Its gonna be a few days, but i will for sure show her everything. Every comment. shes probably gonna be asleep for few days coming off the heroin. But she will do great. I believe in her, and i know she knows she can do this. 💙
Chosen Won I hope you know what an amazing thing you are doing! Thank you for treating everyone you interview with such respect & compassion! Thank you for updating us on their stories when you find out info ...the good, the bad & the wonderful. I will continue to pray for her & all the other sick & suffering addicts. YOU are making such a positive impact with these people, all we want is to be looked at like we're still human....we're just sick at the moment. I hope this message makes sense because I know I'm jumping from topic to topic but your video's bring me such inspiration......I have a little over 5yrs clean & sober as of May 30, alot of hard work goes into it but it's so worth it. Please keep doing what your doing, your making a huge difference ❤
When you asked her what her favorite movie was, there was a moment where she sparkled, like someone was speaking to her like she mattered. Thanks for caring about these women.
this is exactly why the drug distribution charges are so harsh in some parts of the world. Anyone responsible for getting these people addicted should be hunted down and slaughtered on sight.
❗❗❗UPDATE❗❗❗ ASHLEY IS HERE WITH ME RIGHT NOW AND SAID THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! SHE IS DOING HER BEST TO GET CLEAN AND SHE IS EXCITED FOR THIS NEW START. SHE DID GET MEDICAL ATTENTION AND HER EYE IS NO LONGER RED AND SHE IS DOING MUCH BETTER 💕💖❤
Shirley thats excatly what i was thinking . Everyday is probably like a marathon for them just to not be sick....they didnt wake up one day and say ...let's go become an addict...xx
It was touching to hear her talk about childhood memories, and her love for animals. You could almost catch a glimmer of the sweet girl still inside. I hope she can find a way out of the darkness. No one deserves that hellish existence. Thanks for these videos. These people absolutely need to be heard and understood!
I know it sounds ridiculous but I wish I could help them all get off the street. It’s tough to watch a woman say she’s been raped more times than she can remember. At a loss for words how evil people can be preying on these people.
I think most of us would do anything to help these people. Problem is, most of these people only want to get high, and they trap themselves in this lifestyle.
When he asked Ashley her favorite childhood memory & she smiled, even if a slight smile she had a sparkle...That's the real Ashley & she's lovely. I hope she gets out of this life.
I don't know why, but she is weighing on my heart something awful. I felt this way with Penny, too. I just want to reach through the screen and hug her.
What is that huge scar on her neck? Her arm is torn up, her eye is messed up. She looks like a doll that was stitched together with pieces of what used to be a beautiful girl.
Ashley lives in 21st century America. This is so wrong. Our leaders have failed Ashley. So have our institutions. Yes Ashley has free will, but if we are to be judged by how the less among us are treated, then this is failure. Ashley needs hospitalization immediately. And Ashley loves animals.
This poor girl. She is so unwell - not only her emotional state, but physically. I Pray she doesn't go septic from her open wounds and malnutrition. And her eye needs to be looked at. She needs total holistic care (mind/body/soul) - if only this could come for all the girls out there you interview. Ashley needs immense treatment, now. She deserves to be well, they all do.
@@mrfeelnothing9586 Completely rude and unnecessary. The paleness is what seems off setting. Either wrong makeup color or just sick from the drugs. She has beautiful features. Haven't you heard the saying "if you have nothing nice to say..... shut it!"
@@snortypig596 You're absolutely right, but noone is associating her value as a human being with her physical appearance. If someone's got something nice to say, they might as well say it.
