Thank you once again for the wonderful tutorial, so much learning! Yay!!! Additionally, I’d like to ask what COLOR CHECKER do you use, to get the correct WHITE BALANCE (Gray)..?? Any other recommendations for light checkers will be appreciated. Thank you Sir. Namaste.

The colour checker is x rite ColorChecker Passport. If you just want to set an accurate white balance the an alternative would be a simple piece of 18% grey card, this is much cheaper and can also be used to calibrate for exposure.

Yes that should be possible with the minimum of equipment. If you have no studio you can always do it outside with sunlight but on a cloudy day that will give you a controlled shadow. Thanks for watching.

the 216 white diffusion filter is a special orderitem on BH Photo -- is that always the case? And, should I dare ask, is there a less expensive alternative? 🙂 thx u btw excellent work sir.

A good commonly available alternative is drafting film as used for engineering, drawings, etc. I believe it’s available from Amazon. Thanks for watching.

Large format refers to film sizes the film or negative would be at least 5x 4 “ approximately 125 x 100 mm. A true, medium format is 60 x 45 mm, sometimes referred to as 2 1/4 square. Thank you for the question and thanks for watching.
