I have listened to a lot of Rockstar interviews but Blackie is way up at the top. He is such a smart well cultured guy who can talk on so many subjects. He definitely would be a good guy you could shoot the shit with for hours and be entertained and most of his points are accurate and make sense.
I never thought i'd be going on these meet and greet binges with Blackie, but i like how he gives lots of honest thoughts and applies effort in his response.
Blackie seems like he appreciates being asked thought-provoking questions as opposed to the standard media-type interviews he's done before, good on him, and good on the fans who came up with these.
They should have had him testify instead of dee snider in front of congress during those tipper gore days. Blackie lawless is an excellent speaker and extremely intelligent.
This was the best meet and greet I ever been too. I got to ask my question about the Crimson idol and Jonathan that I’ve been wondering about for years. I feel it was a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you so much Jay and Blackie.
As for what one of the fans said, I too killed myself with a 32 cal. to the head. But survived. It was an angelic miracle that saved me from it and ultimately brought me to Christ. But I would eventually learn the callousness and missteps of my fellow Christian in how he/she dealt with me as a dark souled Metal Christian. Blackie is right. Christians are flawed but Christ is not. The only thing Christians get right is that we need him because we are all born fuck ups. Sinners.
Blackie is probably the most down to earth rocker I’ve ever heard! So of the best music an lyrics I’ve literally heard, I bn a wasp fan for over 30 years, the idol was so bad ass! Can’t wait for the new stuff!!! Fan forever! An I’m older I’m 52!

WASP = One of the Mozart bands of big-hair metal! Blackie is a Tremendous talent (i.e. vocalist, rhythm/bass guitar & principal songwriter). The vocalist in most bands focus on that alone! He's humble, has a healthy IQ & appears spiritual as well..

@@user-cs6up8eq7s To be fair, I was in a band in the 80's (not a big one, but one that circulated tapes in the underground and played a few shows for some more well known bands) and I don't go around saying what band I was in either for a lot of different reasons. Number one reason being that I like my identity to be separate from my RU-vid account.
I cant believe this is the vip experience!! He is just sitting there chatting about so much $hit and seems to not be in a rush like he actually likes talking to fans. So different then all these pic, autograph, move on type meet great. Wow just wow
Wow. You saw it differently than I did. He slouches behind a table, and rambles a bit. Apparently, no shaking hands, no one on one, no picture taking...nothing. I don't know what he charges for his "Meet and see"...but whatever it was, it was too much. Watch "Mean Man" if you want to see how a WASP meet and greet SHOULD go....and I'm quite sure Chris charges a mere fraction.
@@Skulllywag and Chris also draws a mere fraction to his shows as well. Went to the recent shoe in Toronto. His wife working the merch booth. Hundred ppl there at show tops. No way he could charge for a vip experience like that.
@@scottyflamingo1413 And from what I can tell from videos posted on RU-vid, Blackies "Meet and See's" garner 10-20 suckers per show. Blackies show's aren't exactly stadiums either....What 1,000 or so per show? I'm sure that if Blackie HAD a wife, she'd be working to save him a dime. The "my dick is bigger than yours argument" is quite funny when the bigger dick is 3".
@@robroblox8844 he answered this question before. He said honestly that he wants his fans to get the same quality sound as they get listening to the studio recording. He's not lip-syncing, he just uses back vocals to make his live singing sound better. I agree that it is not a 100% real live gig experience, but still enjoyed two WASP shows I have attended, no matter if Blackie improved his singing using this or not. He was singing for real and he was doing it good.
This guy is a paradox. In '84, he was pictured on Kerrang! holding a bloody skull (ketchup and plastic, I imagine) and grimacing. My reaction was to assume he was an opportunist with nothing to say. I was wrong. He's articulate and intelligent, and a humanitarian (see his response to the guy who lost his dad). It seems he used shock tactics to gain a foothold in the rock sphere, then branched out and blossomed as a writer and conceptualist.
This whole thing of Blackie talking about the church I went through the same kind of stuff cuz my dad was a pastor when I was a kid. The Crimson Idol helped me at a time when I needed to turn away from the church but not God. I had just graduated high school when the album came out gotten away from my father didn't have to go to church anymore I was tired of all the internal BS same type of stuff he's talking about. I realized it's okay to love God in your heart but you do not need to go to an unhealthy place around the bunch of unhealthy people even if they call themselves "church" or the "house of God"....

Ah,, baby... i was the only one who had taz's back (the guy standing The background) He loved mooko. On tour with him in the mid nineties. Those guy's , condescendingly chastised him behind his back using him for what they thought for the meager guitarist and lead vocalist dork duties. as a drummer I respected his hard work and looked at him as a solid figure and somebody that I could rely on. Some reason he choose them. Instead of brotherhood.

Blackie should take a plane to a distant, somewhere in Africa and see what some catholics are doing..helping to teach, to heal, to educate, etc.....there are anger in a lot of people, believers and non believers...Blackie seems to be another pastor of your own church...praying for him.
In Africa??? What gives them the authority to assume that African people who do not come from a Christian based society. Now all of a sudden need to abandon their own culture and become Catholics? A culture and spirituality that is way older than Catholicism.
Meet & Greet are under investigation they don't give the fans what they paid for! I was ask to go through meet & Greet to around 3 musicians & I refused because I don't have that kind of money to shell out! Rather continue renovations on my sister's house or go on a short vacation than to spend it on something not worth it
Ya, but I'm old school. I believe fans should be buying the CDs. Lol. I was the type that would strive to collect all the different editions. Just too easy now with the streaming. And you don't always get the bonus tracks.
