This week, the newest pump coming to the market is called the twiist. It’s a very different shape - circular with a top half that twists off - with very different software - Tidepool Loop. The company behind this pump - they’re called Sequel - wants to be different as well, hoping to offer solutions to bigger issue than basal and bolus rates. It’s very ambitious and we have a wide ranging conversation about it all with Sequel’s CEO Alan Lotvin

Medicare covers only a tiny portion of a pharmacy obtainable pump. They cover nearly the entire costs for a DME pump & supplies.

The pharmacy part is very good and convenient but I went on Omnipod through the pharmacy in three months I was thrown in the donut hole

Will the twiist be covered under Medicare Part B or will it need to go thru Part D

Looking for advice for my father 87, Type 2 , not technically inclined, we have a Dexcom G6, he lives in an assisted living in MA where they are not permitted to deliver insulin shots. We spoke to his endocrinologist who thought a pump would be too complicated for him so we are looking for another option. Listening to these talks, seems there must be a way we can set something up that has a 7 day +- supply where we can manage the delivery remotely. Any thoughts , suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Lastly we currently pay someone to come in once a day to deliver 10 units of lantus.

I could not follow how this pump is able to be moved around. I would love to also have more info about the alarms. My adult son HATES all the alarms with dexcom/tandem combo. He actually switched to not letting his pump and cgm talk to each other anymore to cut some of the alarms. He really misses the pump turning off when going low but the alarms were endless. I hope this pump allows all alarms to be turned off except urgent low and maybe urgent highs. Are there places to get more info on this pump. I googled it and you didn't even come up.
