I got my meepo v3 today and they included the 100 mm wheels on the board for free as they were exclaiming their apologies for the shipping delay. I really appreciate that. They also fixed the gap in between the board and the plastic casing which is helpful lots. The board has a new design that i had only seen on the meepo nls which is also awesome too. Btw, the remote also vibrates when you turn it on which reminds me everytime of how much bang for the buck i achieved when puchasing this product!😄
@@sagesends You can literally change it to mph. And according to the controller I've gone 37mph on a flat. I could hit 50 prob on a down hill but im to much of a pussy
What’s your recommendation for a first time owner long time Longboarder , and I’ve ridden 4 different types now. Longest range , most reliability, best price... is it really the meepo that making It out to the front of the pack ? True downhillers commuters board ???
@@waterlove2155 don't know if your still curious but its gonna be a hard find for that and yes meepo is kinda the way but that's only because hub motors are the only ones with real free spin (besides Direct drive which is in the middle between belts and hubs)for a downhill board buy it's hard to just throw a answer at that question what about the bio boards do you want to have to hit the throttle all the time with belts or cruise with hubs giving up comfort and wheels sizes/gearing but gaining about 15% batterylife just by using anything besides a 2000w motor
meepo price explained...I live in the EU. I purchased the v3. at 429 free shipping as advertised...there is then ,at check out, a 19 euro fee for import or export tax...then when I got my board it was held up at Zoll ( customs ). I paid an extra 80 euro at customs. this brings the total to 528 euro...now. this is just for the budget battery, for the performance battery. you will pay an extra 200 . bringing it up to 728....now..other higher priced boards are at , around this price...so you get what you pay for...I suggest the battery upgrade form the budget battery. because you will for sure want to upgrade it later . so it is only a budget board if you are happy with lower range and get lucky and not pay customs import in your country when it arrives. also, shipping takes about a month.
I don't pay customs. And if I wanted ER, I would just get NLS pro, which blows other $700 boards out of the water. The V3 is just a last mile, cheap but fast eskate
Had mine for a year now and it’s still the shit. Never fixed “the gap” and always ran over puddles n shit, never had a problem. The charging port had gotten wet and I thought it was toast. Nope still working. The only thing that has broken was my remote but that gave me the opportunity to get the new control which is freaking awesome! Im finally thinking about getting 100mm wheels. This board was the best investment ever. Blows “high quality” boards out of the water!

well you wouldn't get the virus from the board. virus's cannot survive outside of a host. You have to be within 6 feet of someone with coronavirus for the travel time to be short enough for it to survive.
The virus can survive for as long as 3 days on cardboard boxes and stuff. Most recommend to leave the box outside for atleast a day before bringing it inside.
no, doesn't seem to be necessary at all. The 100mm front wheels make it look better, since all wheels are the same size, but the bigger trucks are definitely not necessary
Why does everyone keep saying it takes a month to get? Mine shipped today and its in Hawthorne and it says its going to be at my house same day (Im about 45 minutes from Hawthorne). Not expecting it to really be here but I know it wont be a month.
TheBeLuvdTRex sorry to let you down but it will take over a month if you have standard shipping. it’s on its way but they ship the information to fedex/ups which provides you with a false delivery date. just go in reddit and u can estimate the time. i ordered 5/31, shipped 6/4 and will be arriving 7/14. it got to the states on 7/8 . that’s about 41 days for me (florida) or about 36 days for u from the day u received your tracking #. hope this helps
Yo dude great video, I noticed you have the same issue as I did were a bit of metal breaks away from behind the motor PU, iv filled in mine with metal epoxy to make sure no crap gets into my motor. Also saves you £100
The backfire doesn't get 13 the wowgo3 does though. The wowgo3 is the budget king. But I do agree at this exact price this is definitely the best board
Wowgo 3 is a very good board, as is Ownboard. But for $430 meepo V3 cannot be beat, especially considering better performance (worse battery life and less flexy deck though)
Hello! could you send me the part number for the 100mm wheels? i see them but it says for 100mm motor so im having trouble find just the larger wheel for the 90mm motor
No difference - I have the same setup on my V3. If anything, it might keep the extra bit of carving agility from the 90 fronts with the stability of the 100 backs
in order to keep the motor wheels in shape. . you should ride in forward and reverse mode as well...the motor wheels have a rubber that wears very fast. ( due to back foot steering and carving). if the wheels are different. this is not really possible without problems
@@goonigoogoo5868 while I appreciate this, the 100mm sleeves are wayyy more durable - I've been riding mine this way (100s back and 90s front) for 1300 miles, and the sleeves still look almost new :) I can assure you no problems

