Billy J I've just always smoked it. But Id like to try the oil and see if I can avoid the buzz would be nice. It works on my arthritis like a charm. It's always seemed pretty criminal to me to not have it available for people suffering.
Emily Richardson Yes i agree its criminal, thanks for replying, its just for my nana she gets opiates from the doctor but they dont help as much as smoking a small joint. Also the opiates from the doc are really bad for your mental and physical health so im going to get her some weed but i was wondering the best method of consuming for this purpose. I will look into it more but i know smoking it will help
Billy J the cannabis would help her get off the opiates too! They have even admitted on the news now it helps with opiate withdrawals and coming off of them.
I have had chronic osteoarthritis for many years which is only getting worse as I get older (67). I used the doctor prescribed codeine for over a decade but did not like the side effects. I was able to get off the opioids by using cannabis. It took some experimentation to get the dosage right, but well worth it. I mostly use edibles and tinctures which I make myself which is a lot cheaper than buying them at a cannabis store. While CBD is pushed a lot online, I find that THC works well for me. I am very functional during the day and later in the evening I can chill out watching tv, and take some more cannabis for a restful sleep when I go to bed. I wake up refreshed and no hangover effect. If I have a lot of pain I have found that if I take more and the effects are as powerful as morphine without the side effects.
@@JaimeGarcia-sg9xj Why not just give it a go and try it. If you don't like it you can stop. It has changed my life for the better and I can't speak highly enough about this plant.
@@silverfullbuster9177 It allowed my mind to slow down after 40 years of my emotions running wild which in turn changed my whole outlook on life. I am now on the most amazing spiritual journey based on how this plant has made me feel. Hope this helps a little.
Medical cannabis is also defined as cannabis used for *any* medical condition, that cannabis can help with. Not many doctors will prescribe mmj. Another way that cannabis can be administered is topically, in the form of massage oils, creams, lotions, poultices, etc. ie applied to the skin for pain relief, like you might do for arthritis.
"how safe is medical marijuana?" "Uh we're gonna have to do more research on that" YEAH because you can't find anything seriously wrong with this plant, just admit it already it helps with so much!! legalize it and help out your people
Jazz Daignault Exactly, all research here has been skewed to ONLY look into the negative and harmful effects. When the research is close to saying that so far there's no negative effects on an adult brain then their research material ie cannabis is withdrawn.....hence not finishing the research and being back to square one! LIKE IF YOU ARE PRO MEDICATING WITH THIS PLANT!
Only a couple of weeks to go before legal in Canada. I plan on growing my four plants to make a CBD salve for pain. Sorry hippies, no THC in my weed. Lol. Isn’t Canada great. Free healthcare and now weed. 😃
@@helenjoy6316 Yeah I used to believe it when they said this, but then after so many years, I realized they don't really want to do more studies or they would have by now. They have no problems studying the biologics and other drugs and pushing them on us.
Raphael Mechoulam the Grandfather of Cannabis has been doing research for decades. Glad to see the rest of the world catching up. If you want hard science he is the name you should be looking up :)
I stopped smoking weed for 6 months during my acl recovery. Here I am going to be 1 year post op and started smoking weed again just to flush out all the inflammation, swelling and lubricate the knee joints. I'm so close to return to my sport and feel like my normal self. Stopped taking ibuprofen as I was told by my doctor it slows down the healing process!
I take three drops of oil twice a day for arthritis , also had skin cancer. Mine is CBD with 0.5 THC. I get very bad anxiety with THC if I take more than this . It's very potent .
Make oil extract, isopropyl or other. Then apply to feet and hands, keep spritzing/ sray with small amount of water until it is all spread and absorbed. Try it once and wait until you feel the difference. You will start to get feeling back where you didn't know it was missing.
