Excellent short that I've never seen before. Thank you for uploading it. Jackie was totally adorable and his millions of fans at that time loved him. This film was made during his European tour in 1924 during his Children's Crusade that raised millions of dollars to buy clothing and food for orphaned child victims of the recent war in Europe. He toured the United States, Great Britain; France; Germany; Greece and Italy, where in Rome, Pope Pious XI awarded him a special medal. This visit to the Cricklewood film studios in London would have to have been kept secret while it was happening, otherwise the whole area would have been besieged by fans, as had happened when he arrived in Southampton, England, aboard the S.S. Leviathan. It was reported that 250,000 fans turned up to greet him, bringing the city to a standstill.
@@IndianOutlaw1870 In all fairness his father had protected Jackie and his earnings for him to be able to access when he turned 21 years old. Unfortunately when Jackie was 20, his father and two others were in a car accident with Jackie killing all except Jackie. His mother remarried and she, and the new stepfather, his previous "financial advisor", went on a grandiose spending spree. Eventually Jackie sued them and recieved only $126,000 from the millions that he had earned.
This was filmed in September, 1924, when Jackie was visiting England during his European tour. At 4.16, Stolls youngest son (name not known) is wearing a black arm band, signifying that he was in mourning for someone. I've not been able to find out who.
Wowww he was the first international child teen mega star and one of the first big Hollywood mega star. Hope his state or someone has or finds and shows his other silent and talkies films

I feel so bad for that poor boy trying to get Jackie's autography and only to be refuse by that man. Jackie should have given that boy his autography anyway just to show wow, he's the star there. Bernie USA 12/31/2019
