Meet The Implacable! Tier 7 British Carrier (World of Warships Legends Xbox Series X) 4k 

Hey Spartan, fun fact about HMS furious. It was originally a battlecruiser in WW1. Nothing very unique about that, what is unique is that it had the largest guns in the world save for Yamato. It had two single barrel 457mm guns, and even more interesting, when it was originally turned into an aircraft carrier, they only put flight decks up front. Meaning at one point in this ships lifetime it was an aircraft carrier with a single 18 inch gun. And it was completed in this form and served. Not for very long, and not for any significant battles before it was turned into a true aircraft carrier as it’s shown in the game, but it is actually the ship with the second largest naval guns ever mounted on a ship, and it was at one point an aircraft carrier with a single 18 inch gun. I really wish they included it in the game in that form. Not very useful I know, but imagine how fun it would be to have an aircraft carrier with an 18 inch gun at tier five. If nothing else purely because of how unique and cool that ship was

HMS Implacable lead class of the Implacable-Class Aircraft carriers, she was launched on 10th December 1944 two days after her sister HMS Indefatigable. Her first mission was hunting Tirptiz, which she found but couldn't engage due to lack of planes. After the surrender of Germany, Implacable would transfer to the Pacific as flag ship of the British Pacific Fleet. She would conduct sorties against Japanese ships including crippling IJN Kaiyo a escort carrier on 25th July 1945. After the wars end she would help bring back soilders and pows. She would finally return to England on 3rd June 1946 where she would join the home fleet. She spent the next few years as a traning ship while taking in a few patrols, she would finally be decommissioned on 1st September 1954 and broken up for scrap on 27th October 1955.

HMS Furious was a converted battlecruiser, the Courageous-Class. She did alot firsts, the first landing of a airplane on a moving ship, first hybrid aircraft carrier and the first aircraft carrier to launch a successful attack on a land based target with aircraft in the Tondern Raid on 19th July 1918. She also in her battlecruiser form was armed with 18" guns, the first ship ever armed with that size gun.

Whether the carriers are horrible or not, they are part of your team, they have the most points out of any... it still my job as a cruiser, battleship, or destroyer to protect my carrier

Can WG hand us a carrier commander with a skill set to "Reduce Aircraft Restoration Time" by 3% - maybe 4%?. Fixing up those damaged or wiped out squadrons a little faster, could definitely help. Or maybe a carrier commander that has the ability to reduce plane engine overheating by 5%. Or a commander that can "Reduce the dispersion on dive bombers/carpet bombing" by 4%.

Gotta pay attention to the reticle when carpet bombing. The reticle shrinks and the smaller the reticle, the more accurate your bombs are. I was in JB best AA at that tier and I kept getting harassed by Implacable... he did 10k damage just from the bombs AND kept constantly setting 2+ fires.

The British CVs should have had insane deck armor.

The good thing about the torps is there ludicrously accurate. Not to mention that u can drop them right on top of the enemy. That's there bueaty Yes there slow There good for coming down on the bow of the ships. And the carpet bombs u weren't aiming them long enouph for them to reach full accuracy I do agree tho c.v.s need a damn buff. Longer secondary and rocket planes would help.

Also the Furious has the front flight deck it got during a refit in 1917, or 1918 I forgot. The front flight was terrible due to the turbulence of the main tower. After ww1 Furious got a full flight deck, but still kept the main tower in the middle for some reason. The Furious was the “special child” of the courageous class.