I love that he sounds so knowledgeable until you actually get to the safety part of it and then hes just not so sure. We need more study. We've had way to much time to study people need this medication now and you want to study for another 20 years and they really the only thing you want to do is to come up with a synthetic version of this that you can make money ...then it will be all good Hands in our pockets
The reality is because of its legal statust hasn’t been studied enough. Well I don’t disagree with the one commentor saying it’s safer than SSRIs, it has shown it has a negative capabilities Invite polar depression and schizophrenia
When you work as a healthcare professional, many elderly are prescribed percocets, tylenol #3, hydromorphone, ativan, quietapine, risperidone to manage pain and aggressive behaviors with deadly and serious side effects. The crazy thing is that when you mention cannabis people look at you strangely and say there are a lot of side effects. The ignorance of the public regarding Cannabis is astounding. I guess its more profitable for the Pharmaceutical companies to diagnose people with various conditions and give people them different pills than it is to use a natural plant that has not killed anybody nor is dangerous to taper or discontinue like hydromorphone, ativan, etc.
I am 54 years old. I had arthritis from age 13. The doctors said it was brought on by a bout of flu and my immune system started attacking my hip joint. I had pain and aches on and off for 40 years. Ibuprofen was part of my diet. About 4 years ago I stopped eating meat and dairy products and all my pain went away. Now no drugs. Just started a CBD trial to see if I can regain flexibility.
Incorrect. Hemp is NOT marijuana, but of the same family of plants. Hemp is legal, marijuana is still not legal in.some states. Hemp is high in CBD and low in THC. Marijuana is high in THC and low in CBD. This man is confused.
I take nabilone/cesamet for complex ptsd. I wish I didn't need anything yet the nightmares and insomnia caused by military and other traumatic experiences have often driven me to the edge of...insanity? It has helped but has not eliminated the main issues. They have been reduced in occurrence and are somewhat less intense, yet it's as if other horrors have been given room to come to the surface. Reality to me is my subconscious is having hallucinations when I'm conscious(?)
Just a scientific or technical chemistry question... Since there are natural and synthetic variations, why aren't they referred to as "cannabinoids" and "cannanbinates," the same way there are "opioids" and "opiates?"
Does anyone know which is the best brand cbd oil to get ?.....I'm asking because my mom has arthritis and I'm trying to get her off of the meds that her doc prescribed to her , i don't want it to get to the point that the pills don't work anymore and her doc prescribe something stronger for her to take which could possibly give her side effects and if that happens i know they might prescribe other pills ontop of the arthritis pill to counter the side effects that the higher strength pill will give her
we can't legalize marijuana for medical purposes because we fear it has side effects, till now we haven't found any yet, but we hope find them in the future
They wanted me on havy pills, get shots every second week, I cant move alot so much pain. When I eat edibals life goes from worsh to normal.. smoke just is temporary help. Edibals is way better
Maybe the neuron-modulating lipophilic Nature of plant cannabinoids in medical cannabis allow better pain management when humans ingest them like supplemental cannabinoids... multiple terpenoid profiles target greater cannabinoid receptor capacity for better pain management control.. Certain entourage compounds have more buffering effect on pain receptors
I have TERRIBLE arthritis. I wish that there was a strain that did not make me paranoid after I smoke it. I get so anxious and my heart beats fast. SMH
These are things the public has known for years. Groundbreaking work, folks! Want an actual new and useful tip, pain sufferers? Look into strains that contain CBG and THCV. This will be all they're talking about in a couple of years. "Bruce Banner" is a good, commonly available strain.
Day m8 great video man!My mother is suffering from arthritis & is taking methotrexate for it but she hates the side effects that it gives her and has decided to try weed as a last resort. So today I rolled her a joint to try but she is worried about how many puffs she should take on the joint to start off?She is abit nervous about how she may feel and freak out!pls help cheers.
+Yesenia Sanchez I'm using medical weed for my rheumatoid arthritis. It's really helping me sleep and control pain. You have to experiment with strains and how you take it. I usually vape dry herb in a G Pen Pro.
Master kaos . I have successfully treated my grandad with Rick Simpson oil. He was on level 15 methotrexate. He's been off it for two weeks and absolutely zero pain. He was in a wheel chair on occasions and now can rotate all joints 360 degrees.
