Meet Anida Yoeu Ali's Rainbow Brigade of Chadoras 

"The Red Chador" is coming to life! Join Tacoma-based international artist Anida Yoeu Ali this Saturday, June 1 as she transforms into "The Red Chador" alongside her rainbow brigade of chadoras. Together, the seven fully-veiled performers will walk and wander through the streets of Seattle, allowing the public to bear witness to the glory, pride, and joy of hijabi women.
Joining Ali for this performance are Selma Al-Aswad, Sabreen Akhter, Nisreen El-Saadoun, Hiba Jameel, Soraya Sultan Meer, and Yireidi Valencia-Martinez. Each of these women are local to Seattle, non-performers, and identify as a Muslim woman.
Follow "The Red Chador" and her rainbow brigade as they perform in Seattle, linking together SAM's three locations: the Seattle Art Museum, the Olympic Sculpture Park, and the Seattle Asian Art Museum. Check out the schedule below:

1:30-2 pm: Seattle Waterfront (Pier 70 to Pier 66)

3-4 pm: Seattle Art Museum
