How do you feel about the 4 players the Lakers picked up on draft day (day 1 + 2)? Let me know your thoughts in the comments down below! Thanks for watching! Don't forget to drop a like + subscribe if you have not already :)
@@Baylorbetterthanbrownwhy? Dalton on about 99% of mocks had him going in the lottery picks. Also his 3 point shooting is great while putting up almost 7 3’s a game. Ohh and he averaged 21 ppg in college
Why? MANY great NBA centers over the years have been in that height range. Bill Russell 6' 9" comes FIRST to mind. Wes Unfield was 6' 7". Ben Wallace and Dave Cowens were also 6' 9". Draymond Green and Charles Barkley both spent time at center - at 6' 6".
Whats crazy to me is bronny weighs the same as the French guy and is 6ft1 and seeing his recent training videos he looks to be a little stronger than he was even in the combine. So he could even be 215-220 now or be there by the time summer league starts. He will most likely have a final growth spurt and may reach 6ft5 with shoes or 6ft6 with shoes, which would be more than enough. He is definitely strong enough to guard bigger players and has the reach and if he grows even a few inches more he can be an absolute nightmare on defence for even bigger players
yep crazy potential but I thought this season we had great defensive individuals with AD, Cam Reddish & Jared Vanderbilt even outside those three the rest were above average at D (maybe besides Dlo & TP) but our team defense was really bad. We need to turn these great defenders into a great team defense.
@@kdt110 you’re definitely right on that. I think that’s a coaching issue too. I do think players have to communicate but it seems from what people like AD and others have said that at times they didn’t even know what coach wanted them to do. So it seemed like there were too many inconsistencies on that end. Hoping JJs team will be able to find ways to better utilize our defensive players and put them in a position to really play well. I also guess injuries didn’t help with chemistry. This year hopefully everyone can stay relatively healthy and we can have a consistent line up and players get consistent minutes throughout the whole season. So everyone knows their role and just comes to play. I’m excited to see how things go for sure
People need to cut the bullshit. People are acting as if we used our first round pick on Bronny and people are acting as if we’re going to build around Bronny. People love to talk about real fans so here’s my argument. If people are real basketball fans, they would love to see a father son duo in basketball especially since it has never been done
I'm definitely with you as far as rooting for bronny but not all are bro, I'm seeing a lot of hateful people praying on his downfall which is hella lame and weird but that's the world we live in smh
Knowing the history of the Lakers franchise, The legacy of Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Wilt, Worthy, and KOBE, Shaquille and now the great Lebron on and off the court. Taking Bronny was the best opportunity the Lakers had to make life beautiful for the James Family. Jeannie Buss needs to be commended for recognizing the importance of this historic draft choice. Best to Bronny James, and of course LeBron James one of the greatest of all time
I like the draft picks and there is plenty of potential from all of the pick ups. Unfortunately none of them are massive defenders which we need on the court in my opinion. So the question of having defenders and a bruiser of a Big by the start of the season are still unanswered. With that being said the positive is that we have plenty of shooters now which is good considering the modern N.B.A and the direction that it seems to be heading in. With D-lo opting in and stating that he wants to stay in L.A that could mean that we'll have his shooting ability next season. And when LeBron taking more of a roll player position in the team that could really help D-lo and guys game ask around. Also being coached by JJ a former outside shooter himself, may help his game as well. If not his contact screens,"sell me", as well.
Not a bad draft for the Lakers. I don't care much about the age . I only care if they gonna be solid role players . I hope that Bronny will be a good PG , cause now he can learn a lot from his father. I can't wait to see these 4 guys in the summer league.
Yes ,he probably faked the cardiac aswell and secretly working out to make teams not want him. I mean they were doing what ever to please bron so I feel like he told him to drop his rank so Lakers could pick him up,hes going to blow up ,I know this was the plan the whole time, mark my words bro ,he gots something cooking for us to enjoy
I lone Knecht, he was in my top 3 guys I liked, and realistically the only one the Lakers would/could draft at 17. Castle was my favorite player. If Bronny was 6’6” or better he’d be lottery, but 6’2” he’s small by nba standards. It doesn’t mean he can’t be impactful. If I were him, I’m getting 2000 shots a day. Watch other small guards and see the things they do and get nasty tough on defense. Usually it takes these guys until their mid 20’s to get it together. Oh, I think Knecht is a bigger and possibly better AR. Lakers need to get some BEEFY CENTERS.
You jelly and mad. U cant escape the king. If MJs sons were any gd, they would have received favor and attention. Gotta be something more important to be made about
@@darrencroom7701 not jealous. Just not dumb enough to see what happened. That kid don’t get drafted with LeGM LeBron is a washed out old man…. Nothing to be jealous about… more like an embarrassment on the Lakers part.
There is still a small window for Bronny James to hit a growth spurt. If he is Lucky, He might still add up at least a couple of inches. That would be an excellent blessing for him.
The Lakers should trade Max Christie,Austin Reaves,Cam Reddish,Rui Hachimura to the Nets for Bojan Bogdanovic, Cam Thomas, Cameron Johnson,Dorian Finney-Smith.........
it kind of feels like they're rebuilding w/o completely tearing down the team. they have some young guys that can be something in a year or two from now. i'm ok with that but i know most Lakers fans are championship or bust every season
Dude, look at Max Christie. Who's excellent at teleporting through screens and defending. Who can shoot 40% from 3. Who's 6'5. And he's barely a second stringer. Now look at Bronny. Who's undersized even for a PG. Who can't shoot by NBA standards (although, this might change, he's got some fundamentals). Who might be working hard, but his defence is still limited with his size. I'd really hate to see father's ego and selfish pride ruin his son's life. Bronny might actually be an ok soccer or baseball player or something. But he doesn't have the size for basketball.
why did you add brony as one of the draft steals?? lol..come on bro......bronny only on the roster due to his dad....stop lol..G league bound and he needs time to get good.
by the time any of these players will be seasoned enough, lebron and ad will both be long gone. you don't draft 19 year olds expecting them to instantly fit your teams needs.
WHY WOULD ANYONE CARE ABOUT A 55TH PICK? Please Tell Me That? Because Other Than The Fact That He's LEBRON Son, Why Would Someone Be HATING? The NFL The NBA and Major League Baseball Is Full Of Nepotism Especially In These Front Offices.. But Naw Let's Talk About The Never Been In Trouble For Nothing Young Black Billionaire..FOH Because All This Shows Is We Still Got a Long Way To Go 😏😏🤷🏿♂️
Bronny James < what a waste of a draft pick. Will be a waste of a roster spot. He was drafted to make the Lakers a circus, not a serious contender. His addition is also a slap on the face on other more deserving young players.
Using a draft pick to appease LeBron is one thing, but wasting a roster spot on Bronny... No way! Unless they use one of their 2 way contracts on him he's only going to get cut and sent to the G League. I really can't see the Lakers using a roster spot on Bronny when we're meant to be contending.
I enjoyed this fair analysis of Bronny. He’s got talent for sure. Enough with the Lebron hate transferring to his seed. Let’s go Bronny! Excited to see how he develops
