@@cycodre Eh, it really shouldn't. Bike industry as a whole is ridiculously overpriced. You can get a decent motorcycle for the price of a high end mountain bike..and those things have engines, electronics and more sophisticated tech overall than a lightweight bike made with lots of carbon and a fancy suspension. As a sidenote, I'm in my late thirties and I've been a mountain biker my whole life. I've seen all the trends and have spent a lot of money on bikes and parts. And I have no problem saying it - bikes are overpriced as hell🙂
@@klandu9 have you, by chance, calculated what a bike should cost, based on R&D, marketing, manufacturing, salaries, pro athlete support, etc? I’d be curious just exactly how much they are overpriced. Is it $100, $1,000?
How did you fit the 52mm chainline crankset to the 55mm chainline frame? I ask, because Sram does not produce the XX1 crankset for power meter with a 55 mm chainline, only 52 mm. Is this some special 55mm chainline version that is not available for sale? I would like to install my Quarq on the new Spark.
Press fit is superior as long as the frame/BB shell is of a high quality. Companies largely moved back to threaded to make up for quality control issues, to save money, and to profit.
Wel overpriced bikes..... With time Scott got in the line of Specialized in overpricing. wheels are for racing or riding on clean tracks. Try a proper mountainbiking with dirty tracks, branches, rocks and all kind of debries. If you brake a spoke ?????
