Takes me back last year when I humiliated both the French and Milanese in equal measure. I did leave Scotland alone and traded with them peacefully ^_^.
technically i was outmatched cause he had cannons, musketeers, several cavalry units, crossbowmen, conquistadors, and knights, as well as his army was on the high ground. that army was superior in technology, he was just ignorant about his strategy and placement of his troops, i had a mainly infantry army. but other than that his army was superior and outmatched me if he knew how to use them, i would have had a totally different approach, and different formation.
@THMTBT but sometimes it is fun to have the pope , and asking for crusades is very good, and if you get in war with the papal states as bizantium you can be a target of crusades
@07jaworski07 I think you're just doing it wrong. My armies are nearly 100% cavalry. My last battle was against the french as Spain. Very Hard, outnumbered 3:1. I used 4 units of Feudal Knights. 2 for frontal charge (2 deep line as per usual, to give the most contact area). 2 to hit the immediate flanks. Meanwhile, I had sent 3 units of Jinetes to flank around the rear and hit their spearmen and falling back archers + generals unit in the ass. I suffered 6 losses.
@THMTBT The Pope can be a hassle, but after dispatching a hit squad to the Vatican I managed to prevent any more pope nominations and then ploughed my way through the rest of Western Europe lol.
@roninmediaoutlet Oh... I thought it's kind of weird 'cause it always started when I launched my General's Bodyguard into the back of a unit of spearmen... or straight into it... Umh.
@animegeek240 Err... I'm not to much into multiplayer, maybe in Shogun 2(when i have time to play it anyway-_-)because of all the multiplayer customization options. I tried many factions already in the campaign:Holy Roman Empire (starting faction), Byzantines, Milan, even Turkey and some others in small campaigns, portugal is all about Aventuros and Portuguese Arquebusiers, which usually goes pretty well, anyway its no pro tactic, online I'd try other tactics and factions of course
Spain is a bitch early-game but still they have some viable tactics. Recruit Jinettes. Find infantry-only enemy army (prefferabley w/o ranged) - size doesnt matter. Throw spears, pussy away from them as they get close. Retreat Jinettes that are out of ammo. > you have lost the battle < Repeat next turn on the same army untill you win. TrollfaceJinette.jpg
@TheTF2replay lol, try out a new faction, if you ever start playing online learn how to use Venice. trust me if you know how to use venice you are invincible (well damn near invincible). that is how i got 741 online victories and 23 defeats. people have nicknamed me the "God of War". this game is what got me my professional gaming title and im ranked 437 in the united states and the top 4000 in the world. if you wish to aspire for professional gaming title practice hard.
@animegeek240 Alright, alright *sends diplomat* I offer "ceasefire"... accept? Anyway taking out a faction in 1 turn is obviously impossible, you shouldn't take that so seriously... But in 20 turns is not that impossible. Specially in the case of Portugal and Spain when one surrounds the other, EVEN on H/H difficulty settings which i usually play AND whiteout cheats, I don't use them because they ruin the game, and i cant use them at all because of my keyboard... Well limit reac...
@TheTF2replay the typo's in the comment towards you are actually produced by youtube and the pocket notebook im currently on at the moment. If you faced me Online you would understand. plus your bragging was the first thing that set me off. the only way you could take out any faction within 10-20 turns is if you used the money cheat and the build cheat. I also considered you a "kid" as in a complete newb to medieval 2 total war. not a kid in real life. well i dont know if you are one or not. idc
Oh, and I watched your video... Outmatched? LOL. You had 10 - 15 units of very heavy infantry and cavalry versus a few DFK, arquebus', and DMC. Btw, what was the budget for that battle? 1,000,000 florins?
@TheTF2replay i've beaten beaten people wh are all cocky online kid, soain and portugal cannot beat Venice due to the Venetians having superior morale and troops. i know this for a fact. im a pro at medieval 2 total war. 741 online victories 23 defeaats.
@animegeek240 First of all, the only factions i was comparing were ONLY Spain (or "soain" like you said) and Portugal, i don't care about your Venetians. (Byzantines FTW) Second, claim to be a pro whatever, I don't care nor do I play online, remember me mentioning "taking out Spain in 1 turn"? (exaggerated actually...) I was talking about the Campaign game -_- Third, before calling the others "cocky", take a look at your comments, Mr. Pro. Forth, don't call me kid.
Yeah. I've routed entire full stack armies by simply using my cavalry to effectively take out the enemy's strongest units, usually from the back, and then scaring off the other units by advancing my whole army forward and running the routing troops through with my cavalry before they can regain their balls. My losses aren't as low but its still a really good ratio of men lost to men killed.
LOL. Really? I've wiped out Scotland AND Denmark within 20 turns before. Playing as Venice, you can also wiped out Hungary and Milan within 20 turns. If you're quick about it, you can play as France and wipe out England, Scotland, and Portugal within 20 turns. It's not very hard at all. Try it if you don't believe me. You just have to not care about being excommunicated and hope you don't get blindsided while having virtually no troops to defend with.
Portugal FTW, take out Spain in one turn, then later whit aventuros and Portuguese arqabusiers its just impossible to beat me... Spain and Portugal are very similar but i dont see advantages in Spain, Aventuros are superior to Tercio Pikeman and just about everything Spain has, Portugal has it to, like the conquistadors... Overall both excellent factions
Seem pretty cocky. Venice is not invincible. From a defensive perspective, England could annihilate any Venetian army (minus gunpowder). Spain can wipe the floor with Venice as well. It's a matter of tactics and how you play the game. To use an already heavily superior faction like Venice in multi-player and brag about your rank, wins and losses, doesn't say much. Try maintaining your 741:23 using the Moors, or some other crappy faction.
go to my channel and view my video on the front page. i was outmatched army wise and I still won. Point proven. If you know how to use Venice you are almost invincible. and i do play other factions besides Venice tyvm. nice try on ruinign my rep. and im not cocky its called pride in knowing that me and other people have fun playing this game.
