I really love how at first Rider was portrayed as a villain, but then as the Fate series progressed we got to see more of her and understand her difficult past, now I can't help but fall for her. Also, Within Temptation is an awesome choice and not just Mad World any song they do would perfectly suit Rider. 🐍🌼😁

You know, Medusa's the one who got me into Fate. A few years back I was doing a Soul Eater roleplay with someone who used her character for visual reference, and before long, I got curious and asked where she came from. The rest is history.
She and Artoria are both the reason why I got into Fate too. One day, while strolling through a book store (I think it was a geek store, it was full of otaku stuff), I caught glimpse of a Fate/Stay Night manga in one of the stands. And the cover of that volume showed both Artoria and Medusa, it INSTANTLY caught my attention! From there, I read a bit of the manga, I started doing searches online, watched the animes available, a whole lot of surfing and now... *here we are.* By the way, Bond 10 on FGO and aiming for that Bond 11, Medusa absolutely deserves it! 😁👍

i can't mention how much this song fits with medusa sooo well. fabulous amv one of my favs. when I first started fate I didn't like rider but as I progressed she became one of my most loved characters. my only regret is that they don't show her being a rider until the end of heavens feel. when she summons Pegasus.

So you like the Roman version of Medusa tale. Fate Medusa is mix between the older Greek version of her tale & the later one. Although it's inconsistent which parts at times. So no rape.

My theory on why Gorgon doesn't try and rip Ritsuka's throat out the second she gets summoned is that Chaldea's Gorgon is actually Ana, having earned a spot in in the throne with her last act of self-sacrifice at the end of Babylonia. She might not remember all of her previous experiences as Medusa Lily, but she doesn't have the Gorgon from that timeline's seething hatred.
The younger Medusa always makes me think of Zeal in Chrono Trigger. The adult version in black brings me back to the very first time I ever saw my wife at an open dungeon night fetish party in my late twenties. The glasses and jeans casual depiction at the end speaks volumes about how very true it is that the quiet bookish types are always such delightful freaks.
She really got the shaft in the first couple Fate/Stay Night series. But then in the Heaven's Feel movies she got that much deserved redemption and we saw the true extent of her power. Pretty awesome

medusa es una gran personaje de fate, aunque siento que fue muy poco desarollada en UBW. Pero fuera de eso en stay nigth y heaven's feel , especialmente en Heaven's Feel tuvo un gran desarollo. Senti una similitud con sakura.
Basically, after she and her sisters were banished to the shapeless isle, the gods kept sending heroes after them. Medusa killed them to protect her sisters, but she eventually went insane from the amount she killed. Her sisters fed themselves to her in her berserk state to save her.
In the Fate series she's been manifested from different facets of her life, which is each of those forms. Fate's version of events is that she consumed her sisters after being stranded on an island with them and became Gorgon. According to Wikipedia, the Gorgons were children of the two sea gods, which means in original context there was no life changing event, she was always the winged serpent woman with snakes for hair. A lot of stories have Perseus killing Medusa and using her head to turn titans to stone, but in one of the original texts (according to wiki) upon being beheaded a golden sword and winged horse sprung from her body. It seems like the only OG from Stay Night that gets a decent ammount of screentime and interaction is EMIYA. All others, even Saber Artoria and Cu Chulainn mostly don't appear or appear for a brief one off moment and that's that. _I wish they got better treatment, specially my girl Medusa._ :'(

Its kinda cute that we see her in her kid form in babylon and her adult self in stay night and heavens feel with her... noice assets and her fight against saber Alter. definitely one of the best fate fight scenes. Edit: anyone know the artist of the thumbnail?
