I enjoy seeing how Adam really, truly loves, dotes on, and appreciates each and every animal in his care.

Its a miracle these ponies survived the war after being slaughtered for their meat. Hope they'll be restored in their numbers and safe of endangered breed. Keep on the good work nice ponies.

Our Newfoundland Pony is an extremely rare breed now...developed from several of your native breeds..Dartmoor, Exmoor and Fell especially. It is a Canadian Heritage Breed that sadly was almost lost in the 1970s. Most were sold for slaughter when ponies were no longer allowed to roam free.

I've seen those ponies - in the 70s when I visited Cupids Crossing. Nobody was looking out for them then, and they just wandered around wild, or feral. I recall also ponies in Nova Scotia that had to be at least part Dartmoor - native UK ponies.

You can almost ‘see’ the ‘wild’ in them. They seem to have the attitude of wanting to be on their own without interference. We had horses on our farm until we finally needed the pasture for hay. They are lovely animals but our economy helped us make our decision.

Exmoors are ponies not horses & can you tell me why they still herd the wild population up every year & cull them? I grew up on Exmoor & know a lot about the breed as we always kept them.

What I really don't like is that they hot brand them. My vets refuse to do hot branding on anything; they put freeze brands on our horses. Takes a bit more care, but there's no reason why they couldn't do that. Hot branding is cruel.

I'm hoping that you give Lexy a year off breeding this year then!

Exmoors look pretty much exactly like horses painted on the walls of the caves at Lascaux in France. My favourite artists are the Neanderthal people (more than likely) who painted them with such accuracy. Glad they're being looked after so well. I have read that Prince William wants to get rid of, or move on the Exmoors that are on the Duchy of Cornwall. I hope that's not the case. If so, I'll become a republican.

Why did you sell a rare breed Exmoor pony to an unfit person? I rescued the poor unhandled colt from her!

these animals are not endangered ...why breed them ? They waste food and space Would it not be better to use the resources to save rare cattle , poultry and sheep breeds ?
