Helped two of my aunts painting this today.It took them six hours but they are so proud at the moment of their first paintings ever. Granny decided to hang their work on the living rooms wall. Jane you are changing lives with these videos. Thanks Jane. Thanks.

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I had watched it in the past, as I always do before painting, and today I painted it! I have to say it was a very Zen experience. Love watching your videos Jane I stared painting not long ago when I was diagnosed with cancer. The hospital that I was having my treatment The Christies cancer hospital UK . Have an art room and that and the fantastic teacher Pat made going through everything so much easier. So I know what you mean when you say art is healing and medatative.

Lovely Jane. I loved your inspiring words. I think when I paint mine, before I put the background in, I’ll spray the underbelly with some black spots using a toothbrush. Then clean up the background with the blues and Payne’s grey and white. Beautiful fish. The layers came out so great.
This is one of my favorite paintings of yours! I am anxious to try it myself. I like your idea of maybe doing two fish sort of swimming around one another. Great job!! 👍
Painting with Jane I completed this and it was a lot of fun. However I had a very difficult time getting my background just right. After about 3 do-overs I finally tried using my filbert flat and a light pressure. The matte medium was a big help during this part of the painting. Sometimes I want to create paintings that look more realistic. My version of this does not, unfortunately but I’m sure this skill comes with practice.
Just beautiful ...and relaxing! I watched with my headphones on which enhanced your background relaxing music and I almost fell asleep 😁 I will definitely try this one.

Im in the zone Jane...awesome painting and advice as well as tips! Whats funny is I have a hard time relaxing since surgery at night and literally was waking every hour until last week...I have been watching you and keeping my laptop on all night and your beautiful voice has been such a comfort...youre awesome sweet friend!!!!