Courtney Letica Wow that's so awesome to hear that you're grandad is living now without so much pain and side effects of Meds I'm so happy for you guys I hope my mother can eventually start using proper oil and get some relief from her agony. The government here in Australia Melbourne Victoria just passed the legalisation of medical weed just the other day so now I can feel a little more safer about growing her top grade CBD & thc without getting into too much trouble if I get caught or she will have to get it legally threw a doctor. She still has not had enough to tell if it's working! She tried a small joint but that was not enough to do anything and gave up on it.Im going to make some oil, bubble hash, butter, from 3 different strains and see what works for her now that it's legal medically.Cheers and all the best helping your grandad Peace man.:)🌳
Master kaos I think the oil would be a great idea for your mum! Med Gom is a nice medical strain that's high CBD :) I'm a fellow Aussie and I'm about to start growing my own to treat my pain too! Good luck, if you can give your mum some good quality stuff then I'm sure she'll experience immense relief! You're a good son 😌
My best friend also had this problem and after using a lot of allopathic medicines do not get rid of this problem. After using Ayurvedic medicine from Planet Ayurveda she got rid of joint pain and swelling
moncsi325 it's never going to cure you, but used carefully it could help you manage or lower your pain. if you buy from a responsible company then there are so many essential oils and fats packed into that little dropper bottle. Try cooking with hemp oil from the supermarket, hemp cooked roast potatoes are yummy!
You lost my respect mentioning synthetic cannabis. You lost more respect by either not knowing or just not mentioning cannabis topical creams or balms which are amazing for arthritis sufferers.
+19radagast73 -- Thanks for your inquiry. While there is some anecdotal suggestion that medical cannabis can help reduce some of the symptoms of arthritis, we're not aware of any clinical evidence as yet to suggest that it can prevent flares, especially in SJIA. As you can imagine, there is a great deal of sensitivity around the idea of using medical cannabis to treat symptoms of childhood forms of arthritis such as SJIA, which may be a contributing factor in the lack of research on the topic. More broadly, the fact is that there are huge gaps in the data around medical cannabis and arthritis as a whole, including how it interacts with various forms of arthritis. The Arthritis Society is advocating strongly for additional research focus in this area, and funding research ourselves, to try and address these gaps and give patients and doctors the evidence-based guidance they need to make informed treatment decisions. Thank you so much for your response and info. Was wondering if you are familiar with Dr. William Courtney and his push to use cannabis as a food and supplement. His wife was afflicted with several autoimmune diseases and has apparently had great result with juicing the plant. He also says that juicing it takes the controversial argument out of the equation because there are no psycho active compounds with this method. I will leave a link to his site at bottom of this comment. Would be very interested in your opinion. Thanks again! www.cannabisinternational.org/
Yes, we're aware of Dr. Courtney's claims. He certainly speaks with great passion, and cites some extraordinary anecdotal experiences, however at this point there is no clinical evidence to support either the safety or efficacy of the consumption of raw cannabis as a treatment for arthritis or any other condition. If a researcher came forward with a scientifically meritorious research proposal to explore raw cannabis, we could consider it. Our greatest challenge is that we lack sufficient funding to conduct all of the research that has already been identified as a priority. We remain committed to supporting research that leads to better quality of life today, while working ultimately towards a cure. Hopefully with increased awareness of the need we can garner additional support to address this and a number of other unanswered questions.

My knee bent backwards while running and i needed surgery. I was on dilaudid for 3 years and i became a needle junkie and started using my perscriptions in needle form. Im on methadone now and am using it also for pain reiief but am coming down off the methadone and then i will have no form of pain relief anymore. I want to ask my methadone dr about getting on the weed program so i dont suffer from chronic nagging knee pain which was supposed to be fixed by surgery but only fixed the movement problem and not the knee pain. I think i need weed to help me.
The brand HyperNovacbd.com has an amazing broad spectrum tincture. I bought some for my grandma with arthritis really bad in her hands and fingers and she felt so much relief.
