Lockheed Martin presented Belgium’s inaugural F-35A Lightning II stealth fighter jet in a rollout ceremony at the company’s production facility. The F-35A will strengthen the Belgian Air Force and its alliance with the United States as an important NATO ally, a top Belgian defense official said. The Belgian government purchased 34 F-35As from the United States. The first aircraft, codenamed AY-01, will be delivered to the Belgian Air Force next year.
