great video I wanna check I have a v5 but I found a v4 truck rear and front wheels full truck set but the rear cord to the back truck is cut, do you think a v4 truck could be rewired to v5 battery? basically use v4 engine on v5 battery.
So started having problems a few days ago and I have around 250 miles on mine. I did a bunch of research and thought it was the antenna in the ESC that was misplaced (which it was) I had stuck it near the motors and that wasn’t even the problem. I emailed the Meepo support team the other day and they suggested what I just did with the antenna but I do believe it is one of the motors. Possibly my left motor. Because when I’m riding and go in Pro mode it won’t even accelerate past 23 mph anymore and the motor jerks out and can nearly make me wreck. I don’t want to ride it anymore until then. I do believe this video helped me. Did your board do the same when the one motor was out? Thanks.
My board didn't do the same because the motor wasn't completely out. It was just rattling. If your board is fishtailing or trying to slide out on the back end then, for sure, one of your motors (or maybe sleeves but probably not) is bad. Contact Meepo and explain to them what's happening. For me, their support is great and I received my new motor within three weeks which leads me to believe it came via air and at no cost to me. Everything else aside, don't ride your board until it's fixed. These things are fast and dangerous and you don't want to risk a motor seizing entirely while you're going 20+ mph. Good luck!
@@chrisburrows7923 I'll say that I've taken mine over some very bumpy sidewalks and have yet to have a problem though I'm convinced the PU sleeves are probably warped.
great video. i wondered about this process. Does anyone know if you want to upgrade to 100mm wheels, is this the process? like you order the entire motor/wheel assembly?
You can replace just the sleeves but take note of the following from Meepo's website: "If you plan to upgrade your wheel size from 90 mm to 100 mm, please make sure you have a 265 mm front truck, and 100 mm front wheels."
Everything works fine. To your point, after installing the new motor I put the board upside down and tested the motors to see if they began accelerating at the same time and braking at the same rate and they appeared to be good. Also worth noting that I only had 180 miles on this board when that happened so it's new motor vs kinda still a new motor.
I was stressed about it as I had heard many horror stories about Meepo's support model. Not the case here. After emailing their support, they sent me out a new motor that took less than two weeks to arrive. Great support!
@@yungbloaks I'll tell you this much- it's not easy. Don't be afraid of breaking the well assembly because a brand new assembly is like $70 from Meepo. If all else fails, take the retaining nuts out, rest the wheel on something higher than the board like a 4x4 block or a can of peas and slowly apply pressure to the deck to leverage it out. THAT IS after you have limbered up and gave it hell with your pythons, first.
