I am positive that there were many british who became muslims even centuries earliers.. but would not admit it because of fear, backlash.. Quran mentioned that when people are in hell they would wonder why "so and so are not with us" .. I am sure today the revert number is more than stats shows.. not all come and publish in youtube their journey only tiny fraction of them.

Hassan brother, I have read and saw vidoes of many people who said amazing story, if you speak Arabic see the Egyptian christians conversion stories to islam.. (may be now translated) but one of them was son of a powerful pig farm owner the biggest in the country, and rich, and he lived in a majority christian village where Muslims very tiny minority, he said he did horrible things, he burned the little school mosque for the few students in the school etc etc etc.. he became important priests, his father is so rich that he made him head of one church (meaning he get 1/3 of the income which comes from donations and paying for their sins, he said that) anyway a Muslim boy giving Islamic books in the bus he was taking and he did not give him a book out of respect because he was dressed as priest, he god mad and asked why, the boy pointed to the cross hanging from his chest, but he gave him the little book, and he tipped the boy good, and went to his cell, and read the book was so impressed by surah al ikhlas so much so much it stayed in his mind like carved on stone.. converted and hid his faith, for years, but caught and was punished in one of the monastery.. they hit him etc.. and he faked that he saw change his mind and that christianity was right etc.. they sent him in that monastery to the a bigger preist to evaluate if he is saying the truth... so the son of the rich man, told him father they punished me a lot, and did a lot of thing to me.. the OLD PRIEST told him be patient "man yataqui Allah yajalu lahu makhraja" that is part of Quran verse meaning whoever fear Allah, Allah grant him an easy exist from his difficulty (loose translation here ) . He said I did not know that at that time but was surprised that he used such an expression we don't have that style of speaking.. but did not pay more attention.. then That man gave the OK that guy is now came back to be a good christian.. he then said one day I came to knock on Cell of a monk in that Monastery and we knock once, (if he does not answer we think he is in prayer or something), we wait a bit and knock second time if he does not answer (we think he is sleeping) than Knock a third if he does not answer (it means maybe he is dead ) then we entered. he said I must have knocked light or something the third time so he did not hear me or something.. and when I enter I found him praying on the floor like a Muslim!! The old Monk said "please don't tell anyone of that son, son I have been like that for 17 years and I can't stand their torture" it is in yotube there are more details which is more shocking.. it is in youtube. I bet many people are like that.. A son of a priest in Venezuela said his conversion story, , he came to talk to his father trying to see if it is fine to be a Muslim.. the father was neutral , the son saw that the father has good knoweldge about Islam, and have many books about Islam in his room and did not say anything bad about Islam etc.. but said "if you become one keep it secret because I earn money in the church and we don't want to be in the street" few days later he told him, and a week later the father came happy he said "I want you to come to the church I have converted 100 people" the son asked him "Dad!! were they educated people" to make his dad reflect, the father said "no, they are poor peasants " and gave thought to it.. the son said "well father what is the use.. it is like fooling them they can't read the bible and see errors etc... etc etc" a week later the father became Muslim and left the church. So there are many many people hiding their faith for many reasons , media lies, reaction of family etc... I would guess the real conversion rate is probably at least 6 times what we hear.. May God guide us all brother. Amin.

@John Tyler Any use of instrumental music is haram, only vocal music is permissible and that too is restricted especially these days because some if not most contain subliminal messages that are haram.

@@doityourownway No It seems you've misunderstood, I meant that All instrumental music is haram and it's obvious that it's haram if you read or you have known about Bukhari stating on it he quotes that the prophet said: “From among my followers there will be people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks, and the use of musical instruments as lawful" While the use of vocals ONLY is permissible, IF these vocal songs contain subminimal messages that takes about Sex, drugs, or anything going against the commandments of Allah and his prophet then vocal singing becomes haram. But if it does not contain that and it does not make you stray from Allah then vocal songs becomes permissible. Musical instruments is out of the question all of it is haram except the duff and we that we are not 100% if it's halal, some hadiths say it's permissible to an extent like used only in weddings and eid and by women only. others say all musical instruments are haram including the duff. So it's better to be on the safe side and avoid listening, and Allah knows best.

@John Tyler I think if you read my comment you will understand more but, I don't thing going against Allah will make you closer to Allah, read my comment below and you will understand that it's better to avoid such things and if you want to get closer to Allah read the Quran.