Yall my 31yr old son has been homeless for over 5yrs...he is somewhere in the OKC area! I wish and pray he would seek help, but it's got a hold on him. It literally breaks my heart. I feel like I wasnt a good enough Mother. His name is Adam, please lift him up in prayer? My heart hurts so bad
I know Ashley! I met her about 3yrs ago, she was a down to earth woman she had beauty and a glow to her then. She lived in my hometown up north for a few and dated a friend. Who she is probably talking about when she mentions breakup, I’m 19, Oscoda is the small town I’m from and it’s also an environment full of drug addicts, thieves, no jobs, police force who don’t care and super scandalous. The beautiful views of the lake and sunset and hiking trails are deceiving So from the family poverty and horrible drug addiction some of our families may have it impacts our lives mentally and it definitely took a role on miss Ashley’s life, This breaks my heart coming across this video. I am currently laying in bed crying to Jesus to help guide her soul in a safer direction. These streets are not for her. She has a beautiful! Daughter who desperately needs her mama🤕 Goodness lord please help Ashley find peace with in herself and help her be sanctioned in a blessed environment guide her to better herself from the inside out, I know you see our souls ache in sorrow ness God but you need to forgive us and help us through these tramas that we get lost and destructed in Lord this is a cruel cruel world and we need your strength to keep pushing forward Lord Jesus please shine your light to lead us let us gracefully take your hand and help those who are affected by drug addiction I ask you lord to protect these amazing people from the evil and bless them with a new start, in Jesus name AMEN❤️😪 I may have to make a trip to Detroit and find Ashley to pray with her! I promise prayers are everything people, repent and show God you really want to be on his side and he will show you the way your body is a temple and we are letting evil takeover our minds and our innocence we are born pure! Let’s not let evil win! We are so much better than the hurt that is trapped in our minds. Sometimes all it takes is a moment of star gazing and a few prayers, I promise people just leave the drugs alone! -Marissa
Thank You Tom. You're wonderful for helping to bridge gaps between loved ones. I also love your ability to plant "seeds of thought" in those most needing the help. Beautiful!!
Rehab just doesn’t work for everyone. It’s a “one shoe fits all” approach trying to deal with many degrees of trauma. Gabor Maté here on RU-vid is the man to watch (and read).
This lady has completely lost herself, she can’t remember anything she used to love. She is living in hell waiting on that next fix, I feel so bad for her, she misses her daughter so much, I pray she cleans up and gets back to her child again real soon. Kids grow up so fast, she is missing out on so much right now. My youngest is her daughters age and I try to enjoy every litte moment with her because I know how fast they grow up. My oldest turns 20 in December, it seems like I blinked and she was grown 😭
These videos are so sad but they're also good to watch because the viewers see how every person in this situation has dignity and their lives are something that we can all relate to if you've had family or friends who battle addiction. I wish they could all get clean from the drugs and the pain that originally led to the addictions.
These videos really hit hard and hit home. I really respect the fact that you attempt to humanize these unfortunate women instead of trying to make yourself look good at their expense like most people would.
Man... I miss her so much. A few days ago marked a year since her passing. Watching her battle with addiction, trying to help her get clean, and then sadly losing her was a journey. I know she's at peace. I'd like to believe she's with her brother again, which she always wanted. I know her daughter and mom miss her a lot, as well as those of us who love her. She was the party, whether she was in active addiction or during her times of sobriety; she WAS the party. Where ever you are Ashley, I love you. We miss you. And until we meet again, #SADOS
I'm new to your channel & find your interviews quite captivating. Regardless of who we are, identifying & trying to relate with society's problems & those going through tough times is a given. It's astounding how women you speak with, who normally are so guarded & frightened, who because of their experiences & circumstances are in danger who cannot trust anyone, all have that moment with you (on camera), where they reveal an honest & deep anguish stemming from their core. The positive & encouraging comments I read is another aspect of optimism these women still hold on to. God bless them for that. Thank YOU for bringing attention to - & helping them this way !
Asking every day questions to these ladies is so important. They are human and not just an addiction. They must be so bored of their lives revolving around this life and it is so lovely (and heartbreaking) to hear them talk about another love (movies/memories/people/animals)
I saw my fiancé shoot him self in the head in front of me at christmas, I have often worried that I will turn into one of these women, its amazing how the domino affect can knock down your whole life no matter how hard you try to stop the next piece from falling. Hearing her say that a similar situation was a huge part of her own decline just makes me feel a real connection to how she ended up here because you have no idea what its like unless you have been through it, same goes for the drugs same goes for watching those dominos fall
Ashley is one of my best friends. She is absolutely stunning I mean breathtakingly beautiful inside and out. Pray for my dawg and be mindful of this disease that she, and so many others, battle. We can recover. I love you boo🥰💜
What keeps people from successfully completing rehab and staying sober is usually going back to the same surroundings, same people, associating with people that have had addictions as well (because putting 2 addicts together is the easiest way to relapse, and also not learning or using new coping mechanisms! I’m a recovering heroin and meth addict and I’ve been sober for almost 9 years and I literally had to change EVERYTHING about my surroundings, my way of thinking, my coping mechanisms, and my impulse control.....but damn it was so worth it!!
