Does calcium really help with soil compaction? I use a microbial solution that a day after application i can push my finger into hard soil. But i also make calcium acetate. I just didnt know it helps soil compaction.

When i see orchards being dug up. Isee a mass of roots at the base, that tells me surface watering. That means frequent watering. Why dont i see deep watering with a pipe 2-3 into the ground. My thinking, surface watering evaporates, quicker, meaning you need to water more often. than substance ,deep watering, needs. I heard nothing about adding gypsum, to loosen the clay heavy soils.

What type of calcium is it? There is calcium nitrate and calcium carbonate. Which one, please tell me.
