strongly admonished by Abhinandan at 28:35 which was correct to my opinion. But only a very well read and smart journalist like Shekhar can give it back with such grace, wit and aplomb at 43:18 45 minutes spent well for a viewer.

interesting friction between two people i respect very much SG and Anandhan , SG with classic master class on facts over emotions . Anandhan with moral high ground and fire works .

I do admire and follow Shekhar Gupta, but this time he totally and rightly succumbed to completely logical idea which this debate was called for. Sekri 1(won) : Gupta 0(Null). Abhinandan is courageous, experience of Shekhar doesn't allow him to experiment which should be the character of media in today's sold out industry...

Shekhar had all the right points.

Shekhar was agitated at times, but didn't lose his cool. All the panelists were great in the way they put forth their points. P.S. It was cool to see Abhinandan feel threatened by Shekhar.

Abhinandan is the moderator..who wants to debate on "calling out our own - is it good or bad" and then when he doesnt allow shekhar to talk, he says I am not Arnab'.. is he fit for being a moderator, who should be neutral????

We the Youth of India along with some domain expert people need to gather and form India's leading political party and fights election with an economic development-based manifesto and fight elections against the ruling party.

Why is Shekhar Gupta behaving like such a boor? He's been on a high ever since j&k.

Guyz.............SG: was trying to make a point on GAFA sponsoring a lot of media events; at the same time he was trying to have a dig at NL with the same stone. AS: knew where SG is going so tried to cut him short, (rivalry at its best). RJ: as usual is a soft spoken rightest brahmin-like, so would not go far to annoy anyone, but would make a self-serving point. SN: was most objective and to the point, although delivery was not upto mark; Finally SV: made the most sense, we need more 'defector's' like him to correct the course of Indian Godhi media. But greed has to play in full and get stretched until then journalism will, regretably, ride piggy back on corporate money and interests . An ex-journalist.

Self importance in pointless roles of media representatives - especially in the indian-english area makes these people utterly insignificant. Gupta praises people in Murdoch's employment as those who do extensive research - there he is right. Indian media is full of people who work at a very superficial level. They write using templates and create very boring, insipid copy - and the main reason is that english just does not sit pretty on our faces. On the other hand the national language media imitate the english language media's every move... so that renders them even less important... and then i heard one of these guys say Radia...and switched off. These people are corrupt in addition to being inefficient and ineffective.
