If I can beat cancer I promised myself I would purchase every single one of these shades. I haven't seen a collection recently where every single shade would work for tan skin like mine. Just looking at these colors gives me so much joy. You have outdone yourself, Lisa ❤
The fact that this is 100% recyclable is so very important in today’s world and it makes it extra special that you even offer tips how to do it. Congratulations! P.S. Homage to Audrey is always appreciated. :)
@@S.Morgenstern If you don't buy lipsticks, there was no problem to begin with so you can't solve anything. But now, for the people who do love lipsticks, their problem is solved with these lipsticks.
I wonder how many of us have those memories of grandmothers and their lipsticks. I, too, have memories of watching my (blind) grandmother put on her Cherries in the Snow -perfectly every time. She'd put her little finger on her chin and off she'd go. She'd say she was 'well acquainted' with her lips and didn't need to see them. She'd make me practise the same way and somehow knew when I got it wrong - and right. Fifty years later, I still apply my lipstick this way with my eyes closed. Thanks for creating yet another fab lipstick. I can't wait to recieve mine and use it. Xx
I've never thought about it but now that I'm reading your comment I'm realizing that I indeed remember perfectly the lipsticks that my mother, my grandmother and my aunt used to wear. I think the reason behind it might be that they would always use the same one (same brand, same signature color), and also that we were already interested in makeup even as little girls, so we would simply pay attention.
I, too, remember my grandmother putting on her Cherries in the Snow lipstick (to match her nails). Rummaging through her make-up bag was one of the pastimes we shared.
Amen! My hair is my natural platinum silver/steel color and warm colors don't flatter me so I'm excited about these. I ordered Medici already and while it's a tidge warm, maybe Lisa is also in my future.
I don’t know if it’s because I had a long hard day at the hospital, but watching this I’m nearly in tears. Your happiness and excitement over this is palpable, and I’m beyond excited to buy this “little sculpture” (that’s what I call all your lipsticks) - that I will add to my makeup collection and have forever. I also have vintage makeup, but nothing like your collection! Still it’s one of the coolest things I own. And this excites me to no end. WELL DONE LISA! 💄😻♥️🥰💄
Dear Lisa, I was expecting for sure another gorgeous lipstick formula but you just blow me with the sustainability part. I'm so thankful that at last there's a brand that not only is looking at the ingredients but also checking that the total product at its end of lifecycle can be recycled back. It says so much about you as product developer and how you envision your brand. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Lisa, you're killing me! My makeup collection is slowly becoming a Lisa collection. The foundation is the best foundation match I've ever got (a HUGE thank you from my light olive skin); velvet ribbon is the best, most beautiful red lipstick ever invented; the liquid highlighter is the nicest, most natural glow I've tried; the luxuriously lucent formula is the nicest feeling, most hydrating lipstick I own. Youre knocking every other brand out of the competition!
@@yumitemple3376 I wear #9! I previously had #11 which was a fine match but not perfect, I felt it was a little bit yellow. Now it's my summer shade. #9 is perfectly neutral without being grey or orange (that's usually the problem I see with olive or neutral shades), but I know she also has a #9.5 if you're more olive than neutral. I don't know if she still has those, but I got the little sample card (it came with a purchase) so I could check for my perfect shade!
I work in refillables, and this is SO impressive. It's really hard to work within the limitations of recycling plants so really appreciate the best practice guide for making sure they're processed properly
tearing up when you say you make sure it is guarenteed to be recycled even there is a one-year delay in launch and it took you and team 5 years to be here! This is dedication, I truly respect all the effort and work you and the team has made.
Lisa, these look smashing. Brava! The tube is gorgeous and reminds me of my lovely Grandmother (Yes, here with another granny reference!) who displayed her ribbed gold Estée Lauder lipstick on a tray in her powder room. I miss her so much, but to honor her memory in a very small but significant way, I purchased a vintage tube on eBay. It really makes me smile. An now, looking at this tube you’ve designed, I see myself displaying it on my own tray, and passing them down to my daughters. Much love to you from across the pond!❤🤍🩵 Happy Launch! Xxx P.s. your donations to Audrey’s favorite charity really warms my heart!
