I worked in commercial construction and by far the toughest guys on the job site were the concrete finishers. My job was no game but I could never do a concrete job.
We get up early and we work all day. Just a pinch between your cheek and gum. Start in the morning and get the job done. Take care of business and we have some fun.
Never a dumb question. They have a pit at the concrete plant. They discharge the barrel into the wash out pit. Then they truck it to the crushing plant and crush it into road base 👍
Tony, I forgot to ask you. If you are in a cold state and you are using rebars like on your video here how thick should the concrete be? And would you put a plastic tarp underneath to protect the concrete from the freezing temperatures? How do you build up the driveway if it is all dirt? You would put crushed stone and sand in layers? thanks
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete Hi Anthony can I ask were you perchused your cutting tool that's putting the banding in on your border's? Would really appreciate bro
we are very similar man, thank you for the videos. About to graduate with concrete industry management will be working for company first then do this on my own. Will know how to estimate, sales, mange and all that. Thank again for the video
Bro! Love watching you're work. I wish I had half you're concrete knowledge, I would start my own business. I'm not sure how it is anywhere else, but here in the Midwest (Missouri) there isn't enough concrete concrete guys (businesses). Scheduling is like 6 months to a year.
I tell you something Anthony you have a great girl (Kristen) there! Not many young women her age would roll their sleeves up and use a grease gun or a shovel through fear of breaking a nail but she gets stuck in. Soon she will be using the bobcat!+++
Anthony it's obvious u are a expert in your trade. I'm a high end carpenter on the east coast cape cod. Also a 53 year old surfer with a private sandbar 8 minutes from my home. So love the fact that u hit the wedge. Love your content. Big mike
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete question for you: what’s the thickest poor you’ve done ? I’m thinking of replacing my back deck with a concrete slab that will have to be 16 inches deep, can that be done ? Any answer would be appreciated. 👍🏻🇺🇸
@@slipknot7424 hey bro 👊 no need to pour it that thick. I would compact ten inches of road base compact it really good. Then pour the slab six inches. Hope this helps 💯
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete yes Sir. Redding California, it’s about 112 miles south of the Oregon border. Thanks for the info on the slab, much appreciated. 👍🏻🇺🇸

I wonder if people understand the message you are giving. You don't need to post everyday and work less having a higher quality of life. There's nothing impressive about posting 3 chute pours a week.
