I had the honor of meeting this guy last week after Dear Evan Hansen! He did a talkback for my school group that was able to visit New York. He's a really nice guy, honestly.
WHAAAATTTTTT HE LOOKS SO DIFFERENT HOLY SHIT I LOVED THIS VID CAUSE OF HIS BOMB TAP DANCING AND NOW I'VE SEEN HIM AS CONNOR AND IM SOA;DKSFJA;D WHAAATTT
i can imagine ben, will, and mike tap dancing in sincerely me. i remember from tap dancing that the shoes were always so damn slippery. so what if connor just jumps in for the sincerely me reprise and slips when screaming "yEAH THE INSANELY COOL JARED KLEINMAN
Forever my favorite Morris!! Mike gives so much depth to every role he plays, he really puts his all into making them relatable and well-rounded characters. Even a guy like Morris Delancey, who was originally an extremely unsympathetic character (in the '92 film version,) gets to have a backstory and a likable side. And that's awesome. Major respect for this dude! (Also, his Newsie character, Mike, is just the best. And he gets the best threads, too!)
New game: spill out a bag of M&Ms on the counter and eat one every time you see a comment of DEH fans who know nothing about Newsies but are watching this for Mike
From Newsies to Dear Evan Hansen to West Side Story film remake. I never been to New York but hopefully seeing Mike as Riff in West Side Story will be worth it. And he’s a good tap dancer. If only Mumble can see him now. Happy Feet reference intended.
@@conanagain4638 I saw him in a bootleg of deh before if that counts. I also watched newsies before but I saw the filmed disney plus version so he wasn't there
He was excited about being on Broadway THEN. Imagine how excited he was when he got the part of Connor Murphy. Or going back in time and telling him how much bigger of a part he'd get in a Broadway musical in the future and that he'd be a fan favorite and be nominated for a Tony. Ugh, he's just the most precious little ray of sunshine. What a cinnamon roll.
I don't know exactly what you mean, but I guess I kinda do? I have face blindness, meaning I don't really identify people by their faces so much as by physical traits (like hair length, height, build, mannerisms, fashion, etc). So whenever people change something (even something small) about their appearance, it's hard for me to recognize them the same way. Like with Mike, I know this is Mike Faist, but for some reason my brain cannot connect this as being the *same* Mike Faist as the guy with the long hair; it's almost like my brain categorizes them as different people even though they obviously aren't. (sorry for the super long explanation; I'm not the best at making a long story short)