Lisa, this is gorgeous! I can see it being a special item for many people. When I was little, my grandma had a gold metal tube of bright red lipstick that she would wear on special occasions. After she passed, we had to clear out her house to get it ready to sell. My mom asked me what I wanted that belonged to my grandma and all I could think of was that tube of lipstick. My mom told me that she had thrown it out a few days prior. I was disappointed. On my last day at the house, I did a final walk through, taking it all in. I looked down at the kitchen table and in the middle of a dish of random items, sat that gold tube of lipstick. I still have it and oddly enough it smells just like it did when I was a kid. Memories...
Lisa, I am completely blown away! You have outdone yourself with this incredible launch. I absolutely love how every aspect of the lipstick is so carefully considered and you didn’t give up! It’s so inspiring to see a brand founder put so much work into their products. I know people are going to love these lipsticks, I can’t even begin to choose a favourite shade! Huge congratulations! 🎉🥰🫶🏻💄
I’m so impressed by your love for vintage makeup products. How absolutely wonderful that in this age of “throw away everything” you are preserving & honoring the past & the planet. I love your vintage makeup videos! I would love to have a peek at your vintage lipsticks!!! Beautiful colors & the case is perfect❤️❤️❤️
Oh this brings back memories of my late grandmother....in her beautiful powder room which always smelled of Shalimar and roses, she had a little dish with three beautiful gold lipsticks. One of them was that classic Clinique tube. One of the others had a ring of rhinestones around the middle. I remember opening the tubes as a child and sniffing them! It's so vivid and stamped in my memory, and yet was 35 years ago. I'm sure one of my aunts or cousins has those beautiful tubes now, I should ask! In any case, I can't wait to order one, and will smile and remember my granny when I use it! Thank you.
I am giving you a standing ovation... one that last a long time, not just for the new beauties (got them all as usual) but for staying true to your beauty and personal values. Keep on going dear Lisa, we are marching right next to you 🤩💄💄🙌👏
"This shade is like Velvet Decade and Velevt Midnight had a baby."...Uhm, yes, someone called my name? What a launch! This is a true beauty product of art. So good!
Bit of an unrelated comment but I want to thank you for New Wave. It suits me beautifully. Its a very unique shade that I dont think is dupable anywhere. You know your intensities are the best. Thanks for making such a unique beautiful colour that probably doesnt get the attention or praise it deserves
I do somewhat more ‘out there’ makeup styles, and pink is my fav colour, and it suits my blue eyes. I use New Wave as a ‘cream shadow’ base and also for even contouring 😅
to be Lisa Eldridge and think that naming a lipstick after yourself might be self indulgent is one of the many reasons why i almost cried watching this video.. you inspire me every way, Lisa!! thank you for creating beauty and sharing with us so generously💕 i can't wait to make Rouge Experience a part of my daily ritual
This lipstick is like a jewel, a little treasure, the packaging looks vintage, of course 🤗it's beautiful❤️the scalloping reminds me of the Estee Lauder lipsticks that I adored..
Love this product and so, so proud of your commitment to innovating for sustainability in an industry with lots of momentary hype and long-term wastefulness. The impact the beauty industry has on our planet is huge. Thank you for advocating for a truly mindful approach to product design and use-- you always raise the bar and set a new *gold* (shiny) standard.
Lisa, you are an icon in this industry. So much care and thought into your products, especially in this lipstick. It couldn’t be better. I’ll get one for me, one for my mom and one for my sister in law. I hope they’ll pass it on to their daughters, as I’m sure this is a product that it meant to last, use and enjoy with every application!
