HI Daneli - as I commented to another viewer who is looking for the next one: it's on the list! I'm working on a book series of 5 books - the first two come out in Sept 2016 and then the next 3 come out Jan 2017...once I get those completed, I'll return to getting you all some more videos! Thanks for asking!

hey Cher. At First I thought QUE ?!?! I know how to draw a line, this is a Waste of time....until I actually sat down and just tried. Oh Boy ! First of all it slowed me down , and then I realized how sloppy my lines had been. Good beginnings good endings and lift your pen. Simply said but how essential to good drawing. It also calmed me down like nothing else has so far, because I don't concentrate on the result but on the pure Naked processen....Eyeopener ! thanks so much Cher

+patricia dirickx EXACTLY!! Things people don't think about or realize until they bring attention to the connection. Of course everyone knows how to do simple lines and shapes, but do they ever *pay attention* to what they are actually doing? YES! Simple lines and simple shapes can be VERY relaxing! YAY! YAY YAY! You got it!

Who teach u to Draw like that and do You prefer prisms color or cheap color pencil
@CherTheFire

What you use doesn't matter as long as you are learning about what your tool can do. Inexpensive pencils can be great teachers, as can the more expensive pencils. Be a master of what you have. Personally, I like the prisma and I like Faber Castell, but I own more prisma pencils overall. I also have a ton of pencils from different places like Target, office supply stores and places like the drug store just to see what's available and what people might have access to. Use what you have and go from there :). I have had a few teachers, and have a lot of self-taught exploration with pens. Mostly what I teach you in the video comes from me and what I have observed with myself and with students.

I tried this exercise on 2 different types of paper. One is a regular copier paper (smooth), the other is sketchbook paper (a bit rough). On sketchbook, my lines ended up with dots. On copier paper, the dots disappeared. Does it mean I need the proper type of paper to draw, or I need to practice more on my line work? I was using Pigma Micron.

Pen and paper relationships are ALWAYS a factor in drawing. I use sketchbook paper as smoother bristol paper and move back and forth depending on availability and who/what I'm teaching. I do not recommend copy paper if you are moving to a drawing you want to keep because the paper is hard and tends to have a different absorption feel to it. I like Canson and Strathmore papers, but I've used inexpensive papers like the house brand at Hobby Lobby as well. I also look at brightness of papers, too. For beginners, I tend to introduce softer more creamy paper because white can appear to stark to the new observant eye. Also, Microns take some practice to learn how to use. Some beginners tend to push too hard and it wil shorten the life span of the nib as well as change how your lines look.

To hold the pen upright doesn't look very relaxing. What about using a pen that allows a more relaxing hand? F.e. A fountainpen?
@CherTheFire

YES! Absolutely! I have a friend who uses fountain pens exclusively for drawing!

I was out today and found your book Mandalas and more. I was so excited I bought it right away. I'm still trying to find the other one on Mandalas but have had no luck. I won't use Amazon. Hopefully I'll find it somewhere else. Do you have any ideas where I could look. Barnes and Nobles doesn't have it.

YAY for finding MM! The three books out right now are Artful Mandala (my first book,), Ancient Alchemy (the most popular one to date) and Mandalas and More (the one that inspires you to draw and color). When it comes to book stores, what most consumers do not realize is that ASKING for a book by TITLE/AUTHOR is SO important to the longevity of the book on the shelf. Purchases from the store help the book stay on the shelf. If you are a fan of Barnes and Noble and that is your preference for books, I HIGHLY encourage you to ask them to order it for you (which they can do and hopefully restock their shelves, too!). You can see my videos on the flip throughs to see each book here on my channel. Barnes and Noble DOES carry all my books, but sometimes the smaller stores carry less stock or have to choose which of the three they order each time. You can do the same with any independant book store - ask them to order it for you! Remember - they WANT your business!

HI Linda! My books have been in all kinds of places (I'm not sure of current inventory), online and in brick and mortar locations. Please look at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Hudson Books (airports), grocery stores (especially in the Midwest and Eastern USA), independent book stores, Powell's Book Store, Sams's Club, Walmart, Costco (limited quantity). They have also been in Canada, UK, and translated into Polish and Russian, I believe. Hope you find a copy!! If you don't you can contact me via my website cherthefire.com
