Beautiful collection. I love the Mika and have been wanting one but was worried about the dark resin issues like the scuffs. That wool thing, did u just buff her by hand or did you attach it to something? Would you mind explaining it a bit to a newb like me? X
KM thank you! I’ll gladly explain! I bought the wool buffer on Amazon and although it’s meant to put on a buffer, I used it by hand. I started by taking a magic eraser and just cleaning off the doll. I could still see a lot of lighter colored areas where Mirodoll had sanded the seamlines. So for these areas I rubbed the wool pad in a circular motion for a minute or two. It would sometimes leave tiny little scratches if I did it too hard, so you have to be careful not to push super hard. The wool would buff the area and remove most of the light marks, leaving the area looking shinier and more like the original color. I went back and forth between the magic eraser and the wool a few times until I could barely notice most of the white marks. I will mention that it did not 100% remove every discoloration the doll came with, but it was 150% better than she looked when she came to me! Hehe. I hope that helps. :)