@@sagesends Thank you. Meepo says on his website that "If you plan to upgrade your wheel size from 90 mm to 100 mm, please make sure you have a 265 mm front truck, and 100 mm front wheels or 97 mm front wheels." but I suppose it's only a recommendation.

I would say its the best for the price ($430). The wowgo 3 and ownboard are more expensive, but do have more flexible deck. I don't think you can go wrong with many of the well known Chinese options. They have significantly increased in quality since they started competing against boosted
I have two Meepo boards (V2 & V3) for over three years. When these boards work, they are great fun. However, This is my major issue with Meepo. After riding your new Meepo board, fully expect the ESC AND /OR BATTERIES TO FAIL! It has happened to me four times. If your board is problem free for more than a year, consider yourself lucky. The proof is in the warranty. 6 months & 3 months for spare parts. This shows that Meepo does not believe in their products.

Heck yeah! Just make sure to get the 100mm polyurethanes and always remember to plug the orange cover on while riding cause it will fall off if you ride with if dangling. The gap should be fixed as well
Reliable or not it’s too bad they can’t get their shit together with the 100mm sleeves. They sell out in a matter of hours, and of course the email alert comes out at 3am EST. If you can’t reliably get the parts you need I think it’s best to buy elsewhere.
when are you going to do a buildkitboard and revel kit review? revel kit is sub 500 at one point I think but it has direct drive and you can put abec 11 superflys on a much smaller deck. which makes it more handy and usable especially in the city where you have to make tight corner .... (that is y replaced my meepo v3 ) also the waterproof ability and thermal test meepo vs blinks2

I'm at the tail end of my 40's which isn't a big deal, I still go out there and tear it up on my BMX but my issue is that I'm around 215lbs. I wouldn't want anything too flexy so I think the NLS Pro would work well or maybe even the AWD Pro? Any thoughts please?
honestly I don't know, I think the flexibility wouldn't be too bad and would offer a lot of comfort. The V3 and AWD pro are relatively stiff and you feel a lot of cracks and bumps in the road
Fyi you have to use PayPal on their site, even though they give you another option... My order was cancelled an I got refunded a week later. Put another order in, this time I went with the V3 Er. Heres to hoping I get it soon
Smart move on grabbing the ER. The standard battery is fine for my commute, but I get battery/range anxiety. Additionally, I HAVE to charge it after every use, and if I forget, then I'm staying in for a quick 30 minutes or so while I let it charge.
@@codingorgaming982 yeah er is necessary. I have constant range anxiety. Although most eboards seem to have this problem. 20mile range should be the standard at least
Brian Kilburn just ordered a extra standard battery, a battery enclosure, and a charger so I can charge two batteries simultaneously. I was thinking to get the ER battery, but the huge price difference and numbers on my bank account, made me choose the standard one.
Hey anyway you could tell me exactly what I need to order for 100mm wheels. I can only find these set of 2 wheels and im confused if I biggy the 100mm wheels do I also gotta buy the 100mm wheel sleeves? Which would make it like 150$ to change the wheels. Ant help would be nice as of right now I just realized that I only ordered 2 wheels
the 100mm sleeves are $38. The front 100mm wheels are $25. I only got the sleeves, and left the 90mm wheels on the front. I have no idea where you're getting $150 from. If you want to replace the entire hub motors, then yes. But i don't see why you would want to do that.

