I love the fact that Cynthia has said that her older siblings sheltered her from all the bad things that went on with her bio family so she has no memories or trauma from that start

As someone who didn’t get their license until their 20’s I would encourage Cynthia to get hers. The longer you wait the more the fear and anxiety build up! Honestly you don’t have to drive very much or very far if you don’t want to but if there’s an emergency it’s important to be able to drive.

Thanks to the older kids for being willing to come around and update us. We miss them.

Cynthia I can understand your fear. I was in a couple of bad car accidents in my teens so I was so afraid to drive. It took me years to get over it and I actually didn't get my license until I was 24 yrs old. I will tell you this though, it was awesome and freeing to be able to drive and go where you want when you want. Start slow and just go out and drive around for a few mins at a time until you're comfortable. Wishing you peace of mind with driving and lots of luck conquering your fear! 🥰

I really loved this vlog. I believe shelly & Jared really have the concept down on how to raise children. You give them roots & wings. Roots of beliefs, morals & values to keep them grounded & wings to let them out in the world to make their own way. Yes, there will be mistakes & hardtimes & parents are there to help, pick them up & get them started again. One question for cynthia- who do you live with? (Your boyfriend)!?

I got into a bad car accident and totled my car a couple years ago. I was scared to drive for a little bit, but once you do it, you will wanna keep doing it. You do it when you feel ready.

Have you ever gotten any comments because you have (so many) adopted siblings? Would you want to adopt children yourself (when you get older for Landon obviously)? What part of your childhood has made you into the person you are today? What is your favorite thing to do? (if f.ex. gaming, which game and what do you enjoy the most about it? Basically take us on a "trip" into your world). What is/was your favorite subject in school? why is/was it your favorite? What is your favorite thing to do with the family? Which sibling (and/or cousin) do you get along with the most? Why do you think that is and why do you like that person so much? Tell us about something in your life or about you that you want people to know about you. Something that tells us something about who you are as a person.

64 is balmy! Today's high in Seattle was 50 and it felt pretty warm to me!

I got my license later in my teens. My aunt and cousins got into an accident right before I would have taken my test, they were hit by a drunk driver in the middle of the day. That scared me from driving for a while. It is so worth getting it Cynthia. I still have driving anxiety sometimes but it has gotten a lot better.

I totally understand Cynthia's fear of driving... I am 66 and have had my license for literally 50 years and had NO fear of driving anywhere until I turned about 60. I have had a recurring dream for years about an accident(never had an accident for real) but now i am afraid to drive anywhere except our small town and sometimes 20 miles away. It really makes it a challenge since most bigger stores and all doctors are at least 20 miles away. My daughter and grandsons are living about 50 miles away and I have NEVER driven to their houses(they come to me). Glad to see Cynthia in the video today.

I have to agree with Aubrey about Bath & Body and instant headache. I LOVE LOVE great smelling stuff and that store is a favorite but I get sensory overload if there are too many smells in one place or something is overpowering. I have issues with clothing department stored also. My timeframe is very limited in them. Company's or the store themselves do mist clothing with light scents. I know that from family and friends working in them. Sometimes you really don't notice when you walk in as it is so light but again, all kinds of perfume type smells in one place will do me in eventually. Will I stop buying and shopping there...nope but short timeframes at a time. Awesome to see Cynthia!!! She was your blogging buddy for so long!! Glad she is doing great and still with Corry! He is a cutie and seems fun and treats her well!

By the way, Cynthia!!! freeways are actually the easiest place to drive because it's almost always the same speed and if someone is going slow you could just go past them because normally there are more than one lane. Especially in the US I think??? looks like it in pictures, google maps (ehehehe... free vacay! just drop the person down on the road and it's almost like you're there) etc. And there are no (should not be at least) humans to pay attention to. Only cars). and maybe sometimes animals depending on where you are and what time it is. I get that driving in the city center is scary though. There are sooooo many things to pay attention to. Idk what the law says over there, but here in Norway the speed limit is just the upper limit. If you feel like you cannot go that fast because you don't have the right amount of control over everything in the traffic picture, just go slower :D You could also just blink to the side letting the person behind you know that they should pass you!! (again I do not know if this is allowed in the US where you guys live, but if it is it works really well!). Best of luck though. I think if all people were like you taking so much responsibility then it would be more or less 100% safe to be driving but also to be a ped.. eeeehhh... pedestrian? cba googling how it's spelled. Hopefulle it's correct or at least understandable.

I didn’t get my license until I was 21. I just got it for identification. I never drive on the road but it’s nice to have if I need it. I am 47 now.

My daughter has anxiety about driving since our car accudent when she was little...dont rush thats all I can say...dont rush them dont pressure them...in their own good time...my daughter is almost 20 and still doesnt want to...its ok
