A very encouraging point was made by Prof. Mustafa that many secular, progressive and liberal Hindus are dissatisfied with the verdict than Muslims, who were in some sense,the direct parties to the case. Perhaps, the central reason for this is that each of those secular and progressive persons reading the judgment feel that each and every principal of law which has been invoked has been back-stabbed with faith.

Atleast to British law student like me, the Indian Supreme court judgement on such an importat issue is completely devoid of reasoning.

Why did it take a historical judgement to get Karan to do an interview? Mr. Thapar please be more regular. Some of us actually doggedly wait for these uploads. P.s. loved it!

Why would Hindus go out of way and pray in a mosque? This is not a debate, its a monologue from one side. It would have been better discussion if we had a representative from other side as well.

Just the way Karan is in control and knows what he is talking about is just inspiring.

Oh what a gem of an interview! I watch Faizaan bhai's channel so I know how knowledgeable he is, but had not realised how deep he had gone into this case. And Karan ... what a wonderful journalist. He has made himself so aware of the the entire issue that he can ask the most erudite and pertinent questions of his distinguished guest. Wah maja aa gaya...and certainly whether they say it or not, I definitely know now this was a poor judgement by a compromised court

Judgement of Sabarimala is equally wrong...Temples are not tourist places, you visit it because you have faith in it. There is reason why Women are not allowed. It has nothing to do with discrimination against women. There are temples where men are not allowed. No one filed case against them. Our judicial system is going somewhere...

There is no evidence of a temple under Babri Masjid. It was a Buddhist site between 4th to 9th century which was later abandoned. A Muslim settlement came up in around 11th-12th century and built a small mosque on that abandoned site, and a bigger mosque was built by Babur in 1528. Talking about evidence, no Sanskrit text composed before the 16th century “lauded Ayodhya explicitly as the birthplace of Lord Rama, not even Valmiki’s Ramayana attributed its sanctity as a pilgrimage centre”.a Even Tulsidas' Ramcharitmanas, completed during Akbar’s reign in 1570, does not mention anything about a “Ram Janmasthan”. Tulsidas also never wrote about any desecration of a temple at Ayodhya. Neither Hiuen Tsang, the Chinese traveller who visited Ayodhya in the earlier half of the 7th century, nor Alberuni’s Kitab-e-Hind, compiled in the 11th century, make any reference to the town being celebrated as the birthplace of Lord Ram. Mir Baqi also didn't write anything about destroying a temple before building the mosque. Historians independently reported to the govt in 1991 that their study showed neither the existence of a temple on the site of the Babri Masjid nor of the destruction of any other structure there prior to the construction of the mosque. In 1993, archaeologist D. Mandal rubbished the claims of a section of archaeologists of the discovery of pillar bases which they said were the support of the stone pillars of a temple destroyed earlier. Excellent discussion on the verdict of SC in the matter of Babri mosque. First the statues put in the mosque is called as illegal and than the demolition of mosque is also called as illegal by SC. There were no evidences found to prove that mosque was built by demolition of temple. However the mosque was demolished and after that the disputed land was given to build Ram temple. For the mosque , the land was allotted in Ayodhya itself. Ram temple is now already build and completed in January, 2024. However there was not put even a foundation stone for the mosque. Is the verdict of SC proper ? Is the verdict of SC seems legal ? What were the solid ground for SC to give verdict in favor of Ram temple ? Was Ram took birth on that particular place ? Mosque was built there in fact and it was standing there before it demolished and it was not temple that all know it including people of India, world, Govt, and judiciary also. These questions have no answers. However Muslims of India declared that they will accept the verdict of SC and they accepted it because they have trust on Indian judiciary and SC. Now it is for the citizens of our country who are believing in democracy and secular concept of nation. If majority citizens wishing to make India a Hindu Rastra , they can make it certainly.

I like Faizan Mustafa's opinion more than the Supreme Court's decision although both have the same outcome.The fact that the Supreme Court did not want to do even that indicates towards some irregularities.
