It's amazing the lengths to which Hammond will go to avoid building a genuine tone wheel based instrument. They would happily assemble the Death Star if they thought it could finally produce sound like a regular ol' B3. ...of course their magnificent Death Star would _necessarily_ fall short, because a copy of a sound cannot be as rich and attractive as the original sound.
As an owner of a 50's Hammond B3, I can attest to the nightmare of keeping the copper drawbar contacts clean. Does this B3 still use electrical drawbars, or optical?. Also, how easy is it to clean the key contacts? I assume they are still electrical. Lastly, why does it still have a Start switch?
