Along with horses, our farm breeds and raises registered Simmental cattle! While the majority belong to my parents, I’m slowly building up a small herd of my own, and I want to introduce you to my beauties who will be calving before you know it!

Katie, thank you so much for the wholesome and educational videos. I avoid watching your videos and TikToks all day just so that I can save them to watch with my 19 month old son at night before bed. He asks every time "whats that" when he sees the animals and then neighs at the horses. He just learned cows moo and we are working on goats and turkeys next. You are a wonderful role model for him and our next children. You are hard work, kind, God loving, and stand you ground for what you believe in. Thank you again!

Gorgeous animals Katie!I'm not a professional breeder or conoiseour as far as breeds and genetics and such, in regards to cows or any other animal for that matter,i just base my oppinion on looks purely and i think your cows wether they be black or red,and your horses too are just beautiful.

It's entirely up to the owner of the cattle. Explicitly the owners; even if you house and care for cattle as a farmer, if a big company says you can't let them be free range, then you can't! It's all pretty wild.

Our cattle free range during summer. They come in during winter so that they can be fed hay.❤

This may be a dumb question, but how can you tell the sex of the cow before it’s born? I didn’t know that was an option

Through either a blood test or an ultrasound. Through the blood test you can see if it has a Y chromosome and if it dose it’s a bull calf because heifers have two X chromosome

if the cow didn’t get pregnant to the bull that they wanted her to than a clean up bull would breed her after so she is not left open for the year
