Leg 3 of the Cheshire Flyers FAF 3 2023. West Wales Airport to Haverfordwest late afternoon. The visibility is deteriorating and the sea fog is rolling in.
Great video. Beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing. ( I haven’t had much chance to fly recently but I did get a short flight in with the GoPro 8. I need to explore more with the settings but it looks promising. Very kind of you to offer one of yours as a test. I do very much appreciate it.
Thanks Tim! No problem at all. I was going to say I hadn't seen it in your last couple of videos yet! If you need any help with the settings or anything then feel free to give me a shout any time. I look froward to seeing the results! Thanks for tuning in once again sir.
Have been following you for a while now flying over areas I know in the north, as I am a Mancunian. Then you fly over West Wales where I have been living for past 25 years. You are right about the scenery it is amazing. There are also lots of old airfields around the west Wales counties. Enjoy your videos immensley.
Oh wow! I don't blame you for moving there. I would move to Wales in a shot! Absolutely lovely place. Thanks for watching - I am glad these videos bring you some enjoyment.
It is glorious over that way! I think one trip I would love to do next summer is the same route but to carry on South down to Cornwall and then across to the Isle of Wight. That would be a lovely couple of days flying.
Well can i suggest in the summer try a five day trip, two options take a light weight tent and sleeping bags, Anna may not approve, you could see a lot more , or B&B it . Clive
We are still enjoying some unseasonably warm weather. Plenty of rain to go with it. A lot of the fields around my area keep flooding and as soon as the water drains away it rains and puts them back under water.
These were filmed back in September and there is 12 hours of footage from each Camera ive had to go through so posting it all in order. It's a mammoth edit but I am thoroughly enjoying it as it is just re-living the whole experience for me! A bonus seeing as its really poor weather here at the moment!
Anna must make a good passenger as she always looks so relaxed. Obviously has faith in her pilot. Stunning scenery, The joys of flying brought home in one easy lesson. I always enjoy your videos and appreciate the time you spend putting them up for our enjoyment.
She is great to have alongside me especially now she can hold the plane in a straight line herself and also change the radio! Thanks again for watching!
Really enjoy watching your videos! (Arizona, USA) As an old photography buff it slays me seeing you and Anna taking pictures of the scenery in portrait mode all of the time 🙄🙄 It's a shame you're "toy" aircraft isn't big enough for you to take Anna and Faith both up on your jaunts, that would be awesome to watch 😁😁😁 Best wishes and safe flight to you and Anna and all of your flying club!
Oh I do love Arizona! I can't wait to go back there it is such a lovely place. I went to flagstaff the last time I was there and Phoenix a couple of times before that. We need your weather! I do actually have another aircraft with four seats - a PA-28 but the plan is to get Faith up in my other plane next (yes I have 3!) which is a bright red, Eurostar EV97 SL and see what she thinks of that! Thanks for tuning in from across the pond! I am so glad my videos bring you some enjoyment.
Yeah the process of setting up an account with the local council so that we could PPR out of hours was a bit intense! It took about 20 minutes! I have eaten at Propeller's before last time I flew in and it was great. Yes - we did all this on day 1 and still 1 leg to go until we got to Swansea to meet up with the rest of the club! The Cheshire Flyers FAF's are always lots of flying and lots of fun!
Great video, especially as it was over an area I know really well. I’ve walked most of the Pembrokeshire coast path. It was a shame you didn’t make it round to St David’s but you did fly very near. Many fantastic beaches and wonderful coastline, even better than Cornwall in my opinion. By the way, Dinas is pronounced Dee-nass as far as I’m aware. I’m visiting Wilmslow next week, so will keep my eyes on the sky when I’m out in case you are flying.
Funny you should say that - our initial plan was to carry on south on day 2 to Cornwall but the weather didn't play ball unfortunately! Everywhere south was either fogged in or going to be fogged in or even worse - thunderstorms! I shall tell Charlie he pronounced it wrong but we should let him off because he's an Aussie! Thanks again for tuning in!
