I’ve watched tons of your interviews but something about Carmen touches my heart! She’s special!

It’s heartbreaking to know it brings her to tears when someone is kind to her or says something nice. I pray that she realizes her own potential and also to get clean. It’s never to late.

What amazes me is she's living such a rough life and yet she still has a beautiful smile on her face through the entire interview. I would love to see an update on her when she's ready to get clean. May God 🙏 keep you safe always...

This lady was such a precious soul....she still has emotional expressions unlike some people thats in the same place.....alot of them just look so defeated....never laugh...never smile....but something special in her.....she even still has the sparkle in her eyes unlike most addicts....u can tell her faith is still with her

It broke my heart when-after having to think about it-she said that her favorite childhood memory is "watching tv and staying warm". There were 5 kids in my family too, with an eighteen year age difference between the oldest, and me (the youngest). My family was poor as dirt, but my mother and my oldest sister, did their very best to make sure I didn't feel like we were. Now that I'm an adult, I'm still broke as a joke, but my childhood memories are more valuable and precious to me than anything money could buy, and I'm just so sad for those who never received that gift.😢

Man shes BEAUTIFUL! And to think there's a crazy person/person's killing women and chopping them up there in Kensington gives me CHILLS! I want so badly to do what you do Frank. You and a few others like you here on youtube that i watch and support. I think ppl should help out with the homeless in their area, in their home town u know? It would be so wonderful if we could get groups of ppl in every state every city and help the homeless and ones struggling with addiction on the streets. They need it man, it really really breaks my heart. If i was better off financially man i would do so much. Thats why it takes many of us u know? Ugh it just breaks my heart.

She still looks good for 42 and the life shes living. She must have been very beautiful in her 20s and 30s. Such a shame the streets of Kensington called and she answered.

Carmen is a awesome person. She has a big heart. I know her personally from getting hi in Kensington. ( over a yr clean for me) I used to see her at the store on Kensington and take her to go get food ( mcds) and give her a few bucks. She reminded me alot of my mom that passed.

The saddest part to me is when they have to stop and think when asked about going to rehab. The strength of the hold these drugs get on people is INSANE! 😪

Carmen is really pretty and I know what her faith does for her because mine kept me safe, too. I'm in recovery and I like watching these tapes about addicts, Intervention, etc. because it helps me remember what it was like, what happened and what it is like now. I'm so grateful that I can finally play the tape all the way through.

carmen has such a sweet way about her, when she smiles it melts my heart.. she is beautiful inside and out, and, It's sad she didn't get to hear that growing up.. I pray she gets the help she deserves and a chance at a better quality of life. Carmen if you get to read this I just want you to know you are worthy, beautiful and loved by many, but you have to believe it to be it.. don't let anyone tell you different! No matter what road your on now and no matter how unworthy you feel, just know this is only one chapter of your life, there are many chapters in the book of life and the good ones are waiting for you, stay safe, hugs and prayers to you !!

I find you to be an amazing person to be able to be around all the drugs and addicts in Kensington and really be quite new in your recovery. For you to do what you do and show them and tell them recovery is possible, and not look down on them, you are helping so many people in their struggles. Kensington looks so depressing. I don't see how people can be content with where they are and just sit there and stare at all that garbage. It's disgusting. I didn't know there are places like this in America. I remember I used to argue with my mom about that when she would say weed was a gateway drug 🤔😒sorry mama 😏I come to realize she was right to a person who has an addictive personality called it right on the head!!!! Thank God for his mercy and grace that unconditional love that do help heals you😇😇😇😇🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤

_"She was a little bit abusive to me"_ = "My mother made my life a living nightmare!" That's my perception when I hear someone say "a little bit abusive." It's like they want to protect their abusive parent and not hold them accountable because most people are taught it's normal and ok to "be a little abusive" or that it's actually not abuse at all. A lot of parents think they literally OWN their children like they're possessions. A lot dont respect their childrens personal autonomy and neglect their feelings. That it's "just a switch" or "an extention cord" meant to avoid "spoiling the child" and it's went on for generations so a lot of people tend to minimize the serverity of it because they have been taught it's shameful to hold your parental unit(s) accountable for such things because NO MATTER WHAT you're expected to give them unlimited praise, admiration, and respect, just for giving you life. She doesn't wanna feel like she's "throwing her mama under the bus" which she would NOT be doing! That's my take on it. That's my observation. We gotta get out of this stinking-thinking. Any form of abuse towards a child is FOR the parent! It's not what's best for the child like they try to spin it. Abusing children provides temporary relief for THE PARENT in that moment of anger. When they smack that child around or beat that child for "being bad" the parent is the one who's relieving stress for themselves. It only teaches the child to fear the parent, not trust the parent, and to stifle and hide their own emotions in favor of taking care of the parents emotions instead. It also teaches the child that the child deserves to be abused, worthy of abuse, and that it's ok and normal to cope with their own feelings by abusing others. Vicious vicious cycle. It's gotta stop.

OMG the opening sequence killed me. It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Seeing all those people high and barely clinging to life is so incredibly sad. All of those people are someone’s brother, sister, mom, dad, aunt, uncle, cousin. Somewhere life just got off track for them and this is the only way they can cope. My heart just breaks for them.

This woman still has something beautiful inside her that expresses itself on the outside. There's a light in her eyes. She's pretty, and I hope with all my heart that she can pull through. I hope someone can help her.

Thank you for this interview Frank and thank you for sharing with her, and showing her a example that she can get clean. Its so heartbreaking seeing the suffering . Hearing how the kids there are NOT bein taught any kind of respect, or they would not be in that park hitting people with cinder blocks. No wonder things are so screwed up. If my Mom had ever, caught me in that park hurting any one, I would have had such a sore butt when she got done I would have never done it again. My thoughts with this woman, were if she got clean now, her four years old would heal and most likely not even remember what he is hearing now, or that she was missing. You were so right on talking to her Frank . My neighbor was in that Park, shooting dope until he was 43 years old. He is clean over 22 years now. Its not to late for her. My fear is she thinks she is not ready, and her body may give out before she is ready. My niece was not ready either, but at 39 years old, her heart totally gave out and the doctors could not restart it :( All the years in the streets, like this woman, not sleeping, not eating right, took its toll on my beautiful nieces body :( I hope this lady has a awakening before it is to late. She said shootings every day in the park. If the dope don't kill ya, it could be a bullet or one of the animal kids in there, killing them in there sleep . Just so damn sad.

I pray Carmen gets clean! I want for her to know that you’re never too old. I got clean when I was 41. I was in Kensington in 2001… Thank God it was only for a week. I live near Pittsburgh. It just breaks my heart to see all the struggling addicts there! I started to cry when she hesitated to answer about going to a program. That is one of the scariest things for us addicts. Earthlings will never understand that

She is such a nice woman. The drugs take everything from a person: their dignity, life, happiness, family, prosperity; health, safety, and gives only misery and slavery to a devil that ruins their life and laughs at them. Everyone should pray for these people.
