When most people go into the woods they try to avoid snakes especially cotton mouths. Emily and Ed go into the woods looking for snakes and cotton mouths.

We had American Bullfrogs where I used to live, I only ever caught one in the fall, getting close to winter. I walked into the chicken pen to go let them out of the coop, but before I got to the door I saw something crawling in the mud, kneel down and it's a chilly HUGE bullfrog. Picked him up, plopped him in a bucket so I could prove to my parents I got one, let him go again near the pond out back.

When I was little, the kids at my school started this thing were we started digging this "hole to China" every kid would surround the hole and just spend recess digging further and further, it was a pretty deep hole too. One day everyone was digging like normal went the dirt in the hole went thump, like something was under it and jumping. We paused and then continued digging when a HUGE toad just popped out of the hole and scared everyone, every kid was running and screaming away from the hole. I did too it freaked me out cause I didn't know what it was at first, then once I realized it was a toad we went back and took it out of the playground out of the fence and just continued digging. I think once it got too deep the teachers made us stop and they filled in the hole, but digging that hole was so fun as a kid. And man that toad memory is one of my favorites, I still don't really understand how he got so deep though...
