Video production is seriously awesome!! Also, this is probably the most extensive video about residency program after graduating from Italy! Great work guys
Please make more detailed videos about USA and UK, and if possible do interviews with IMG students who graduated in Italy and have passed in competitive specialties. I appreciate your work and I looking forward to the next videos.
I went to an Irish medical school and matched into the U.S. Although it was expensive, it was so freaking worth it and I am extremely happy where I am now.
I'm really really happy for you! It's so nice to hear some good news from people in medical field. Everybody I know tells me I've made the worst decision in my life for pursuing medicine.
@@KK-tw8hbthats why you don’t always listen to others. You need to do your own research, weigh up the pros and cons in the present and 10-14 years from now, and be honest with yourself and see if you are happy with the pros and cons and to make the sacrifice for the better future and that should be enough to make a solid decision
Thanks for the great information. Amazing to see you carrying out your own medical studies and simultaneously doing so much to help others. You will be an excellent doctor.
First of all I appreciate all the work you have done for the IMAT and Medicine in Italy in depth! It is currently helping me to learn more and decide which university is right for me to study medicine. I’m a current UK resident and have little to no desire to study or live in this country anymore after 11 years now I do have to say that even when studying an English medicine program, 6 years is MORE THAN enough to learn Italian to a proficient and even to an academic level. My timeline for learning Italian is this: I say by the end of first year, you should have a “broken” and basic level of speaking and understanding Italian where you sometimes use English to help you get your point across more clearly. By the end of second year, you should be at a level where you can easily interact with the locals, restaurants, going out etc. and have minimal issues understanding the language (barring different dialects and local phrasing etc) and speaking a lightly “broken” level of Italian where you don’t need the assistance of the English language to get you by 9/10 interactions. By the end of third year and onward you should be ~ 75-80% fluent in the language and no need for the use of English in any cases. From there onward you can improve your Italian to be at an academic level by end of your 6-year Medicine program I’m always flabbergasted when people who have lived in another country for more than a year fail to grasp the language even at a basic speaking and understanding level. It all comes down to the level of commitment and willingness you put into learning the language. In my opinion, the basic amount of respect to show to any country you live is to attempt and make the effort to learn their language Thank you once again for your great work!
Hey Serra! I am really looking forward to hearing about that IMG that went to US. What are the process, etc. and can't wait for the 2nd part of this video too! Thanks
Mam this is one of the most awaited topic for me...can you please make a detailed video of residency program in UK and italy for Non-EU student after completing MD(English) from italy itself!!??!!... please
When we continue the series we will, but basically you need to fly to the US and complete placements as an intern there during your time in medical school.
thank you very much for your awesome video, I would love to ask you 3 questions. 1.) Im a canadian student who is planning to go to english speaking medical school in Italy. If i graduate from italian medical school, can i do specialization training in Italy as non-eu citizen? 2.) I heard in spain, if you are non-eu citizen you can only do specialization training from international slot that only allocates 4% of the seat. Does Italy only give small slots for specialization training if you are non-eu citizen (even if you got your medical diploma from Italy)? 3.) If i decided to study in other EU country like romanian medical school, can I still do specialization training in Italy? (I heard that there is recognition of medical diploma amongst EU countries. But since im non-eu citizen, I was curious if my romanian medical diploma will be recognized in Italy.) That was a long post but thank you very much for taking the time to go over it. I loved your video and I would love to recommend it to anyone who might be in similar situation as me. 👍
Helloooo! Thank you so much for the video! As you're Irish :) Could you actually tell more about the process of getting residency in Ireland after graduating in Italy? I am Polish and actually weighing my options now between applying to med school in Ireland and Italy trying to take into consideration possible future residency options
@@cianmckenna7357 finishing this year a 3 yr Biomed Engineering degree and will be doing Graduate Medicine in a University in Ireland (if he gets his degree at 2.1), having taken and got sufficient score in the v tough 5.5 hour Gamsat exam, last September.
Thank you so much for this content firstly! I was wondering if you knew about applying to residency in France after graduating IMS in Italy? Thank you!
Hi,great video, but I have a question doesnt america give scholarships for whom wanna migrate there with italian med degree?or you have to pay for studying there? My other question is that can you work as a family doctor in america if you go there with italian med degree?
After you have a medical degree, you apply for training in the same way you apply as a job. You need to complete exams, rotations, interviews etc. to try and get a job. If you pass everything you can work as a doctor there and do more training which is paid.
I am an Italian national & I have done MBBS degree from Pakistan. I want to return to Italy & work as a general practitioner. Do I have to clear any exam for that? Kidly guide.
Madam please tell me,,for international students who have completed mbbs in italy,,, for international students, who wants to pass ,the doctor license exam, in ,Italy after graduation from university young doctors to pass a licensing exam (so-called "Esame di Stato"),, for international students this. License exam,,Esame di Stato,,,Is this license exam is in English language or only in italy language,,,
You need to get a C1 PLIDA Italian certificate, and then make sure that your degree has equivalency. I think contacting your local Italian consulate would be a good start!

Hi I’m looking for admission for MBBS for my son. I was watching your channel regarding the MBBS examination system . I wanted to know if there are any universities across Italy wherein Oral examination during the course of mbbs can be substituted for written or MCQs for any student who has speech issues
Thank you for all information, you are really helpful! Is it possible to do a specialisation in English somewhere (excluding English -speaking countries)?
You need to have completed a minimum of 12 years of schooling, and have obtained a standard of education equivalent to Italy which is what the DoV is for. Depending on your country Alevels might be required. You should ask your local embassy of where you completed your schooling
Hello, thank you for this very informative video im wondering what course are you planning to go through? Are u staying I Italy :) I would love to know!
@@AcadIMAT You are a great help. My daughter is planning to apply at Sapienza this is why I am so inquisitive. I hope you continue making vlogs. More power.