It could seem like a small thing, but I am really glad that you made the effort to create this, because I believe everything we possibly can should be made 100% recyclable just like you have done. Once again you have shown us that you truly care about your products and your product users
Hi Lisa, the case is very elegant, it reminds me of an Art Deco design, so stylish. Well done for making a fully recyclable product. Your tenacity is inspiring! ❤
I think I'm going to cry. This was such a passionate launch video.. and the mention of Audrey's favourite charity sent me. just so beautiful, thoughtful, and kind. 💜💜💜
le rouge à lèvre "Audrey" est pour moi ohhhhhhh, félicitation Lisa pour cette belle collection, le packaging est tout simplement magnifique, un petit bijoux, le passé et le présent réuni dans ce joli tube, sublime. Merci Lisa💄💄💄💄💄💄💄💄
I love that so many of the cool shades look like they are also suitable for fair/light muted olives, even bohemian cherry would work for a dramatic/ dark look! Im sooo excited to get my hands on these, on the waitlist for bohemian cherry too 🎉
You are officially my favorite makeup creator. The time and effort you put into making quality products is so impressive and I absolutely love the idea of a refillable lipstick that's actually sustainable. Thank you for always putting quality ahead of just making a profit. We all appreciate you so much!
I have to say, I noticed you didn't use a really fair-skinned model in your campaigns for your recent releases-unlike earlier releases. As someone based in the US, that can only order online, I used to rely on that model as an indication of the level of contrast a product would have against my skin tone. I love to see diverse cosmetic campaigns, so I hope you can bring them back to keep the range of models even more vast.
I second that. I would like to see it on more fair model with cool undertones. Lipsticks look so different on different color contrasts and undertones.
@@lavenderamethyst6050...lol, no. No she's not. She's light. There’s fair, light, tan, deep, and then rich. That's how a range is typically broken up. For context, Lisa wears T6 in the skin tint range. I would wear T1.
I think my fascination for makeup really has been fostered by your own, I was watching your videos as a teenager thinking that your vision on makeup artistry was so sharp and timeless. I understand now that your curiosity and passion really is something special, and that's what brought me back everytime and kept me learning. These lipsticks will last lifetimes and I truly think this launch will bring back a whole new wave of long lasting beauty products that people will want to keep, and pass on to future generations. I think everyone has a memory of someone close to them using a precious lipstick. New memories will bloom from this!
If everyone can buy this is will prove to both Lisa and the industry in general that the public wants and DEMANDS that cosmetic companies make MAJOR changes in the EXTREME level of waste they create. So much of the beauty products sold via RU-vid and Instagram is contributing to millions and at Sephora are the major contributors to plastic waste in our world and we need to show companies that products like these should be the NORM and not unique and expensive!! The more of these we buy the more they’ll make and the more affordable they will become! Bravo lisa!
The lipstick is extremely expensive, imo, but I obviously understand that it’s luxury makeup and one of a kind for now. I totally agree, and I have to say that I love that Lisa doesn’t do Limited Editions either. She keeps it real, she keeps it more eco-friendly and it’s just a more intentional shopping experience with her makeup
Beautiful presentation Lisa! Your pride and joy are palpable. Thank you for being persistent with the recyclability. Nature deserves it. Gorgeous colors as always! Love the color of your blouse and how it suits you, class&beauty!
Excited to hear that Alexandra Anele came to London for an event with you. I love her! She is such a talented artist and creator! Your new product is innovative, gorgeous and so fabulous! I love Romy, Ashes of Roses, Medici and Bohemian Cherry.
This is gorgeous and just what I was hoping for!! I do second the feedback on the fair models - as a super fair skinned person with a very cool undertone, I always found the model shots with the really fair-skinned, cool-toned model so helpful as I knew I would be able to wear the shade without it making me look ill. I look forward to the upcoming content with fair-skinned (and hopefully cool-undertoned) models you mentioned in another comment!
Hi Lisa, I felt really special to be part of the emerald group and to see what your new lipstick product was about before the others, but to be honest. I was happy to wait for your video to come out for everyone so that I had a much better idea of what the lip colours look like. Rest assured, I am VERY excited about this new product and will look into this very carefully. But am also excited that you will be bringing new colours out later too.❤❤❤
Just purchased ashes of roses. I’m unbelievably excited. And got my initials engraved. Asked my parents for this as a birthday gift ❤ So so looking forward to using this regularly
Congrats Lisa on the launch! It would be really great to see your vintage lipstick collection, I am fascinated by the history of makeup and I have loved your previous videos on the history of makeup/historical makeup looks...
