George should have just done this: "Connie, you can give Mary and the kids everything else in your will. Just leave me the Brisket recipe. It would be your legacy to this family." Granted, he didn't know she was going to outlive him but...
He could've easily put it as, wouldn't you want it to be passed down to your own grandchildren and their own children and so on and so forth as this family's cherished momento? One their very own MeeMaw came up with and left behind as an everlasting symbol of her love?
He only found out the recipe from Missy saying “Choo-Choo” While playing with his train, and while meemaw was telling Sheldon the recipe she was feeding him the brisket and saying “Choo-Choo”. So it must’ve been a recently unlocked memory.
@Satorueditssss correction, he only remembered that he knew the recipe when Missy going Choo-choo unlocked the memory of Meemaw plaything the Choo-choo game with him and telling him the recipe. It was always somewhere in his brain.
I'm the kind of person though, while I do enjoy Barbecue sauce and A1 steak sauce, and meat rub seasoning and stuff like that, I really do enjoy the natural flavors of meats as well. I feel like barbecue sauce sometimes over powers the meat flavor but sometimes it enhances it. I think it depends on the type of meat or the way it's cooked?
I would actually be devastated in this situation if I was George. My great grandmother, before she passed, made the most phenomenal red velvet cake that has always been my favorite. If she had never passed down the recipe to us I wouldn’t have my favorite way to remember her by.
@@ibenekholdt9362I agree but at some point u have to pass it down my grandma makes amazing fudge and I would love to know how to make it for a couple of reasons 1 being that he would always remind me of my grandma 2 because it’s great 3 so that when I have my own kids they can taste something that has been passed down through my family I just mentioned fudge because it’s one of the best things that my grandma makes there’s others like her chicken and noodles or rolls but I think family’s having special recipes passed down through families is a great thing it kind of binds the family together more than blood and even more special for adopted kids or son/daughter in laws it shows that they are family as well
Just curious Sheldon what if and I know the answer what about a Jewish Texan ? Wonder how much they can knock off of it? I’m not Jewish. I’m just wondering. I’m probably one of the very few people who have asked that question. Not that it’s a bad thing to be Jewish. I’m just wondering. My mother really wants this recipe. She really wants to try making it. She’s Scottish. They have their own version of it, believe it or not it’s not haggis either. She doesn’t like haggis she’s tried it many times and I have too? But I would really like to get the recipe myself. It looks delicious. And I’m also curious, does anyone know the recipe? Like the actual recipe?
@@youmustcreateachannegod I don’t think I’ve ever tried brisket I feel like it would taste good tho but hilariously he went out of his way to try and make the best damn brisket in Texas 😂
