Frogs are the new gun General: alright get your frogs Army:*gets the frogs* Frogs:bbblllllaaaaaaaa Frogs:ugh i hope my babies won't have the same fate i have
All I think when I see the picture of the frog and it's baby inside was "we are her inner demons" or "oh crap they found out our disguise!" or even "PEEKABOO"
Me thinks David Blaine has studied this situation and learned that if you're the right type of frog that can survive the stomach acids and he swallows enough air he performs an unbelievable trick. Pretty gross.
Me: *hears the word projectile vomit* **Looks over at the screen and sees baby frogs getting shot out of the mother's stomach like a machine gun, Dies** 😂😂😂😂
Has Jurassic Park taught you nothing? Nature can't be controlled. For all we know every dinosaur is a carnivore and everything we think we know is false.
Chaitanya Singh Its impossible, the DNA has broken down, even if preserved in mosquito blood in amber since it has a short half life compared to other atoms and molecules
Yeah he said he has to go to church and he said he will be in town tomorrow or tomorrow night for dinner with us at thanksgiving dinner with us some i for the next church ⛪️ and I have to go to sleep and then we can have dinner at the hall and I have a couple things that we need for church tomorrow and then I’m going to church tomorrow night and I will let you know when I get home and love you have a safe thanksgiving
loved this video, even if bittersweet. about de-extinction, i'm worried that it could stop all the efforts made for preserving endangered species, because, you know, "we can bring them back!". it's a great thing, as you stated, to study this frog, or even bring an extinct specie back, but must be more careful to preserve biodiversity.
Every scientist I've talked with about de-extinction totally agrees with you-it's a back-up plan, not a primary conservation strategy. That said, there is also only so much money for scientific research to go around, so it's a valid concern.
I look forward to all your interesting uploads, They for sure are never boring. and the way you explain it to us with so much enthusiasm makes it so much more interesting as well. :D
a. i'm really into your background in this video and b. hearing a (nuanced! and interesting) de-extinction conversation that wasn't about the wooly mammoth was a breath of fresh, un-frozen air.
The name of the project reminds me of "The Lazarus Effect." For those who don't know: The Lazarus Effect is a horror movie about these people who create a way to bring the dead to life, but soon discover the supernatural side effects.
Another great video! This one was especially captivating though. The music and the spinning background combined with your beauty and the story of this amazing species was enchanting to say the least. My children and I love your channel. Thanks for the all the cool videos.
I'm a divorced father of three, 10 year old boy, 8 and 6 year old girls. You provide a fun and easy way for us all to get together for quick bits inspiration and snippets of knowledge. Plus I love to show my girls women like you to help them feel anything is possible. If the Lazarus project is ever successful will you do a follow up episode? So neat that you answered back by the way.
" and here we see the frog vomiting frog in its natural habitat" *frog startled by the camera getting closer* "and here we see a baby frog machine-gun in its natural habitat
This reminds me of the scene in finding nemo where they get to school and one of the mama fish opens her mouth and all the kids swim out of her mouth while she says “ I’LL SEE YA AFTER SCHOOL”
Hi Anna! I was surprised when you said they were extinct, since isn't there was a living species of frog that carries its developing babies in its mouth?.. or it carries them in the mouth once they are frogs. I can't remember what its called though.
Oh, I know what you're talking about! In the Darwin frog the fathers carry the babies in their vocal sacs. It's similar, but they're not actually swallowing the young. Sadly, I think they have also been affected by chytrid fungus (though I need to do a little more research on that.) Maybe I'll do a paternal care strategy video for fathers day and include them :)
That's the one! The Darwin Frog. It would be great if you would include them in an upcoming video! There are also a number of species of fish that also carry their young in their mouths... Lots of mouth breeders out there.
I saw only this youtube, and yet I feel I can state that such short movies should be a "must" see for any kid (one a day). It may show the diversity of science domains and the beauty that can be found in each one. When I was a kid (50+ years ago) I was curious, but there no such media and no such "Gifts" that you provide to the world. I am sure that there are no less curious kids now. So the "thing" you are doing has a great importance to the world. Moreover, the media you use make it available to everybody, anywhere. I hope it will echoed in the whole world. Great job!!!!
Hi from Australia! I actually grew up and was born in Queensland for about 4-5 years and there were always toads and huge green frogs! But we never touched them especially not the roads cause the toads are poisonous.
Mom: Get off you’re phone sweetie and do your homework Me: mom I’m learning Mom: yeah right ( looks at phone) Me: dumbass Mom: ( slaps me ) Me: ( grabs a banana and hits mom ) Mom: AH
frog frendo : yo dud what doing frog:i feel sick fam frog frendo : o rly frog :*barfs up babies* frog frendo :whadda fuak *i put bad grammar intentonally*
Well, father frogs would sometimes do the same, carrying their young froglets to the end, so that's some ironic twist to the fact that female mammals are the only ones carrying the babies; yet father froggies are doing it too. At least there's advantage in that when ensuring that the large numbers of tadpoles would survive, as occasionally both parents share the same responsibility. In the other words, frogs are a weird species as whole but interesting too.