I was so awestruck by the beauty of the component and the thought you put in making sure that the refill was INDEED recyclable that I decided right there and then to buy a lipstick. I ordered the full lipstick in Medici, and went back and made another order, this time for a refill for Ashes of Roses. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! I'm excited!
Your CS team has been so helpful with a couple of glitches I experienced! I've pushed the boat out for Medici, with Romy, Lisa and Ashes of Roses refills - more everyday shades than the Velvets which I own and they look like they would mix together beautifully depending on my mood.
You look stunning in this video! I hope you’ll do a tutorial on how to create the look-your skin, eyes, everything looks amazing! All shades look great!!! And the package is beautiful!
Oh wow! Lisa, the colors are so nuanced and beautiful! I cannot wait to receive all the colors I bought and wear them. Your lipsticks are my top shelf lip products and I expect these to live there together and reach for them by default. What a stunning release! Congratulations! ❤
Lisa, I truly appreciate the thought and care that you put into your products. I have been turned off by so many refillable lipsticks becuase the designs are at best not well thought out (with magnets and plastic) and at worst not really refillable (with hard to find refills, refills that only work in the cases, so you need multiples, or case designs that get replaced with new cases of different dimensions). This design is answer to all my grievances ❤. I loved all the colors and decided on Ashes of Roses and Simone (plus a lip Pencil in 2W). Over the moon with this beautiful launch.
When I was in my forties, I looked carefully at older women who looked great to figure out what they were doing. I decided it was two things: a great hair cut & bright lipstick. Now that I'm 65, I indulge in all the wonderful lipsticks. I'm beyond ecstatic to get my hands on these! Might even splurge & get the monogrammed case.
Exactly! I have my natural color, platinum silver and steel with some dark brown left underneath, at the nape. I look washed out without a fairly saturated, cool-toned lipstick or gloss on. For everyday, when I'm not wearing much makeup, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the lip balm she made and I use Epanoui -- so good. I ordered Medici from this launch and may get Lisa eventually, too. So exciting! And I did get my case monogrammed!
A beautiful lipstick like that deserved a little velvet protective pouch, Lisa. Nice things get scratched in hand bags. Preservation for longevity is key!😊❤👜💄👛
I have never seen you as beautiful as today, you are glowing! Lisa, this is lipstick of my dreams! I actually had exact same lipstick in mind, this is so weirdly awesome! I’m so exited for the shade Audrey! All the shades are so gorgeous! And thank you so much for your generosity and an eye for every detail. You are such a kindhearted and honest human being. Thank you, dear Lisa!
Lovely product but I will only critique the refillable prices being £25. That's pretty steep for just a refill! I understand it's got a whole environmental aspect to it, however bit too expensive imho
Love the ribbed design, and that it has a 'waist' in the middle! If anybody's handbag is like mine (?) - it's a TARDIS! And I can never find anything when I need it. Hopefully with it's unique shape I'll be able to locate the Rouge Experience with ease! Can't wait to try! I chose Medici and Audrey - thank you Lisa - you're my lipstick guru x
This collection is absolutely beautiful and I’m so happy that I can switch out the color whenever I feel like it! Thank you so much for sharing your creations with us ❤
To be honest, although I'm one of your biggest fans (mine was one of the first posts on Instagram about the first trio of lipsticks, and I think there's only one launch I didn't order anything from, and that was only a shade extension 😅), I was sceptical. What's so special about a refillable lipstick, there's plenty of them! After watching the video, I'm in awe. The amount of attention to detail is crazy! Making sure we know the peculiarities of recycling??? I should have known the Queen of Lipstick doesn't disappoint. My grandma had a lot of Estee Lauder lipsticks, the blue ridged ones. She was one of the ladies never leaving the house for serious business without lipstick on. I am a bit said to this day that I didn't save one of the cases when she died. We also shared a given name. So now I'm rushing to buy one, and I'll pass it on to my daughter, so she'll have two, because there is no way I'm giving it to her when I can still use it and also I'm not letting her use any subpar stuff when she's old enough to appreciate a power red. ❤
Some things will never go out of fashion. Lisa Eldridge’s makeup will be one of those in the beauty field. Forever iconic ❤ Forever beautiful. Timeless.