It needs a buff look at ur score its too damn low

Implacable seems to play like the Furious in terms of the mechanics. Even the planes seem to be the same speed. The Implacable is my first ship above Tier V so I’ve no idea what to expect from the enemy ships. I should research them. But initially my first couple games my planes got shredded instantly, so was putting up scores akin to this video - which I think is respectable. Someone has to score medium. At Tier V it was hit and miss if you got shredded. So I totally forgot that some folk ditch a round of bombs before heading into action. I must remember that. I actually liked the torps at any Tier as you’ll definitely hit a battleship. And so at tier iii I’ll go in with torps, whereas tier V I use HE because that first run all enemies are clustered and will kill my squadron during my first dive. I find Cruisers hardest to hit. The HEs are best for both cruisers and destroyers. *But then I’ve probably learnt bad habits.* The game doesn’t teach you anything from what I can tell. Like I just learnt from this video, you’ve put points into the last row of commander perks (green?) without maxing out the rank. Oh I thought it was linear & connected. I’ve only got basic (hybrid) John, so no rush. Just like reading the comments, I can’t see the oval reticle that well (maybe through colourblindness or my TV is so far away), so never noticed that it shrinks for the British bomber. I’ve never found basic videos that teach you the absolute basic mechanics and on screen stuff. It remains that I still enjoy the carriers. I do way better than I do with cruisers and somewhat the destroyers. Battleships are my only ok class of ship. I think it would be more fun and tactical to play in a squad/party. I like the JPN tier iii carrier for its dual torpedoes and speed. I cannot stand the bombs. I also enjoy the Russian carrier at tier iii , and the only ship I’ve got kraken. And I’ve just unlocked the first German carrier and it’s been my most successful ship so far, think average 80k damage (purely torpedoes as I can’t fathom the bombs). But I know at upper tiers that will totally change. As a carrier my biggest fears are the torpedoes of destroyers and carriers. I’ve had a couple games they get too close and are shredded by secondaries. Hiding is handy later into a match. And sniffing out the destroyers also key. Later into a match the battleships become a bother if they slip through. I also don’t know what it is that shreds me but sometimes there are a set of planes that tail my squadron and kill them all in one shot - I thought that all ‘anti aircraft fighter planes’ attacked you say within 5km, but very rarely I’ve seen it where they actually arrive onto your tail within screen shot. I’ve flown over various ships with that orbiting target circle (presumably fighter planes) and I just get bullet damage and death of just one plane or two; this is nothing like the rare attacks I’ve described. Odd. Oh. And the stats seem off. When dropping HE bombs I’ll often end a match with say 25 hits but only 2 fires. I get most success of fires hitting citadels but not guaranteed. I get best accuracy going length of a ship. Those stats are worse with torpedoes for flooding but I’m unsure what success you’re supposed to get. Nice intro video tho.

Implacable was a more or less retrofitted Illustrious class. U can say same as the 2nd wave of the Essex class who was a bit better armored and a bit longer.

Torpedo bombers, low and slow to release your torpedos or they fail when the torp hits the water ( irl ) dive bombers you want to release at a mid altitude, go above the AA until over the target and dive then release. sadly the game doesn't handle the mechanics of them well. and congradulations, your vids convinced me to give WoW a shot on steam. ( silly me went broadside and stationary to a battleship in the Chester. I won. )

When your attacking a ship from behind you best dropping the torpedo basically a few meters behind the ship and due to the short arming distance you usually hit

As someone who played Parsval, I given up on using a CV commander and made a Secondarys build, so far they are able to reach 8-9km, also will to rebuild, and 2.5 second reload.

As bad the Implacable sounds, the Hermes has all the stuff Spartan brought up, and it's torpedo bombers attack singularly. Yeah, after I manage to get the big boxes British Carriers are not a priority, of course I'm till working my way through Tier 3 with the others so I largly agree with Sparatan as to how enjoyable they are.

Believe it or not Furious was once a battlecruiser with 18inch guns that was converted to a carrier.

I got 12.5k with 2x fire, i dont think it is the worst carrier and the bombs hit dds 70% of the time

So far I'm loving HMS Furious can't wait till the till I max her, a shame to hear your not a fan of the British carriers but still thanks you for making a video on them and giving me some ideas for cammander skills, after slightly changing what you used and using a diffrent commander in inspiration I found myself rather comfortable with my current setup.

