In this episode, I go flying with a friend of mine, Andrew in RB - A beautiful Eurostar SL that I hire out to a small group but don't fly that often myself!
Thanks for that! Yeah there’s a bit more finesse required when landing RB than IX plus it’s strange having to switch my mind around with different hands on the throttle/stick but they are both very different and excellent at certain things in their own ways!
You are very kind! Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to watch them! Keep chasing that dream of learning to fly one day too, you won’t regret it!
Congratulations! Hal is a good guy - he’ll get you through your training in no time I’m sure! Thanks for the kind words - makes all the hours editing worth it!
Yep I hear you. My vids are all flight SIM stuff, I can only imagine the workload you must have to do to produce one of your videos. Anyway really awesome stuff and here's to you becoming the UKs answer to Trent Palmer!! 🍻
One lovely aircraft. Light sensitive controls though i did find the trim too effective, an eighth on an inch can easily put you way out of trim. Putting on fill flap is like hanging a barn door in the slipstream
Interesting video, always like Eurostars, that take off did seem sluggish but I thought that you seemed to have the nose wheel off quickish (I didn't realise it was up hill too though). What horsepower is that Eurostar? I know with C42's that it's advised not to power up on the brakes (it kills them off) but I wasn't told off when I did so with EV97s (80bhp). Every day is a school day 😊👍💜😊
Yes it was a bit sluggish there was something atmospheric I’m sure. I was keeping the weight off the nose wheel but wasn’t trying to hoist her up. I opted for the slight up hill because the down hill take off involves climbing over rising ground! RB is 80hp and I’m probably a bit heavy for her at the moment! I was 10kg lighter when I owned G-CDJR!
I'd love to get into ownership as I have an LAPL mate, is there any chance you could do a rough owners cost of G-NIIX, plane cost, annuals, fuel costs and the like ? Cheers if you can 👍🏻