This is so exciting! Another potential gem from Lisa. My issue with high-end makeup is, first of all, their CLOSE ties with sponsoring genocide as well as having headquarters in the heart of the occupation power (Estée Lauder owns most of the brands, and their owner Ronald Lauder is very open about his support for that murderous ideology). Secondly, those brands mostly put a lot of money into ads, celebrity sponsorship and influencer hype, but once you look at the ingredients...it´s just criminal to sell for that price (like Clinique Black Honey that contains bismuth oxychloride). There are lots of affordable (and genocide-free!) eco brands that are much more affordable, skin-friendly and cruelty-free. So I´d actually rather splurge on a brand like Lisa Eldridge than any other luxury brand. She seems to put so much thought behind it, and has taught us all so much since years. I´d just like to find out who owns the brand. (Ladies, please do check out owners like Vanguard, Blackrock, LVMH etc. Especially L´Oreal, that is far from cruelty free and owns almost everything. Learn about ingredients too, and see how highend really doesn´t mean better ingredients...just fancier packaging. Please do not give your money to brands that finance the weapon industry as well as torture of animals. Let´s hit them the only place that will hurt them!). Free Palestine, and free every other people that is subject of oppression and genocide!
My favorite things about all your launches is that it bears no mind to seasons and trends. Every collection is very intentional. Thank you for considering every issue, esp that most refillable lipstick formulas are just too intense to really finish off a tube. ❤
Lisa, you are beauty and brains! I love the entire thought process you went through from design all the way to recycling. The design is stunning and all the shades are lovely! ❤
Recycle? Like we're gonna ever throw away our LISA MakeUp pieces... Ha-Ha. I'm keeping everything. REUSING the white carton boxes and paper for Christmas ornaments is fabulous. Never would get rid of anything (excep for the little paper packaging the items come in)... but to be totally truthful, all garbage ends up ALL together at the very end. It's been said for a decade (whistleblowers) and now it's coming to the surface soon. The Radio said this summer that we might even stop the entire 'separating' in the whole city. True story! It was all a show. Sad isn't it, but it opens the eye how easily we can be manipulated into anything... Truth prevails. Eventually. Divine colours, Audrey is BACK.. sensational lipstick cases.. ♡♡♡ xx..
Will the existing shades in the other formulas be created as refills for this? I have so many and would love to be able to replace them as refills when I get through them.
You change the game every time you step into it. Your vision and your values are taking this industry in a direction no one else could. Can't wait to get mine and cherish it for a long, long time.
I'm so excited. I love your products. I have three lipsticks (spirited away, rosy shell and palazzo) I love them so much. I almost finished Spirited Away and I have never finished a lipstick ever. 💕💕I also have a lipgloss (dancing rose), a liquid highlighter, a liquid eyeshadow, some single eyeshadows and the face cleanser. I have to say your products are absolutely amazing, I recommend them all the time to makeup lovers. The cleanser blew my mind, it is soooo amazing. There is nothing like it out there. 💕💕
Wow, amazing work! So happy for you (and for us)! It's just too hard to choose :D Maybe it would be an idea to reference more of your earlier shades, which are the new ones closest to/between? Like you did with that lovely shade Bohemian Cherry :)
Simply stunning! Brava for the refillable, recyclable component. I’m going to purchase for me and for my daughter who is just starting her career post-uni in New York. I want her to feel special and glamorous when she pulls it out ❤
Beautiful!! I own a few of your lipsticks, they’re so pretty, but, everything turns pink on me, so I wouldn’t even know which color to order at this point. Sometimes, a girl just doesn’t want to wear pink 😉💖
do you find you have naturally quite pinky hues in your lips? if you can reach out to my team in my dms they'd be more than happy to help with some personalised suggestions xxx
Would you believe that after using luxuriously lucent, I wrote an email to customer care requesting to launch refillable lipsticks. I could see me actually going through the whole bullet. Thank you for this launch, Lisa. Much love ❤️
