As a fan I am very happy he won, but if you look at the score, he definitely can do better. He should keep the momentum when he is ahead, in the third set especially. He could win in straight sets. Congratulations on his victory. All the best for this tournament.

@anup7604 Yes but the serve of Medvedev is what allowed to koepfer to take the third set. The most important factor is the service. All the sets Medvedev won were clear.

Medvedev forehands are getting better. Higher take back, racquet head high, trying to take the ball on the rise. He'd be more in attack mode, come hard court season.

I’m amazed/confused. How Medvedev doesn’t gain any muscle at all? Playing tennis, running around during practice everyday, how can some one not gaining any muscle at all?

First of all, it depends on your natural physics. Medvedev is not Wawrinka, who has a totally different body, i.E. smaller. And Tennis is not the sport to gain huge volumes of muscles, as they make you too heavy and a hindrance regarding your movement.

Me too am amazed at how Medvedev never managed to beef up a little bit. He's 28 now, and has never managed to gain half a pound of muscle, I think it's a matter of genes and so he probably never will. It's a shame for him because I believe that a little more natural physical strength could have helped him, especially in slams where they play three sets out of five.
