This should definitely be a class! Pros about it: - Speed being close to Scout's - Gatling guns on the back - Delivers supplies to Engineer and other players - Can hold down enemy classes such as spy. - Can alert team-mates - Guards areas such as sentry nests and control points - Is dog Cons about it: - Colorblindness - Low health - Is weak with biting - Cats annoys the player (maybe idk) - Heavys will be disappointed in you stealing their sandwich But to be honest, it'd be very annoying to go into a server with a bunch of Guard Dog bots. *bark spams intensifies*

Literally one of my two most desired concept classes for TF2, along with Civilian, lol. Make Spy be unable to disguise as a Guard Dog, but make him still be able to disguise as a Civilian by pressing 0 (Notice how currently there are 9 classes, so to solve that little issue if both were added, Civilian's Spy key would be 0 and Guard Dog's would be non-existant, because you know, it's pretty hard to disguise yourself as a dog, lol.) The Guard dog sounds incredibly useful, honestly.

Having the Guard Dog as an alternate to the Sentry for the Engineer would be amazing. Or being playable, that works better honestly.

From the thumbnail I thought it would be an alternative to the sentry where the engineer would make a robotic mobile sentry. But honestly I do like the idea of an entirely new class altogether.

I love the idea of this class having a pack delivery mechanic. It'd mean playing the part of an eager dog bringing engineers and other players supplies, and it'd incentivise Heavies to dump their sandviches on them at round start, as if giving them a treat.

Mann's Best Friend. Interesting concept, actually. Might be neat to see, but would need heavy balancing. Perhaps it could be the first instance of two classes' features actively working together. Mann's Best Friend could bring supplies to any engineers, and engineers could upgrade the equipment of Mann's Best Friend. Would be neat to see something like this!

Love how you make him talk between the scenes like the other Meet the video but he just say ‘’Woof!’’ instead of actually talking

I can definitely see this being an actual class, a bit more on the support side of the spectrum with some light close range assault. Might have the least hitpoints out of every light class but has absurd speed and high DPS and a small hitbox to compensate. Not to mention the support role you could play by carrying health and ammo packs around. This seems like a lower power more support oriented scout and God I wish this was real.

My dearest congratulations for being factually accurate to the April Fool's joke that was released almost 10 years ago.

New class. But instead of a health bar, it has a shield generator that when it runs out, the pup runs away back to the spawn location where the shield recharges and you “respawn”

If this was an actual character it would be stupid overpowered cause nobody would ever want to try attacking it.

This could be a good class, maybe primary could be the gatlings, secondary the propelling thingy's, and the third could be the teeth or such. Also, you could see enemy players (and spies) faintly through walls? Maybe you could alert other players with the secondary if you're stunning a spy?

Imagine just playing casual and suddenly you see Spy on all fours barking at people disguised as a dog

-Fast as scout -125 HP -No secondary weapon slots -Higher melee damage -Can take medical and ammo packs and deliver them somewhere else -Primary weapon: Dual Guardians: 2 guns mounted on the side of the Guard Dog, around the same strength as snipers SMG -Primary weapon: Laika’s Landers: Allows guard dog to do weak flamethrower damage with left click, and boost in whatever direction they are facing with right click.

we need this as an actual class

This could honestly make a decent class as a support/glass cannon role maybe with locked turning radius as your on four legs to account for being a hyper scout automatic weapons possibly have the guns be more for stunning or pushing enemies around and have high melee damage

The dog doesn’t die, instead when it’s health goes to 0 it conveniently has it’s teleporter (which is also part of the sentry backpack) take it back to spawn resorting its health too

One problem some people are having is no-one wanting to kill a dog, so instead i suggest a fear meter instead of health, bullets visually never hit the dog, and it jumps away from explosions instead of being flung, if it gets to scared, the respawn time is it running back to back in fear.

I love how none of the Mercs even try to hurt it cause they actually have basic knowledge that you should never hurt an animal, and I respect that, Soldier was the only one who really tried to hurt it.

I need the Guard Dog as a Playable Character

Guard Dog is quite the sentry supporter.

Traits for the dog: (Gonna be a lot) Low health (think spy or scout level. Maybe even lower since he’ll have a much smaller hurtbox. Maybe 100) Above average speed (as another said slightly slower then scout and only gets one jump so Scout still has the monopoly there) Spy Scent (How this would work is like being near a family member in Texas Chainsaw. When I’m a small radius around a spy the edges of your screen with change into your team color) Base Weapons: Machine gun: These side turrets fire like an smg but has ammo similar to a minigun. Best in mid to short range and is best for closing the distance as your charging an enemy Bitedown: The dog does a small lunge forward while biting. I’d it hits an ammo or health kit it will pick it up and will change colors to the corresponding team. When doing this the dog can’t use it but anyone on the dogs team can use it simply by being within a small radius of the dog. If the dog dies while holding a crate it will remain for a short while before reverting back to its original place and in that time anyone can use it. If the lunge bites a player it will trap them as the dog bites onto their leg. 2 things happen during this. 1: the dog growls loudly, a way to alert nearby players that he’s trapped them. Spies will u cloak or transform and nobody can move in this process. 2: a bar will appear at the bottom and is influenced by mashing movement keys. If the trapped player wins they are freed, if the dog wins, they can temporarily drag the player leaving them vulnerable. The captured player can shoot at others and look around but this may lead to distracting you from the bar. Melee: it’s simple melee but I imagine the dog will have a higher base damage for it since your goal is to get in close as fast as possible Feel free to comment what you think other weapons should be. Like I can see the bitedown being exchanged with like the rocket pounce. I’m exchange for horizontal distance and speed it would make the dog unable to carry any items on his back and if further balancing requires maybe make winning a bitedown more difficult for you

It took me a while to understand the random Barking in between scenes was an interview.

I can't imagine how powerful a mini-sentry would be if it could bite you at melee range, run faster than the scout, and sound an alert to the whole team (instead of just the engie). Doggo would literally carry the team.

i personally think that instead of a class it would be a engi secondary or primary replacement that would be a dog kennel when deployed (like a sentry or dispenser) it could spawn the dog which would be able to sniff out disguised or invisible spy's and hold them in place so the engi could kill said spy.

This would be a great 10th class!
