It's cool to see how supportive and open the family is with the kid's partners. I think if more families were like this it would be a healthier environment and a trustful safe place for a lot of kids. I always have had to hide so many regular things from my family because I fear their reaction or actions. Even as an adult it's hard to talk about significant others or introduce them to the family without any fear of judgment and just an overall bad attitude. This is exactly what I pictured I wanted to have as a kid, just open to it so they don't have to sneak around and put themselves in a dangerous situation.

Your kids get a GREAT example of what a relationship should look like by watching you guys!

Another idea for the pancakes... do the circles and then carefully use the heart shaped cutter to cut out the center. Then you can swap the heart centers into the different colored pancakes.

Happy Belated Valentines Day Crazy Middles Family! That is a super sweet idea Harlan-She is a lucky girl! Love the pup balloon and the fact that everyone is pitching in to make her feel special! :) Cynthia's face when she saw the heart that Shelley drew was made even funnier when she said no judgement! Creative use of supplies for the balloon idea!! IT TURNED OUT AMAZING!!!! LOL I think being as Cynthia through the family under the bus about the van on camera, she should clean it :) LOl When Shelley asked if Harlan was in the van, I laughed that would definitely be a surprise if you got to the girls house and left him at home! You can make a bunch of shaped pancakes faster if you use a frosting decorating bag, or put the mix in one of those picnic mustard ketchup bottles. You can squeeze out your shape then fill it in as you go.

Aubrey needs some squirt bottles, as in ones you see in restaurants for ketchup and mustard. You use a griddle and first make the shape you want freehand. In this case hearts. After the outline cooks for just like 10 seconds fill it in with more pancake mix and cook as normal. Much faster and you can make a bunch at once! You may need to make the opening in the bottles (tips) a little bigger so the mix goes through better. Have fun with it for all Holidays and special occasions!!