Tom I’ve watched lots n lots of your videos, they’re awesome! Love the Detroit neighbourhood videos too. Sending best wishes from Falkirk in Scotland 🏴
Tom, thank u for doing theses videos, I've been clean for 8 years and i watch these videos, to remind me that I don't want to go back out there so u are helping. U ask the girls and a few guys what can u do and the people do to help well u are doing it making these videos, thank u,, I hope and pray that they get the peace, and start loving themselves again...
I like the fact that you interview these women. It is important for people to understand what is happening in our city. Many just see the thriving Midtown Detroit area. NEWS FLASH. Most of us don't have the means to live the life Detroit trys to project. A lot of us had crashed n burned during the GreatRecession. Especially those of us ladies that are single n have no other means of support. Keep it real. Offer help n following up with each n every one you interview n offer an alternative. Some may not be ready for REHAB at the time.... but remember ... it is hard for one so INDEPENDENT and strung out , to accept HELP.. KEEP TRYING. NEVER GIVE UP
Wow, what a life she's living. I truly hope she gets the help she needs to turn things around. It's amazing that these women manage to stay alive. (I know some of them don't.) These interviews are riveting.
Again, I feel tremendous heartbreak watching these angels suffer. This country just turns their backs and a blind eye to them. Writes them off and throws them away. Shame on you America! I've been where they are. Suboxone, kratom, lots of love, patience, and understanding DO work! Praying for all of them. God bless these ladies. God bless your channel.☺🙏👍
GOD bless and touch these people as they struggle and fight the evil of drugs, etc. I lost my 27yr son Jeffery to M.R.C.A, I'm forever changed. We can never give up on the ones we love, although it's very hard sometimes. GOD bless
See Tom your videos do alot of good! U educate us on the reality of their lives & sometimes family/friends see & reach out to their loved ones on the streets. Thank u for what u do for these ppl!✌
Rehabs can fail because the client falls back into their old ways because the same location they came from is all that awaits them on finishing. That's from experience from people I've loved , lost, and friended. Your channel shows that Everybody matters! And you have Some excellent heart warming comments below. I was just imagining what if....each person was able to sponsor another person in need of a little help. Wish!
Someone mentioned this the other day. I looked through obits and didn't find anything. I thought she was from up north on the east side of the state. Do you have any details? My condolences. Thanks
Wow.. This breaks my heart. She actually looks like Kirsten Dunst lol... But something happened in her life that just lead her down the wrong path.. She said she doesn't know how to get out of this mess and she really doesn't. Wishing her strength to get clean and become successful in a healthy way for her future and her daughter's future.
I hope Ashley is fine and good now. I hope she has a house to call home, and I hope she meets nice people to help her through the journey. God bless her and you! 😟☺️
Sad. I love that you show these people as human beings. Real people with real problems. Most are good people just very misguided. Not everyone is strong enough to take on the world....
Strangulation bruising, and look at her arm. Her eyes also, busted blood vessels more than likely from being strangled with deeper bruising as it goes entirely around. Her arm is also busted up. This is so sad.. I want to help her the most.
its like for a moment there you had her soul back and she was Ashley the question seams to bring back there humanity I'm glad you do this sir I can show my kids how scary life can be if you let it hit you hard enough
I used to have a best friend that got hooked on heroin. Our friendship ended over 10 years ago and he passed away about 3 years ago. I don't think he ever really got clean. I feel bad for his son who is a teenager now. An addict's life becomes all about drugs.
The sound of cars moving , and the weeds all around, makes the loneliness more apparent , must be maddening to have to hear all day, when trying to sleep.
Sorry I never got to finish my prior message. One thing I liked that this woman said was ( like most women you interview) have children. Of Course, their Mother or Parents bring up the Child! But, other women you’ve interviewed who have Children their Family is caring for, when you ask them what they’d really like, they mention things like shoes and such ( which I understand) they never mention their Child or Children. This woman did explicitly mention how she’d Love to see her 8 year old Daughter Again!! I feel that she’s has a Saving Grace!! The Love and Reciprocation of Her Daughter!! Much Stronger Influence than Rehab!! Though she’ll need Both!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
If someone could go down there and rescue her,....she would be a beautiful wife and woman for someone. Take her to an island, help her through withdrawal. You would have a model on your hands. Drugs are the devil, so sad! Really the only life she has ever known has been misery.
She deserves so much better. There needs to be more support for people with addiction issues and more support for people in low socio-economic situations so they don’t end up on this path 💕
God bless her. I hope she finds the strength to better herself and I hope she knows she is important and more than just the drug addiction but a beautiful woman.