Until then I just decided not to order anything else. It's my first board so it's all new to me. And actually going over what you said I might of made the right purchase. Just got my V3 the other day. I love this board. I have had other boards but I've had problems with them. I am looking for something reliable and fun. I got my V3 for 370$. Def worth it.
@@xQclips1 standard shipping, I got it exactly 31 days after ordering. They say it takes 22 days on the ship but clearing customs. That took longer because of covid. So expect a month though but absolutely worth it! I love my board. I also just swapped my deck with the bamboo deck. I love it.
Have you had any problems with your hub wheels I have a meep V3 ER And it only has 700 miles on it and I'm gone through 3 hub wheels that lock up on me. Have you had this problem Before
The main reason I'd opt for name brand trucks is the reliablility factor I rode generic ones and my baseplate cracked into 2 pieces when I was bombing a hill and I ate shit lol I don't know about this brand, but I know I trust paris

So Sage have you done any of that abusive sliding since you got the 100 mm wheels?😏 My 100 mm wheel upgrade kit I ordered long time ago, is now on its way, and today I ordered a extra standard battery, a extra battery enclosure, and a charger so that I can charge two batteries simultaneously. I did 200 mile on my Meepo V3, since I had it mid August. My eska8 mate Ronnie, he bought a WowGo 3 same tide I bought my Meepo V3. And from trying out his board and riding along side him here is what i think is the downside to Meepo when comparing to WowGo. The different max speed in Meepo’s different modes are useless when comparing to WowGo. In Low mode Meepo go like 5 miles in hour ( totally useless mode) where the WowGo goes13 miles in hour. Medium mode the Meepo goes like 15 miles in hour, where the WowGo go like 19 miles in hour. High mode the Meepo can go like 28 miles in hour, but it do surly struggle a lot to get there. The WowGo go like 24 miles in hour in high mode, but it got way more torque in all it’s first three modes than the Meepo have. In pro mode, the Meepo outrun the WowGo in both acceleration and speed, but damn it drains the battery awful fast. I wish the change those speed settings in the different modes on the next Meepo board, or give you a app so that you can adjust them yourself.

What suggestions do you have to keep the battery intact? How often do you charge it? Do you charge after every ride (even if it still has some juice)? Or do you wait to charge it once it’s dead?
Better to charge from semi full battery than to completely drain batter then charge it. Low voltage does damage to cells over time. I rarely drain the battery fully unless I'm doing a long trip
Nice video. I've got the Meepo mini ER, and I'm at around 200 miles so far. Its pretty much the same story for me: The board is awesome, but those 90 mm PU sleeves are just trash. Mine started to get messed up just after a week of riding. I wouldn't be too mad about it if I could just order the 100 mm replacements, but they are constantly out of stock. I'm trying to be patient because I understand that in a post-covid world supply times can be longer, but this is ridiculous. Oh well, happy boarding!
I ordered a meepo v3 er like exactly a month ago and im pretty scared cause i saw people saying it took 3 months and i keep emailing them asking if they got my tracking number yet since its been 32 days but lets stay hopeful, im in the us btw
Cause it's $200 more. For that price I would just get NLS pro. Only $70 more, with same battery, buy has bigger wheels and nicer deck. Also comes with much more accessories

specs on paper are good but does it do those numbers in practice? and what about reliability and build quality? meepo has gotten pretty good at making reliable boards
@@sagesends No one really knows if they last long due to them being a new company, I myself can say I get 18 miles to the charge I weigh 140ish, I can get the board to 25 mph but that's really pushing it, 23 mph is more realistic. It feels solid, customer service has been great and I've had no issues as of yet (1 week into using the board). Ronnie said he weighs around 190 and got 17 miles on the charge and got the board to 25 mph, hopefully build quality will last!
Hello, I just ordered a v3 ER and am an old meepo customer. So I wanted to ask that if you replace the rear pu sleeves with 100mm doesn't it make the board unleveled since your not replacing the front wheels in the sense that the front and back aren't leveled?

I've never has a Electric longboard before, have been sticking to my normal longboard for about 3 years now i take my longboard to school, to meet friends and i use it to travel alot however you get pretty tired sometimes, i really wanna get a electric board but don't know whice one i should get, the meepo v3 that you reviewed looks like a solid board that i might get and the price is also good not gonna pay more than that. Is it still worth to get the meepo v3 as today?
have you ever felt a little crack when you are riding on the board. I was just riding and felt a little crack in the deck. you can’t tell if there is a crack but should i get a new deck
my motors also click, happens if you go over a big bump or something and it bends the sleeves slightly. Not harmful to performance, and sadly hard to avoid with hub motors. My next board will likely be direct drive to avoid this issue
