We do this with many medicinal herbs…comfrey….calendula….plantain …in combo and separately…. same process …these all work so well… I love the fact that these can be foraged and utilized so efficiently as well
Really appreciate you making these videos.....Very helpful for those like myself who have trouble learning AND REMEMBERING these natural options for medicinals. Thank you
I will have to go on a search for poplar buds! But today, I'm still boiling Maple Syrup!! The sap started running again two days ago and I already have twenty gallons to process!! Best wishes, Jen!!
@@starlessmystery6429 It is truly the Nectar of the Gods! And full of anti-oxidants and vitamins & minerals, so it's even *REALLY* good *for* you!! Come on up to Canada! 😃
I love making different salves and Lip balms and a antibiotics salve. Amazing all the plants out in nature that can be used. Great video on how to make it.
Great info. So many modern medicines come from traditional sources. Big pharmaceutical companies still "explore" indigenous communities around the would seeking their local knowledge. Side not, a lot of sunflower oil comes from Ukraine- I predict a shortage in the next few years.
Hi, I live in the desert and we do not have these trees so unable to use fresh. I can purchase dry, will they work? Also, do most dry herbs and such work well to infuse oils to make salves? I can make them in the summer and let them sit in the shade outside, we get pretty hot but it would be a more gentile infusion. Thank you.
Great video. Got a question…can I use any poplar buds, like cottonwood or aspen? Don’t think we have balsam poplar here, if we do I don’t know which ones they are.
