The first time was for Sever’s disease, which was treated conservatively with custom orthotics. Custom orthotics, like the Mikki Device, are the most effective treatment for Sever’s disease, a condition common in kids from ages 7 to 15 that is caused by an abrupt growth in the heel bone.