Furious was originally a battle cruiser but it wasn't fully built so they stuck a flight deck on the front but didn't remove the superstructure so the pilots who had to land on her had to fly around it lol

I think Starscream would be a good inspiration for any carrier commander.

They’re definitely gonna buff this ship, it’s not even competitive enough with the Lexington or Shokaku, let alone the goat of carriers Parseval.

I have been doing good in the T5 CV. Especially taking out enemy DDs.

I wish I had more shadow camo so I could make more permanent camo's. I really like the shadow camo on Kansas too. Might as well look cool while overpenning everything... Why do I play CV's? I only jump into a CV after I get crapped on by one during a match. I liked them early in the game, but not so much now. But, if I get tormented by one, i always jump in the Parseval and take out my frustration.

Furious was part of a Series of 3 Ships The Courageous Class All of them Were built and All of them were sunk during WW2

I used the Hermes to get the creates from the mission and it was awful just painful just 1 torp and almost dose nothing bombs are bad too this just seems to be a good keep people spotted cv

Got the overflow achievement with the Hermes.

The game says that the planes have low hp, it is one of the weak points of the British carriers so idk why you are saying they are supposed to be crunchy. And when you go in between 4 tier seven battleships, one being an Iowa, you can expect to lose all your aircraft lol

What I find interesting is the AA defense is quite good on these carriers but yet again you are buffering it.what is the AA defense on it without the buff?

My issue is that nobody plays the tier 3 carrier so how the heck am I supposed to level it without paying money for it, I know AI battles are a thing but that is SOOOOO slow

Maybe I’m the odd man out, I love this carrier, it’s a carrier though and is boring to play but I absolutely love it.

The British carriers are beautiful. No offense to the Americans spartan, but Langley doesn’t look like a carrier. I know it’s a merchant ship but still. The British carriers all look really good.

Can you explain how you did the math behind determining what calibre of gun can punch through the armour?

The maps are to small to really take advantage of a carriers power, in Legends CV's need a CA or CL escort.

How do you have that ship already? It just barely came out?

Carrier play is great team play.....I love it. 😂 apart from when your on epicentre and then you are fucked. I generally attack destroyers and cruisers, let the battle ships occupy the opps battleships and disrupt the pesky destroyers.

The furious is actually really good and from my experience one of the better tV carriers

okay honestly, the aircraft carrier is good. the planes are good. but brother what are you doing? "you can only unload one strike" mate you literally send the first 2 back what ya expect. "they get shredded" you only have 2 planes. of which one gets destroyed under AA fire of 3 ships. so if you don't make the first 2 attack groups return you can strike multiple times. and that time saying most usual strike of 4 bombs, mate, your other plane got shot down just before you dropped so you made a full hit with 1. oh and in 20:45 you admit you're not great in carriers so in my opinion you can't be a know it all with the ship if you can't play it right. great example: 22:10 you see a destroyer but don't go for it. biggest mistake. you have to go for it, not only to spot it and assist your team but also because it has no use to attack a full hp battleship because that's gonna lead nowhere. idc if you disagree with me or hate on me but here's my opinion based upon my experience with british carriers which i've been playing with for 7 months because they're actually great.

Unfortunately you really needs a team to use this. Soon as a ship uses damage control you light them up. Torp planes are only for baiting a ship to stay or go broadside to a alley ready to ap citadel them.

I never play them. I think carriers could be better to play if there were maybe two or more working together and if the match itself were a historic scenario with actual objectives. But that’s just me.

Carriers now are just used for spotting, their completely useless. As a dd player, never had a issue with carriers easy to dodge with practice. Don't know why WG listen to the cry babies, like kleber was never op , yet 3 nerfs is a disgrace.

parseval has great bomb's and torpedoes Lexington has great he bomb's but torpedoes are not that effective Shōkaku have very powerful torpedoes but the he bomb does not do a lot of damage Implacable bomb's are useless because they hit everywhere except the ship and the torpedoes are just tooo slow
